The real question was “Do you feel like I’m egotistical?” Andy did a great job articulating how he felt here. Just give the compliments, give the encouragement, share the love. No disclaimers. Love one another.

Y'all are an example of a man being WHOLE; Saved and seem very well balanced (not churchy or religious), Married, family oriented, business oriented, self-aware/reflective and still working on self growth, hence, Work In Progress!! Keep these Podcasts coming, it's blessing me in so many ways!!

My dad spoke positive words to me every time I saw him, and I literally didn't know how to live after he died. I would give anything to tell him how much he meant to me again. All I can do is live trying to continue in his legacy. This podcast is so important, thank you brothers in Christ.
Hey have you guys read the book "the five love languages" because it basically talks about everything you guys were talking about. Like your love being like a "cup that needs to be full" and "words of affirmation". I love your work Andy! Always get something out of it! And I love your work Swoope! I always knew my dad loved me and was proud of me, but he didn't say it often, it actually felt like I almost never heard him say it at all. Before he passed on he said it. Brought me to tears, I realized i needed to hear him say that all my life! Great podcast guys.
5:36 facts though. I'm the kind who does not necessarily seek praise, but affirmation is nice to comfort my uncertainty and insecurity of my abilities.
Andy reminds me of Steven Furtick in the sit down with TD Jakes, the Crushed one when Steve got real vulnerable. We assume just because someone is great, they don't need affirmation. We end up just wanting to take take take from them and not even realize they need to be given just as much as we do. Big ups to one of my top 3 favorite rappers.
I honestly wish every song with a message had something like this around it. It amplifies the potential connection to the music and builds your life. You connect first with the song by initial reaction and then this peels open the back thought of the song. Powerful.

I call it the lebron James syndrome. Lebron avg 27, 7, and 7. He is consistent. But if he avg 25, 5, and 5 he fell off. We tend to take consistency for granted. Both Andy and Swoope have been consistent musically since they came out.
