@@JackSnell-g2g ok sure, but then you'd want to try and put in super effective glasses to get around the health buffs and pennys, and that's not even taking about the fact that zard not playing enough energy to use minor effectively.
@user-rq2ju7ig9w which gives genger a better use because it's ability just lets you switch on the spot as opposed to minor's, which requires your manual energy attachment for turn.
as an arctina player, I feel the common mistake of Zard players against me is getting too aggressive. I feel like zard players play into hitting without getting a KO on an arceus for an easy max belt tina/leaves KO often.
As a great tusk mill deck user I am currently 12-0 against Charizards. It’s a very easy matchup for great tusk since all HP boosting attacks will put you out of range. Though I also run flutter mane and Mimikyu which have been handy.
I haven't put a lot of games into Zard yet this format but so far Eri seems awesome. I beat a Chien Pao by sniping their Prime Catcher and Rare Candy, and then OHKO'd the Pao with a Max Belt on my Zard. Was a sick game. I cut Jirachi since I haven't been seeing enough Sableye online and none at my locals to justify it. I also really like 2 counter catchers.
Lugia matchup is not that difficult, they just struggle to get those Archeops out until maybe turn 3, when you're so far ahead that you cannot lose anymore
Ive found Lugia really tough, most of your % is as you say: when they’re whiffing and take a while to summon, also getting an early counter on an archeops to deny the cinccino bursting all the way to 5 energy Otherwise the matchup gets way out of control!
Why does Charizard want to go second most of the time? I thought evolution decks always want to go first so that you can evolve and attack turn 2? 🤔 and which matchup would it want to go first then?
@@OmniPokego second allow opponent takes 1 prize card in his/her turn 2 When you are 1 prize behind, it’s ok, something can work when your opponent is leading
Find an Iono and hold it until they're about to deck you out. They can't afford to play much hand disruption since they need to constantly play Sada/Explorers to mill as fast as they need to. Don't bench anything they can gust either, it's the best way for them to buy time.
@@kingishkingif you iono me then I’m just going to mawile trap and mimikyu stall until I pull what I need. Plus chances are that mill would just dismantle your deck since it’s a stage 2 and rare candy reliant mostly
In the last month pidgeot has out performed bibarel in Japan, and we know pidgeot has great pedigree from the last format! Bibarel still viable though no doubt
Even matchup with great tusk mill? Charizard has almost no way to beat that. It can’t one shot the tusk that will almost always have the capsule to 2 shot and even holding iono doesn’t do much cause it doesn’t stop the problem just delays it a turn. It’s as unfavorable as it gets. Even if the only active pokemon is Zard/pidgeot it’s still not enough
Like I said, the data is to be taken with a pinch of salt, I’ve also experienced a slight unfavourable time into tusk: it’s by no means an autoloss if you can play conservative though!
It's not a popular tech, but I'm trying out a list that had a 1-0-1 line of LO Gasly and PAF Genger for switching against stall.
not popular for a reason, it sucks. Minior exists
It would be good for a gouging fire ex deck, but too many slots used

Because the deck really wants a robust board going 2nd giving us that supporter helps us establish multiple basics more reliably to play the game

Will definitely give this a whirl!
Did you create that tier list for the matchups? or does trainer hill create it? I was trying to figure out how to find that data for other decks.
I’m taking the %s from the Trainerhill website (which scrapes online results) and then I’m placing them into these categories

Sure can! The other 90hp one can help against Mimikyu so that’d be my go to extra copy
What's your opinion on hibride 1/1 bibs next to pigeot ex and 1 Tm evo with 2 charmeleon?
Haven’t played a huge amount with hybrid and it does cost a few slots but more draw is rarely that bad

Zard is the best deck because it'so easy to win with.... its way to Over Powered.

First so you can evolve / attack t2
I prefer second to have the higher chance to build a solid board with help from supporters
