Same age and same comment. Mark Knopfler has been the musical soundtrack to my wife's and my life -- through all the ups and downs. The tears, the broken dreams and the amazing, wonderful highs we've shared together. Mr Knopfler and his guitars have always been there.

Mark's music is always excellent. My husband was his biggest fan (he died almost 15 years ago). Because of him, I had the joy of knowing his music and being able to see him live in Argentina. For my daughter, he was Uncle Mark because that's what my husband called him when he played his music for her to listen to. I'm glad he's still writing great tunes.

I was just watching some old film somebody had posted on RUclips of a hotrod and custom run my wife, now sadly passed away, and I used to go to back in the 80s.
I was feeling pretty sentimental after I caught a glimpse of us walking in the background and then above the chat and laughter there's the sound of the DJ playing Dire Straits. It really bought it home to me how Mark Knopfler really has been the soundtrack to my life.
Really sweet man. Totally understand this. Also lost 1st wife. We used to fall asleep to the song Skateaway. We've been blessed to have Mark throughout our lives.
