Dhalsim probably takes a lot of skill to use, but it always feels like the opponent has to work so much harder just because of his crazy reach and teleport shenanigans
Sim is so much fun to play but he really is just a knowledge check character. He has to depend on float and his recovery on normals is really bad. Float get's punished pretty bad. In this game when 1 knockdown means getting steam rolled you can dominate the entire match and still lose. Feels bad. I think he needs a couple of buffs to really be viable but he'd be hard to balance.
I wish I knew why is Akuma doing 2HP > 236P xx 214HK in the corner after DI, instead of something like 2HP>214MK>623LP? First one does less damage and it's easier to whiff
New SF6 player here who is trying to train Dhalsim as first character. Getting blown over by drive rush and long combos is soooo frustrating. Even when I see Mochi do combos and drive rushes it give me an icky feeling. I'm starting to wonder if I should give up Street Fighter or just try to stay in lower ranks where I don't have to deal with that stuff.
Advice from someone who tried to start with Blanka. The character may seem cool, but they’re insanely hard to play. Try playing a shoto and you will have much more fun I promise.
I play SF6 casually, use Dhalsim a decent amount of the time, and I can tell ya he isn't friendly for beginners. His moves are all/mostly good but niche, and suffers probably the most when he gets knocked down as it can snowball into a loss. He's not BAD, but I don't recommend him as a first time pick. Don't drop him if he's interesting, though you may want to pick another character like a shoto both for fun and to get a better idea on what your problems are with Dhalsim. Getting icky over long combos is something I can see, I feel the same way a lot of the time, but I still have fun with street fighter especially when you pull off some combos of your own. You may need to continue messing around with combos to see if you truly dislike them.
@@marquesderamus5968Then they need to nerf command grab. If it's too fast, it could become an important part of his toolkit rather than a move to catch opponents off guard.

Alot of it Knowledge check really. But i agree even then it requires alot of patience to play against dhalsim

@@Optii87 Maybe because of the situation it leaves him in afterwards?
Because the first one is actually optimal damage.
Looks way cooler, simple as

Keep at it bro. Dhalsim is crazy hard to use like these pros on replays but you just work on things match by match.

Nerf TS, dhalsim's step up the game
Nerf? His demon teleport needs a buff. It's too slow
