@@joshualocicero6799 same here in the UK. I stopped and pulled into the hedgerow on a very narrow country lane to let a truck go past. He failed to slow down and managed to rip some of my side bodywork off. He later denied it and said I was in the middle of the road speeding. The case went to court. The judge was an idiot and couldn't appreciate that if I was in the middle of the road my whole front end would be destroyed. The truck driver was picked up 3 times for lying under oath and freely admitted lying. He had previous driving convictions. I had a 20+ year clean licence. So based on that, the judge decided it was my fault. Senile the lot of them!
“He says you cut him off and cause him to crash” Does he not realize how often people in one car accidents blame others or crash because of overreaction? To be so aggressive and immediately take the other driver’s side is ridiculous.
If he did cut him off then it’s still the other drivers fault. If you’re going too fast that you can’t stop your own car safely without hitting something then that is driving without due care and attention. At least it is in the U.K. & the rest of the world. That’s why I tell everyone when the subject of Dash Cams comes up, to never tell the cops, yours or the other party’s insurance company that you have dash cam footage. Nobody is going to help you but the judge or a jury. Let the other party sign all of the false statements they want. You WANT them to sign false statements. And since you are not representing yourself, by law you do not have to bring up that you have dash cam footage during the process called Discovery. But once you’re in court, seated next to your lawyer and the other party swears under oath about what happened, which will be a lie, you quietly lean over to your lawyer and THEN tell him you have it all on video, and slide a Copy of the dash cam footage over to him while the judge is watching. There! There’s the nail in the coffin of the scam artist, none of His Rights have been violated and at that point there will be a recess. Both lawyers and the judge will enter his chambers. Afterwards, when everyone returns, the case will be thrown out and the scammer will be arrested on a multitude of charges with prima facie evidence including but not limited to perjury, signing a false instrument for filing and possibly insurance fraud. At this point the SCAMMER’s scamming career is Over for good. THIS is how we stop the scammers dead in their tracks. When you get into an accident and know dam well it was not your fault, immediately reach up to your dash cam and put it in a safe place until you can view the footage and see that the video clears you. Do NOT show it to the cops, because the first thing they’ll do is tell the scammer and they will let the insurance companies battle it out. And in the meantime, is out scamming again. The reason our insurance is so high is because of scams. Help rid the roads of this vermin.
I think the claim was correct. His car crosses two lanes when merges into traffic. Not cool. I can imagine that the car coming from the left did hit a post trying to avoid him. It was also not smart to get out of the car.
Pretty suspicious that the officer was "just going to work" and yet happens to field this call, only to hand it over to someone else once he has identified it as an accident caused. Sounds like a team effort on the insurance fraud to me.
It's change of shift, the first officer was allegedly on his way to work. It's the second officer's patrol area. There's nothing odd at all about that handoff.
@@pullybungieharder Nope, definitely nothing wrong about a cop accusing the driver of hitting the other vehicle, only to change his story to cutting off the vehicle and causing him to hit something else once he learned there was dash cam footage. Aren't cops supposed to be a "Neutral Party" if they didn't see the accident? This Cop was straight up siding with the insurance frauder. Unbelievable.
I'm sorry, but if your first reaction to a man leaving his car is to shoot that man (which y'all are claiming was a possibility) - then that man doesn't deserve to be a cop. There was no reason for the cop to act that way. And "get away with" what? There was no accident, he has it on film. Rachael I don’t think you understand what cops go through, everyday there is a high possibility of getting killed. If someone steps out of their car then the cops initial reaction is to defend themselves because you never know if they will pull a gun or not. And since the protests a few weeks ago protesting and saying defund the police, the cops would have bad training and then be more scared and then result to reach in for their weapon.
Correct me if im wrong but when taking a right hand turn you need to turn into closest lane then you can signal to turn into other lanes, here he just did a wide turn and then actually drove in such a way where it looked like his tires were puking out of the side of the yellow line. Am i missing anything?
Unfortunately yes n much worse! They will lie on you. Throw you in jail. Beat you unconscious n or just kill you n nothing happens 8 time out of ten they get suspended with pay which is just a vacation than they return to work and do it all over again to their next victim.
Sometimes these videos are definitely not representative of every police department as there are 50 states and hundreds of counties and cities in the states there are so many police departments and it seems some places are just bad. I have never dealt with any unprofessional police where i live personally but yea the insurance scamming where people try to blame accidents on others so dash cameras have become very popular
Stay calm cops hate that. Also telling the cop to calm down ohh that works wonders lol the main key is staying calm. (STAY CALM). And watch out for the lies. Some cops and people are toxic and will try so hard to lie and make a complete mess out of a good person.
@Ubiquitous Philanthropist the thing is, it doesn't matter where he has been or what his circumstances were. It is a job, in his job, that action was extremely inappropriate and ineffective in upholding the laws. You can't just justify a doctor for failing his job just because he was brokenhearted, right? Same case here.
Two things: 1: That cop is acting erratic and needs to calm down when in these situations. When put in that type of situation, right or wrong, you need to remain calm. That cop needs to realize that. 2: Never get out of a car and walk toward a cop. Credentials or not. That cop cannot see your papers from that distance and you could have any agenda. The cop as no choice but to address you more urgently at this point. That is an easy way to get hurt by a cop or worse.
That cop had every right in the world to get mad at him. He's acting like a complete moron thinking he's above the law because he is a private investigator.
Rebel Son Getting mad is one thing. We are all guilty of that at times. But this police officer is ignoring his training. When you get mad you can get careless. Is the cop wrong? No. He is not. You should NEVER just get out of your car and start walking toward a cop. The cop my yell at you and may become stern with you but that is because of their training in order to take control of the situation. But once the guy is back in his car and the cop has established control of the situation, it is then the duty of the cop to calmly inform the man why he shouldn't do that. If I were the cop, I'd take control of the situation very sternly and forcefully. However, once everything has been sorted out, you relax and talk professionally. That is where this police officer was incorrect. Luckily, nobody was hurt.

@@tomjoad1363 And a video.
Crazy Nate hola!!!

He had a detailed and rehearsed story of a side swipe hit and run, and after finding out their mark had a dash cam, he retreated, coordinated with his partner, and returned with a completely different story about striking a sign.
Seen it before. Do a lot of IT for insurance companies and they maintain databases of officers suspected of being accomplices to fraud, I actually designed the database used by several dozen offices in my area and it included whole departments, hundreds of officers just in Michigan. If he got out of the car when he wasn't supposed to, and then later complied by returning back to his vehicle, this is a sign of a compliant citizen. The officer achieved control over the situation by ensuring he went back in his car. At that point he should have taken a few minutes, calmed down, and then explained in a calmer matter why it was wrong for him to get out of the vehicle. Not get animated, and then slam the door on the citizen, hurting him. What if he had had some kind of foot injury like I had at one point with a recovering broken leg? This behavior is disgusting.

Rebel Son
Getting mad is one thing.
