Everyone knows that the regional taxis are the one shifted to ISBT.. that doesn’t justify the question I suppose . And if the regional taxis are shifted to ISBT than NST buses should be provided 24*7 because I have been there and the NST bus ply only once in the morning only when the passengers are available and we have to wait till the bus is filled .. living in a generation where time is money I think this is such a bad decision specially it’s creating a bad impact on poor people like us . I ply dmp to khm every weekend and I spend ₹2000 ( before I used to spend only ₹700) Thank you Sir for such good initiative of shifting regional taxis to ISBT and creating such big holes in the pocket of poor people .
24*7 wouldn't be possible especially after having learnt that only a handful of people use the bus service to ISBT. Waking up a little early, going to the concerned bus station and waiting for sometime is only a fair compromise; Of course that is in my humble opinion.
Sir for convenience of everyone and especially for the students community please reshift Taxi stand in old Station since people are facing untold hardship to catch taxi or bus from ISBT.
He must be bribed by the Taxi Association. The Current Taxi stand is very inconvenent for a poor people like me. We spend the same amount we paid to the sumos.
I agree it's hard to even travel to kohima these days because of extra taxi fare after reaching taxi stand and taking another taxi to reach the destination.
Brilliant discussion. Huge respect to you, sir and excellent LS show. With regard to shifting of taxi stand to isbt there are some major throwbacks which urgently needs to be addressed: 1. Normal travel expenses of public/ common man increases . (Not all passengers are rich) . 2. Adding more traffic congestion as Five accupants have to take one local taxi each to reach main town from isbt. 3. Time! Almost all the travellers to our busy Capital city rushes with limited time for various works and business as such the passenger tend to take local taxi instead of waiting for smart buses to be filled. (Under construction Bypass road from AR camp towards IG stadium will surely help minimise traffic congestion ) Thank you.
The poor people like me are suffering. We have to hire a taxi which cost Rs 150 or 200, Scooty hire Rs 100 fr isnbt to town . Imagine the people coming fr Phek ,and all the eastern areas .
For officers and bureaucrats earning salaries above a lakh, taxi fare of 1k from Kohima to Dimapur is a miniscule amount to spend, just paan tamul korcha only. The lawmakers and officers implementing tier 1-2 city laws of 1 million population and above and policies which have very good and cheap public transport system in a tier 3 city like Kohima and Dimapur( where cheap public transport and other basic facilities is nil ) is totally a wrong move no matter the justifications. Bring in good roads,24/7 affordable state city bus and accessibility and then talk about reducing traffic . I know they have dug their heads to come up with all kinds of measures and solutions for traffic reduction but they often forget or ignore the most important factor,i.e public
Sir, mokokchung and wokha taxi stand shifted to polytechnic, dimapur taxi station shifted to isbt . But why jotsoma and jakhama / mao gate taxi parking at the same old place???
It is not done for the personal interest. It is done for the betterment of society. So we as society also has to cooperate . NST buses are provided so go for it. He clearly mentioned that.
why don’t the government implement the meter system in cabs so that the price of fares can be controlled upto some extend? Just opening up isbt where common public has to suffer is not a good initiative.
1100 fare+400 taxi fare+500 fooding on the way+ 1200 for hire to reach..village from roadside. Citing an example of the way to home from Kohima to Tsg.😊😊😊
ISBT buses doesn't go unless the buses are full and one time I tried to wait but it took more than one hour to move to ISBT..... I think, there needs to be a regulations that in every 10-15 minutes the buses are to go to ISBT otherwise, no one wants to wait for an hour or so just to go to ISBT which takes only 10-15 minutes....
so nice to learn and know from an esteemed person, who is first hand experiencing and is the authority in charge of so many affairs from many aspects. we really need more exposure about leaders (from different departments, bodies, NGO's, ets) from whom we can directly learn and understand the dynamics of the actions and situations from within our state so that we the citizens can also genuinely appreciate/express grievance of their efforts for the people.
DC should travel from taxi, he will come to know how common people suffers while traveling. Local taxi charge Rs 200 to travel isbt. From isbt its Rs 330. Just imagine for traveling 75 km common people have to pay 600 to 700. Being a DC he doesn't have the knowledge, check the city bus whether it's available after 2 pm.
You forget to mention that these taxi drivers have to pay taxes to different UGs and also earn a living, the rise in gas prices is also not helping. Nagaland is a very expensive state due to the parallel government run by the UGs
Sir, its never like ppl prefer taxis.. 80'/. Public have no knowledge about availability of the bus. How to identify smart city bus😢..till now, smart city bus are not seen anywhere.
Delimitation is very important for equal distribution of developmental schemes from the centre. Also, as i watch this interview, i must say that poor students suffer a lot as ISBT is far. Also, taxi fare to isbt cost more than fare to dimapur. The bottom line of moving away all regional taxi stand is a bonus to city taxis n bike flourishing in Kohima
sir isbt is very bad place,no proper facilities out there, road approaching is so terrible it's like off riding road ha ha jai hoh,sir please come do visit isbd with taxi without AC will come to know how we r facing difficulties.
If the Administrator of Kohima place a note of reservation for the ticket holder during Bus departure hours it will be good, along with it set time for the city bus that the traveller will not miss their Bus.
Very good interesting show and I wish if our DC Chumoukedima start checking ILP. So that the residents under this district could be live happily without any trouble. God bless Sir, shanivas IAS and sir Lunglan go more talk show with other DC in Nagaland👍❤️🙏
Yes we are aware.... Earlier before to go to dimapur. We can get a taxi from P R Hill junction and High School junction. But they are not there anymore nor buses. Coming down to Old NST from PR Hill and High school junction to take a bus to ISBT is time consuming due to traffic and more expensive because of traffic. And while coming from Dimapur, earlier all the passengers came from the same taxi till Kohima, but now after reaching ISBT the number of taxis gets multiplied.. So this change is stupid.
Nothing is changing by shifting the taxi stand the traffic jam ia almost same as before also shifting taxi stands cause students and daily commuters a lot of problems specially in financial ways of means .before shifting the taxi stands we can reach dimapur from kohima by 350 rs . but now it cost us 480 to 500 . nonsense.usless govt
Simply saying easy will not work. But if someone put into practice it is very difficult moving from high school junction to POC is not an easy for those who don't have vehicles. In emergency case waiting city bus in many stands is not easy and moving by taxi from one taxi stand to another stand, ordinary people like me can't afford the fare they(drivers) charged.
Yea before shifting the expenses was 900 but after sifting it increase to rs.1200-1400 for people like Mon district ,if not atleast should have deduct the bus fare of some amounts, just imagine
Now dimapur to kohima fair have to go down.road conditions more better now and they don't reach kohima town which will balance the fair to take another taxi to reach kohima.
Shanavas Sir is such a humble officer. You did good by bringing him to your audience. Your show is the best in Nagaland, according to me. I would like to request you to kindly bring GB Kahuto Chishi Sümi to your show as well. He is a powerhouse of knowledge and wisdom. I'm sure your audience will love to see him too 😊
DC Shanavas is just genius, so brilliant you see the way his respone is so much to the point i mean he just dont answer to questions,Nagaland is just too tiny for Administrator like him.
One of the smartest DC's in Nagaland interviewed by one of the best Talk Show host in Nagaland ~ Really enjoyed 👍
This is the first time for me seeking such a humble person. We Naga have so much to learn from this talk.

