I hope you realize that those ones you said were "not fully developed" were actually FULLY DEVELOP! They were on the verge of hatching. And if there is any movement at all, then WAIT!
yes even a quick candling would have shown they were still viable and too leave them longer, hope they are having better success with reading some of what's been posted here.
@@kuttystory1296 that could have also killed it. It's best to wait 20 hours after a baby has chirped if it hasn't pipped (since they are supposed to hatch within 24 hours after chirping) to help it by poking a needle into the egg after candling to see where the beak is. After that if it can't get out it's best to peel the egg shell back gently while leaving the layer between the peep and the shell alone. If it still can not hatch on it's own, break the layer you left alone the first time.
They were fully developed but the yolk hadn't been fully absorbed yet, the first one bled to death, the other likely got an infection from the open wound on its belly that you gave it. Next time candle them (hold a bright light to the egg) and watch for movement. Don't open the egg until at LEAST 25 days.
@@Slyu411 hey im sorry idk if you got a response in time but i was always taught to use a 1% iodine/betadine solution to help dry it and encourage the chick to absorb it, in the shell we have to worry about keeping them moist but if they're already out then you've gotta get their umbilical area to dry out

Terrible, give your eggs atleast 72 hours before you do THIS this is cruel poor babies suffered if you would have left them be they would have survived i hope you feel bad for this
For everyone whose watching this, please candle the eggs before breaking them. I have a hen whose first egg hatched like more than a week ago and she's already teaching her little chicks to find food while the other 4 eggs which haven't hatched yet are not being incubated by her. My mother also thought that the chicks must have died inside the egg but I candled them and yeah to my surprise 2 of them were still alive. So Please candle the egg before breaking or throwing them away. I hope the eggs hatch 🐣 today.
Hey guys I am the same person who wrote this comment and I am here to tell you that one of the two eggs couldn't make it but the other hatched right now.
Hey I just accidentally opened an egg and put it under a cloth will it do it have few hairs and I think I should have let it in the egg but I thought he is struggling to get out so I opened it
@@BestTube yes now he is out and now slightly able to walk I took him into my hands to give him heat and hold him for a whole day now the results are good he is now with her mother but still not able to eat well but he will soon
Well, given that your comment was about one week ago, I imagine you can tell me? Did you check them under a flashlight? Did any hatch?... -Just curious! -Thanks.
Next time, candle the eggs to check viability before opening them. You could also try a float test if it's hard to tell when candling. If you ever decide to crack them open prematurely again without candling as suggested, if you see blood, STOP immediately! We all learn somehow, sometimes the hard way. Next hatch, you know better! Good luck to you and congrats on the chicks that survived!
@@BestTube Also, chicks are supposed to hatch within 24 hours after starting to chirp. Try to get the peeps to chirp first and if they do and do not pip within the next 20 hours candle them to look for the beak, sterilize a needle or safety pin, then poke a tiny hole where the beak is. If it still can not get out slowly start peeling the egg shell and wait, if it still can not get out peel off the thin layer separating the peep from the world.
Wow, you know with the one that was alive but not fully developed wouldve been a sign to leave the rest if the eggs in there for a while longer. Instead your just peeling them apart! You should not have any chickens if you have no idea about how to care for them...
Hmm...usually when a baby is 2 days past its due date with no other problems, I don't think it's common practice to slice open the uterus and rip it out. I'm pretty sure there are several steps between those two points that could have been done first...
If you would of just left them alone they would of hatched! You killed the poor babies😟😡.. Do your research and learn how to incubate eggs before hand. This is so sad.. you killed them..
Yes you are right.I did a mistake when I first time incubate eggs after that I successfully incubate alots of eggs.I share my video so that no one do same mistake while incubateing for first time.Thanks.
Those chicks are fully developed just hasn’t absorbed the yolk yet. Should have waited some extra days, you’d of caused internal bleeding from ripping them out their shells like that. :(
I just spent 4 weeks waiting for my broody hen's clutch to start hatching, patience pays off. She has 4 chicks under her right now, and 3 more are pipping. The worst thing that happens from leaving eggs in an incubator past 25~ days is they "might" explode with a foul smell, (I have never had this happen). Nothing a little soap and water can't fix. So next time, wait till eggs start popping before you terminate the project.
When you saw the blood leaking you should've stopped and when you said the chicks were undeveloped they WERE developed its just the yolk wasn't fully absorbed
It sickening you didn't stop after you killed the first chick. I understand everyone makes mistakes & needs to learn but stopping after the first one you killed would have been common sense!
Oh no, this is sad 🥺 if you had left them alone they probably would have hatched. What you see is the yolk sac, this needs to be fully absorbed by the chick before it hatches. Your chicks just weren't ready yet. First of all, candle your eggs to check development. You shouldn't be seeing completely undeveloped/unfertile eggs at this late stage. Candle on day 10 to check development, and day 18 before lockdown. Remove non fertile eggs or non developing eggs before lockdown. If you don't remove infertile eggs they can rot and explode. If a chick is late hatching try checking if its alive. This can be done by candling or with the water test. If in doubt leave them a few days longer. Avoid cracking open the egg if you think it is still viable. If it does need help (most cases it doesn't), then this needs to be done really carefully. I hope you have more success next time 😊
You are opening these eggs too early. You should wait until atleast day 25. By then those 2 babies probably would of hatched and survived. You basically killed that one. Day 23 is not long enough!
candling is so important and something you should practice when incubating, it's always fun and pretty easy, we just use a flashlight nothing fancy. sometimes chicks can be a few days late and it's always best to wait, these guys were all very premature and needed more time. You can tell by candling if your eggs are viable or not within 3-5days, anything with a blood ring or nothing we toss out because the eggs can explode and contaminate your viable chicks and this killing them. hope you have had better success since :)
Wtf you killed those chicks I was sick watching this. You could have easily checked literally in a dark room with your cell phone before cracking open.. I’m crying right now..🥲 also bet those rotten ones smelled great..
1:57 I did this to my chick it pipped but made no progress over the next few hours so I decided to open the egg to see what happened and mine was not moving but was still absorbing the yolk sack (it didn’t bleed at all) does anyone know what I should do?
