I love how Rusty impressed the judge so much he pulled strings for him like that.BTW: Sharon echoed his statement in episode 7 of this season when she said that Rusty's idea for allowing Buzz to run the partials sounded more like a lawyer than a reporter.

Actually I used to think he was a real asshole. He first appeared in early season 2 where his refusal to accept a deal lead to at least one other death. His actions lead to Rios' one shinning moment where she stood up to him for his behavior.

I thought the same thing about him. Rusty has changed a lot thank to Sharon, the team and also Gus. A real family unit. And yes, he cheated on him, but made Rusty communicate more his feelings and thoughts in a realationship. As lawyer like Judge Grove, he will be an amazing won. I think that Rusty could a prosecutor or a judge in the end.
