I love your videos and Dale is the highlight that I look forward to at the end. He's like the sweet treat at the end. Hugs and kisses to Dale. He's our boy!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Coastal SC here again. Garden carts have definitely evolved. I'm 53 female. The gorilla line of carts I call flat carts plus the big brother gorilla dump cart is amazing. Also, don't underestimate a good dolly. I can't lift some of my plants but can tip the pot, slide the dolly, then move. Just saying 😊
So far I've used my Gorilla dump cart to move over 58 tons of soil, compost, and mulch over the last three years. It's taken a beating but it's the one specific tool I have at my disposal that I'd say is absolutely essential.
One of the best complementary skills I think a (serious) gardner can learn, is how to weld. I took a basic welding course a couple of years ago and since then I've knocked together a simple trellis, a potting-up station and made some repairs to my trailer. It's an incredibly useful skill. If I, an office worker, can learn the basics, I'm fairly sure anyone can.
I am a 53 yr old female and have recently discover welding. I purchased a small welding kit and plan to create my own trellis systems for my gardening use.
I bought the gorilla dump cart a few months ago. This has been a lifesaver for me. I can mix all my amendments together and dump in place. I also put water in the bottom to soak my plants. I can’t say enough about this. BTW, I’m 74, it’s so easy to wheel around my garden area.
I look forward to the day I have room for a cart and wheel barrow. It certainly is a lot of work carrying 10 gallon grow bags filled with soil and all the other stuff. I make sure to do it when the soil is dry. Funny beginning. Take care of your toes and love and hugs for Dale. Do you ever think to have a bigger compost setup. Gary P shows the one that he does for just leaves and grass with four T posts surrounded by wire fencing and then there’s the open pallet composting setup many people have. It would save you from having to buy it and you know it’s true ingredients. Thank you. Happy gardening. 😊
Another awesome video! 2 years ago, I picked up a small Gorilla dump cart that someone was trashing. It worked so well that I replaced the wheels (the original reason for trashing). The Gorilla dump cart, though small, is a real workhorse that fits my needs perfectly!
I have a smaller garden and I use the smaller plastic Gorilla cart that dumps as well. It's been an absolute lifesaver when we get a yard of mulch or compost delivered.
I have a Gorilla cart, the mid size dumping one. I LOVE it. Great for mixing up top soil for law repairs, moving compost to my garden, etc. HOWEVER, it needs a parkin break! I'm on Long Island, almost as flat as your yard. But my driveway has juuuuuust enough slope that I have to chock the wheels to keep it from rolling when I'm unloading the car. The ability to glide across the yard is why it rolls so easily lol.
Thanks for the video! I’m getting a little bit of a head start on aging due to chronic illness, so getting a good garden cart has been a game changer for getting things done in the garden without flaring up my arthritis.
I just wanted you to know that I enjoy your videos and I’m learning a ton of information from them. I actually save them for future reference. Keep up the awesome content you bring to us. Thank you so much!
I have a gorilla cart. His name is Chuck...get it...Chuck Wagon...get it. He is a good boy. Had to buy him new tires and a new cotter pin to hold the handle on. He is 12 years old. I am happy with my purchase. He pulls more than his own weight. The replacement tires were cheap at Harbor Freight.
Nice video Anthony, thanks. Hugs to Dale. Sorry he's one of those dogs that hates thunder. Thumbs up from Iowa. Maybe Cesar Milan can drop by for a visit and do some Dog Whispering.
I send out prayers and calming for Dale. I used to live in that area and the thunder is extra loud. You could get a thunder vest and/or calming herbs from the pet store or online. They worked tremendously for my two German Shepherds.. Also thanks for the idea on the big garden carts.
Dale….. only the toes knows !!!. You can pull dad around in his big cart till his toes get better and then be so tired you won’t even hear the thunder ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Definitely! I'm still quite young-ish, but I deal with chronic pain from old injuries. I only have a baby cart, but it definitely still helps when I'm transitioning from a long "at work" day to getting some yard tasks completed in the evening after dinner.
Hugs and kisses for poor Dale! I hope he recovers from all those thunder storms and comes out of the bathroom. And yes i got me a cart. But not a beast like urs. Indeed it is a game changer.
