The Temperance card, with the winged child, was the box cover on the original Indy version of the deck. A really beautifully produced deck. You gasping at the Hermit Card was priceless 😆
Until tonight, I never realised there was an independently produced version. I have never seen this date before! Where have I been??
I'm not sure how I feel. The cards I love I really, really, REALLY love but there are also a lot that just don't click with me. Gonna kick this one down the road and see if it sticks in my brain asking to be bought. Thanks for the walkthrough.

Oh my Gosh ! This deck is Beautiful ! I thought i had ordered it but i hadn't. This is the first walkthrough i have seen though i saw it on Amazon. Thank you Simon 🙏🥰 I am definitely getting this one! A couple of the cards reminded me of Fyodor Pavlov's work. It must be the watercolor's and gold in it. Very happy about this one ☺I didn't know it was an Indie deck originally either.💙💙💜💜

@@the_hermits_cave no. Just the lovely deck in a two part hard box. The cards are easy enough to read, but I always love hearing the designers thoughts as they describe / explain cards

Simon, if you look in the back of the book, it says Isabel Hayes was a contributing artist to the Pride Tarot, so I'm guessing that was a card she created for it. I got the Star Maiden Tarot, also a new one from U.S. Games and it appears they have now adopted the angle insert hard boxes, heavily linen stock and substantial book for their new line of products (for the foreseeable future?). They really seem to be upping the ante this season. And this deck is in keeping. After such a long drought for me, finally a run of interesting decks all at once. This is the variety and quality of material I've been waiting for. I think that Temperance card may be from a compilation deck. I've seen it before too. Reminds me of the Little Prince.

Being good can get boring! Never can one have too many decks, lol. The more, the merrier. They’re powerful and unique tools, so that’s my justification lol.
Strength & Hermit card - WOW!
I just bought this on a whim and boy is it stunning. I was trying to avoid more RWS decks but the Hermit card sold me. It reminds me a bit of the White Numen mixed with the Awakening Tarot and a lottle bit the Fountain Tarot for some reason.

Got this yesterday. Beautiful quality, very impressed. The card stock is fantastic just like The Pagan Otherworlds. I can't belive it's a mass market deck. The cards themselves feel like an indie deck. The box however does feel mm though but still pretty. The deck is knockout imo though. Thanks for the walkthrough 😊

There are some decks where the 5 of wands does form a pentagram. Now whether that is intentionally or unintentionally, I don't know. But ever who said that is right. Some decks do have that because I have noticed it in my decks and thought the same thing. I did not know you have a FB group. Cool!
Yes, they was referring to the original RWS image though created by Pixie.
I love the quality USGS is bringing to tarot decks they are publishing BUT it cracks me up that they still sneak their logo on to the backs of the cards. Apparently they don't HAVE to because they have left it off of some decks. On this deck it is well hidden, still reversible (good for them) and not really distracting in any way, but, and to my dismay, still there. 😐 That being said, it does not deter my love of this deck in any way. It will always be in my Top 5.
They won’t be told, will they? Mind you, I’d rather have the copyright on the back than on the front to be fair!

I'm surprised you didn't have the indie version--I've loved this one for years. The indie cardstock is the best I've ever had, not linen, but lightly rose petal. Love the Fool and Empress especially. Glad you discovered this really lovely, well done deck!
