I don't need to worry about bringing books to college because I'm still going to be living at home. But if I was going far away I'd need to take all my books with me,I'd feel bad leaving them in my room all by themselves! :P
WHEN YOU SAID FIFTY SHADES OF GREY I ALMOST CRIED I WAS SO CLOSE TO PUNCHING MY SCREEN LIKE HOW DARE YOU BETRAY US and then im like wait outlander lol girlllll
Juan Castillo That's such a cool fact. I remember when I met Sarah J Maas, and I couldn't help but see the resemblance between her and Celaena. Even personality wise, they were kind of similar :D
I have to say, you are SO optimistic for all the non-academic reading you will be doing during term-time... I used to be like you, then I got a music & librarian degree... barely back into my groove 7 years later! Best of Luck! x
Books she loves that she needs to take: Divergent (😍😍😍) Poison Study Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone How I Found You Obsidian Throne Of Glass Queen of Shadows City of Bones Outlander Books that she hasn't read yet but she's bringing them: Witch Hunter Rook Vendetta The Young Elites A Game of Thrones Red Rising The Heart of Betrayal Every Last Breath Touch of Power Fire Study Voyager Your Welcome in advance 😊
Love that you're not gonna stop reading when you go to school! Just make sure class work is a priority! I have my trusty HP series, Anna and the French Kiss, and Amy and Rogers Epic Roadtrip for my old favorites and on my TBR pile I have the Winners Curse and Cinder
Hey Sasha! Just wanted to share something with you. I'm about to be a junior in college now..but I was/am an avid reader (reading 12-15 books a month) but when I entered college for the first time, that quickly changed. It would be months and I hadn't read a book! I hope you aren't too hard on yourself with reading because the transition from high school to college is difficult and you will be sooo busy and the days will just fly by! Enjoy college life and I hope you thrive as a college student.. Just don't be too strict with yourself and focus on having fun! :)
I agree. Throne of Glass. Best covers ever. I have them in hardcover and they do look beautiful on my shelf. They are one of the few books where it's ok to keep the dustjacket on.
I'm going to start my studies at university in Berlin, so I'll be moving there this fall. I'm taking all my furniture and stuff with me. Thank God I don't have to leave some books behind :D
I hope you have the best time at college! I'm kinda glad I didn't have to do this when I started university. At most Australian unis you don't live on campus, so I'm at home with my parents and all of my books.
Thank you so much for recommending The Dark Elements to me last year, I fell in love with them and waited with much anticipation for Every Last Breath, and it gave me all the feels! Have an amazing time at college!! x
Sasha! I'm an Emerson Student and I have to say- the dorm rooms are way too small for all of this!! Would recommend cutting down! Best luck in orientation- have fun and remember to try out new things and be a joiner!
I wish you the best at college, your first year is like nothing else! Just make sure to enjoy your first year experience and don't focus too hard on reading everything that you're bringing. Your subscribers will be understanding if you're not reading at the same pace as you have been!
Man, going to college is going to be so hard haha. I don't know how I am going to narrow down my books! Decisions, decisions... Oh well, I have a year! I hope you have fun in college! Keep us updated!!
Bringing books that you love to college is a very good idea. My first semester of college, I brought the Harry Potter series (my absolute favorite series, it helped me through my sisters death) and it really helped me feel at home and comfortable.
When I toured Emerson(which is amazing by the way) my tour guide told me that there was a quidditch team and they practice in the commons and I screamed. I literally screamed right in the middle of the tour. On another note I am so excited to see your journey at Emerson and hope it's amazing because it is one of my top schools
Oh my gosh I am so looking forward to your video with Sarah J Maas! It will be awesome! Good luck in college Sasha! I am always starting college in September :)
I just thought I would let you know that yesterday I picked up Outlander specifically because you talk about it so much! I'll probably love it but just in case I don't its okay because I got it for like 2$! And its in pretty good condition too. I'm really excited to read it :) I also recently read The Kiss Of Deception because you mentioned it in one of your videos and I LOVED it! Thanks so much for giving such great recommendations Sasha! You're one of my all time favourite booktubers
I'm going to college at the end of this month as well! Thank you so much for making a video like this. Now I have an idea of what to bring with me... but a part of me wants to bring all of my books gosh... good luck to our college lives!!
