All things have positive and negative sides to them. Anger for instance isn't evil, but to let anger run you to run it over others is. Drive to succeed isn't evil, but stepping on others to get there is a negative thing. The entire point in alchemy, as well as Jungs work is to make the repressed parts of ourselves conscious and to bring th to a more positive, beautified state.