DC Kohima is very smart, young & energetic. But we also need more DC (Nagas).
Hopefully one day we will see our CM interview in this show....
Sir for convenience of everyone and especially for the students community please reshift Taxi stand in old Station since people are facing untold hardship to catch taxi or bus from ISBT.
Very true
❤
He must be bribed by the Taxi Association. The Current Taxi stand is very inconvenent for a poor people like me. We spend the same amount we paid to the sumos.
Before ISBT, the travel expenses were about 700rs ie, to and fro but after ISBT you need 2000rs minimum to travel.
I agree it's hard to even travel to kohima these days because of extra taxi fare after reaching taxi stand and taking another taxi to reach the destination.
Well said
So true and as a student it's really hard😭

this comment needs to grow and hopefully we can invite and learn many things from CM be it either truth or blatant lies
Want to hear it from dimapur Dc.
Let The Lungleng show be the Naga Wasbir Hussain.
Nagaland's ISBT is the worst and the most neglected of all among the Northeast. Compare and contrast. It really means it

The two real gentleman I always eager to listen ,thanks a million.

moving out of ISTB from old NST is a very bad decision..now passanger have to paid double fare, commuters are facing so much difficulties

I have the opportunity to meet him once in his chember. He is such a gentleman and down to earth. Glad such a person is our DC....
Wow...! 32 minutes 8 seconds worth investing....
Imagine c.m Rio as amrish Puri and you as anil Kapoor of Nayak film.
It will be great and historical interview.
why don’t the government implement the meter system in cabs so that the price of fares can be controlled upto some extend? Just opening up isbt where common public has to suffer is not a good initiative.
Very capable IAS officer 👍.
A DC who doesn't try to know the ground reality, talk about living in ivory towers.
1100 fare+400 taxi fare+500 fooding on the way+ 1200 for hire to reach..village from roadside.
Citing an example of the way to home from Kohima to Tsg.😊😊😊
Next we want to see neiphui Rio and kahuto Chishi on ur podcast 🎉
😂😂😂😂