I'm going to be a freshmen in college too this fall! I leave on the 30th and I'm still deciding which books I should bring, it's probably the hardest decision. I think I'm going to bring Fangirl (because it's so relatable, especially now that I'm going to be in college!), either City of Heavenly Fire or Clockwork Princess (both are huge and I an only fit one, and also those are my favorites from each series), Shatter Me (probably my favorite series!), Legend (also another one of my favorites), either Paper Towns or Looking for Alaska (again, I can only fit one john green book), 5th Wave (it's going to be a movie and I want to read it again
I started college this week. I definetly brought my babies. Not a lot but the ones I cant live without. Private peacefull, and Soilder X, The tale of Despereaux, and touching spirit bear. Awsome books.
For my tbr books I'm bringing: Heir of Fire, Cinder, A Court of Thorns and Roses, Fangirl (thought this would be an appropriate book to read since I'll be a college freshmen:), The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, and Onyx. For books that I just love I'm bringing: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, The Lightning Thief, Catching Fire, Divergent, and Anna and the French Kiss. Good Luck at Emerson, Sasha!
I wish you luck at college, you're going to have a lot less time to read and film than you think. I'm bringing all of the books from my JulyTBR to school as well as Voyager, and maybe some of the Harry Potter books and of course my book of all of Edgar Allan Poe's works. I know I won't have a ton of time to read, but maybe I'll have some time when I'm working at my school's library
You really don't have much time to read, but trust me, bringing books just makes your dorm feel like home. But you may feel so guilt for not reading what you bring.
So jealous you have Queen of Shadows! Yay Boston!!! Have you looked at events here yet? Erin Bowman and a few other authors will be here Sept 5th at the Cambridge Public Library. Mackenzi Lee's Book launch event is Sept 25th and The Boston Teen Book Fest is Sept 26th!
+Gothy Witchy It wasn't in mine! But then again mine is kinda small, although pretty much that happened with ACOTAR- I went to check when it was coming out but ended up getting it from the backstore and it was signed even though it was at least 20 days before it was due to come out! I pre-ordered mine from the website, but sometimes my Waterstones pre-order deliveries are a bit temperamental, some will come a few days before it's out publicly,, sometimes I get it a day after or on the day of release, or it takes 4/5 days to ship!
Up in Greater Manchester, but I asked the cashier today when I was in that pre-ordered books are sent from the warehouse rather than your nearest shop, so I could be getting mine around the release date, it's only a few more days until it's out though, I'll cope! :P
I am half-way through Every Last Breath and OH MY GOD it is so good! Exciting, emotional, funny and just everything you would expect from the last book in a trilogy. It is on the way of becoming my favorite JLA book, which is something big because I LOVE all JLA books!!!
I just started a semester at Chestnut Hill College in Philly. Brought two books with me from back home in Denmark - I plan on buying loads over here! ALSO, my college also has a quidditch team and a huge HP weekend in October!
Good luck in college! I really hope that you still have time to film and regularly upload videos. I couldn't imagine not watching your channel! love you :)
I'm going to college next fall and I'm already stressing about not being able to bring all my books. I don't even have half as many books as you do, so depending on the size and shape of whatever dorm room I get I might be able to bring almost all of them, but I know I'll have such a hard time choosing! I'm also planning on starting a booktube channel when I go off to college (I'm not allowed to at home but when I'm away I'll be able to do that finally) so it'll be cool to see how it all works for you.
I am a bookblogger from Germany and I really love your Videos!! I am just as obessed with Outlander and scotland as you are and you brought me there. Stay as you are behause you are really awesome!! I am Starting University this october as well mayoring in German Studien and German as a foreign Language
Sasha! Good luck at Emerson! I'm going to college in Providence :D. Be careful with your really special books. Theres a greater chance that something may happen to them in college than in your room at home :(
haha! you don't even need to go to Salem on Halloween to see witches. My school went there in March and people were walking around dressed like witches. It was kinda eerie, but I loved all the cute little witch shops.
Sasha, I REALLY suggest you should finish the Fifty Shades trilogy! The last two books; they have an amazing plotline with great suspense, and pretty big plot twists!! I promise, your pov of Fifty Shades of Grey will change (in a good way, of course) !!! ily Sasha!
