I wonder why the didnt make it so you could have a full layer of cans on the bottom without any blank space

That always bugs me in an OCD kind of way! I wonder if its because they pick an amount of cans to definitely be able to layer in a row, and then add another inch or two of space for ice to fall in. So if anything the cooler would be a bit smaller if they built it to be able to line up cans without any blank space.

Just received mine today, it looks and feels cheap made compared to my roadie 24. Cracks at the seams, kinda looks like yours has the same problem.

Where the inner and outer shells meet, like the plastic isn't welded.

I wouldn’t worry about it. It has a five-year warranty. I just ordered my Roadie 15 in charcoal yesterday.
