  • Thank you for watching. In this video we will introduce you to Node Red and cover some basic automations.
Node-RED is a programming tool for wiring together hardware devices, APIs and online services in new and interesting ways. It provides a browser-based editor that makes it easy to wire together flows using the wide range of nodes in the palette that can be deployed to its runtime in a single click.
Further videos are planned to expand on this one, introducing other nodes and concepts within Node Red.

Great introducation to Node-Red in HA, thank you. Another useful Node-Red/HA video would be one that would show how Node-Red can be controlled from Amazon Alexa.

Super as always 🙂. I have a ventilation and like to buy a humidity sensor for my bathroom. The ventilation is controlled by modbus. Like to have the ventilation start in high when my homedity sensor is xxxxx and turn off when it reach xxxx again . Love a demonstration on that :)

Thank you so much for your videos. They are very helpful. I have a project and I'm wondering if you might want to make a video relating to. I manage a building that has 18 different air conditioning units. I've put Honeywell Home Wi-Fi thermostats on all of them that can be controlled remotely and via Home Assistant. Instead of using Honeywell's website to control them with their internal scheduling, I would like to be able to do it in Home Assistant. I'd like to be able to manage them individually and in groups and be able to create automations for the air conditioners to go on and off at different times during the week. I think I can do this now by creating groups in yaml and then creating automations in the basic Home Assistant module. Do you have any thoughts on a better approach to this, either using Node Red or some other solution?