I just moved into my dorm room today. and I brought substantially less booms than you're bringing. I am bringing my favorite book On Dublin Street by Samantha Young, then some of my tbr paperbacks Amber to Ashes, Flawed, Leaving Amarillo, Echoes of Scotland Street, Going too Far and Where Things Come Back. for a grand total of 7 books.
I decided not to bring a lot of books with me to college, as my school is a train ride away from home. However, I am bringing Throne of Glass because you convinced me to start that series!
Polish fans of Throne of Glass had to wait 1 year since publishing second book in America to read it. Next month third book will be translated, so I guess that 4th book I will be able to read.... Something about a year from now? Two? I'm so jealous Sasha!! Anyway, I am so happy that you have got an opportunity and you will meet Sarah J. Maas. Oh God, you're so lucky
I am so happy that my university is in my city because I get to stay at home with all of my book babies and I don't need to struggle with which ones I'm taking and which one's I'd have to part with, for a short time :3 My book babies
I am so jealous you get to meet Sarah J Maas and have Queen of Shadows. I am so excited to see a Sarah J Maas and Sasha video! That will be epic! Have a great time at college! I remember seeing your reaction to getting into Emmerson and I am still so proud of you!
Vendetta is awesome. Good luck with Game of Thrones. I got the audio book and need to listen to it. Red Rising is on my tbr shelf. I love the Dark Elements series. Need to read Maria V Snyders books. I do have them but not a lot of people talk about them. Hope college is going well xx
OMG, Red Rising is sooo good, you should really start it right over, but of course, take your time while reading it, you might have to process it from time to time :D
I'm starting university in September! I didn't think to bring any books with me but I do have a massive TBR list and there are other books which are really important to me! So after this video I'm rethinking and may actually be bringing some books with me!
Salem Massachusetts is by far one of my favorite places to visit and I hope you have a good time....even though your not going for a while..... Still it's awesome and beautiful!
Ah that's so hard to choose!! I remember trying to choose my books for college and it was the worst because my room for books was teeny tiny in my dorm room. I didn't bring that many though because back then (2004 omg so long agoooo. It feels like college was yesterday) I didn't read AS much or BUY as much. I was reading a lot of lit fiction and classics so I brought the things that made me look smarter. TRUE CONFESSION. I also didn't really read a lot DURING college. DARK YEARS. *sobs* Thank GOD I didn't blog or read YA when I went to college or I would have had issues picking. Your dorm mates are going to be so lucky if you let them borrow stuff!! :) Good luck with college! I know I sound like an old person but ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF IT. It will FLY by. It's such an amazing time in your life that is unlike anything you will ever experience again. ALL THE NOSTALGIA. Also, you are really making me want to read Outlander. I just grabbed the whole series when it was on sale for Kindle.
So many great books Sasha! I would probably bring all my personalized books and some of my TBR books. Awesome video and I hope you have a wonderful college experience. =D
You should buy a nook or an I pad now that you are in college, that way you don't have to carry them around:) I'm in college and whenever I have any free time I just read.
I forced myself to only bring my TBR pile and five previously read books that mean the world to me! (Doon, Destined for Doon, Destined for Doon ARC, City of Bones, and The Fangirl's Guide to the Galaxy). But I have like, a plethora of TBR books!
I love your taste in books! I have read a lot of those books and a lot I haven't too. I have written down some of those names. I cant wait to read them! I met Cassandra Clare, Holly Black and Kelly Armstrong before. Those happen to be some of my favorite authors. :)
So many amazing books that you are taking with you! I could never decide which to take. Luckily I didn't have to haha. Wish you all the best for College! 😊❤️
i loved the video! i understand why you are taking divergent; it's so good and it's signed by veronica. and obsidian is my favourite book so i understand why you are taking daemon black with you haha. love you, x.
Good luck at college! Im going this September too but I'm staying at home which means all my books get to stay with me 😈! Such a good selection you've come up! Also this needs to be said "aka sexy author" I agree 200%
I remember you saying something about once upon a time in one of your videos! I just wanted to tell you a book about Ruby's past is coming out in September!! love you Sasha
I'm going to uni the first week of september too and I'm bringing the scorch trials and the mill on the floss!! And I'm taking english literature so I'm SO EXCITED FOR UNII
The first thing I thought when I saw your first book on the pile was "No, she won't..." Are you sure, you want to bring your most precious posession (your signed awesome copy of Divergent) to college with you? Not to scare you, but not all people are nice in college or have the same attitude toward holy books as we bookworms do... What if your roommate throws a party and someone knocks it on the ground, steps on it or someone spills something on it? Even by accident. Or if it gets stolen? I mean, it is signed multiple times after all. (The same goes for all the other signed copies of the all the other books) I totally get, why you wanna bring it but as a college student myself I would really really advise you to maybe overthink it and bring the not so meaningful copy with you. Trust me, I have had this kind of experience with my former roommates already. On a lighter note: I'm so happy you got into your dream college! Wooo! Go Sasha! :)
You are bringing SO many good books with you to college!! Best of luck in college :)
I don't need to worry about bringing books to college because I'm still going to be living at home. But if I was going far away I'd need to take all my books with me,I'd feel bad leaving them in my room all by themselves! :P
Me too! I get to keep them all!
SO MANY GOOD BOOKS

+RunningWildWithBooks Fun fact: Dis you know that was Sarah J Maas in the very first cover😂
+Juan Castillo the one with the girl and the dagger?
yes!
Best of Luck! x

I can't get over how gorgeous they are! I have the UK editions but I also want the U.S ones
+RunningWildWithBooks book depository has them!
RunningWildWithBooks I like the U.S. editions better. I have the U.S.editions.
+Jasmine Dubois I like the U.K. editions better (though, i'm probably biased beacuse i live in the uk) but I can see the allure of the US covers!
Impossible Girl some books in the U.K. have better looking covers than the U.S. editions. I love the U.K.
I'm going to start my studies at university in Berlin, so I'll be moving there this fall. I'm taking all my furniture and stuff with me. Thank God I don't have to leave some books behind :D

Need to read Maria V Snyders books. I do have them but not a lot of people talk about them.
Hope college is going well xx
Good luck in college!! So happy u could get into yr no.1 school :D
Do a dorm room hall!!! And a room tour video when you get settled!!!! Please!!!
Love-love-love the color of you hair and your hairstyle!
Great books!!))
Good luck with college!
QUEEN OF SHADOWS!
WHAT!
GOD I AM SO FREAKING JEALOUS!
I'll be a freshman in college this year and picking out which books to bring is going to be soooo hard I haven't even started to think about it yet
You should do a dorm room tour once you are settled!
OMG the healer series by Maria V Snyder is AMAZING! you are totally gonna love it!
I'll just admit it, Sasha you are the reason I watched all episodes of Outlander last week.
I was terrified that you weren't bringing Outlander for a minute. LOL. Way too invested. Oh Lord, I'm way too invested in the Frasers.
YAY I LIVE IN BOSTON!! I HOPE YOURE DOING A MEETUP SOON
GOOD LUCK IN COLLEGE :D and I thought ToG was going to be 6 books?
Andrea Childers Yes, there are two books left, but she meant that this is the last book FOR NOW.
THE YOUND ELITES IS SO GOOD I LEGIT GASPED WHEN YOU SHOWED IT OMG
I think it's really cool that you're going to emerson! I went to college at Suffolk which is right across the commons and I just graduated in may >.
Good luck at college! Im going this September too but I'm staying at home which means all my books get to stay with me 😈! Such a good selection you've come up!
Also this needs to be said "aka sexy author" I agree 200%
Your going to love Boston!!I recommend going to the arnold arboretum. Its a great spot to read n enjoy nature:-)
The first thing I thought when I saw your first book on the pile was "No, she won't..."
Are you sure, you want to bring your most precious posession (your signed awesome copy of Divergent) to college with you? Not to scare you, but not all people are nice in college or have the same attitude toward holy books as we bookworms do... What if your roommate throws a party and someone knocks it on the ground, steps on it or someone spills something on it? Even by accident. Or if it gets stolen? I mean, it is signed multiple times after all. (The same goes for all the other signed copies of the all the other books)
I totally get, why you wanna bring it but as a college student myself I would really really advise you to maybe overthink it and bring the not so meaningful copy with you. Trust me, I have had this kind of experience with my former roommates already.
On a lighter note: I'm so happy you got into your dream college! Wooo! Go Sasha! :)