Yes!!! 👏 👍 I’ve advised veterinary and veterinary nurse students to be mindful of their backs. The better care they take the longer and more comfortably they can be in service clinically and recreationally. Use the right techniques and the right tools! Great investment, your Rolls Royce of garden carts! Poor Dale! Storm anxiety is real. 🐾💕🐾💕
We’ve had our poly gorilla cart for well over a decade, and the only maintenance it’s needed was inflating the tires. It has hauled many tons of rock, dirt, even modular wall stones. They are wonderful carts.
I used what they called a thunder shirt 👚 for my schnauzer. It's a snug fitting shirt 4 the dog. It helped my dog during storms. May make Dale feel more comfortable also. ❤2all
We have one. We put it on Dale during storms. The problem is, you can't leave it on your dog all the time, because it's so tight we get worried about his circulation. It's fine for normal afternoon thunderstorms, but it has been so constantly stormy that we can't leave it on him all day.
@TheMillennialGardener I had so hoped it would help that little boy. Have a great day. I absolutely love & have learned so much from your channel. I tried starting from seeds this year in Louisville Kentucky. No luck at all. Either left on warming mat to long or over/under watered. Used small watering can. Don't know if should spray instead of water can in the covered cells. Would make good videos for us beginners. When should I transplant into 3-4in pots or just start seeds in that size pot. I'm clueless. Thanks for awesome vids. Fantastic job. Love
@@TheMillennialGardener Sending good vibes to Dale. We have a rescued hound with a lot of big feelings and a fear of storms. The thunder shirt and meds help substantially, but even with those, sometimes all we can do is hang out and try to reassure her like you were doing. Dale is lucky to have such a loving family ❤
I have 2 gorilla carts, and I agree with him! They are strong and sturdy. I love the dump cart, and I got the wire one on FB marketplace from someone who didn't have room for it for a steal!
My garden cart is a laundry basket with a bailing twine rope attached to one end. Although I have to pull it, it saves from a lot of lifting at distance. It's what I have and it works.
Have that same cart and the thing rocks and is a tank. Also great for getting firewood from the wood piles and harvesting fruit from the orchard. One thing not mentioned is they have an included hitch built into the handle, which is really great towing it with a side-by-side. Recommend throwing a piece of plywood down on the floor.
We have a gorilla dump cart ..3 years it’s great! I’ll check this cart out but smaller. Thank you. Good luck to Dale and the thunder storms. We’ve been having some stragglers south of you also. ❤️🐾
I use a little red wagon -- it's a child's plastic wagon but it's narrow to go through my rows. I also use sleds because they're low to the ground -- they work alright in the grass but best in the snow obviously. I have a beach wagon but the wheels wobble too much in the rough ground. Thank you for the tips on carts!
I have the biggest dump Gorilla cart that we purchased at Tractor Supply. It was the best cart we ever purchased. It can even hook up to our lawn mower!
It really is worth the investment. They are actually pretty affordable and they're really great quality. I'm also thinking about upgrading my small dump cart to a larger one.
Thank you! Dale really did a number on my foot. He about tore up the entire yard chasing after this thing. He almost jumped over our 6 foot fence after it. He is quite the prey-driven hunting dog 😮
I’m 70. Love my garden carts! I have a metal one and a 7 cf Gorilla dump cart. I couldn’t garden without them. My metal cart I think is the same size as yours. I think it’s a Husky, but I don’t remember. It’s been a workhorse. Most of my plants/trees are in pots and I also shift them for the winter (zone 9a). Citrus to my front porch and figs and bananas to in front of my garage. Every thing moves inside for the occasional hard freeze, but they have done fine for most of what we typically get.
That is a seriously nice garden cart! I have a cheaper cart but it does fine for my needs. I don't have a long distance to take things but will keep this in mind if I find myself needing one when I start doing a fig shuffle. Thanks Anthony
Awe...poor Dale. Our Bella is a wreck during storms. I've gotten to where I play the tv rather loud and I even play music in the middle of the night to try and drowned out some of the thunder. lol Your new cart is really nice. I have had the green one for probably a decade.
Thank you. I love all of your content. I have been looking for a cart to meet my needs. I will be getting a smaller beast than what you have but I’m obsessed too. ❤
Aww. Poor Dale. My dogs are also scared of thunder and fireworks. Thankfully Debby missed us. Ask your vet about Sileo, I give it to my dogs on July 4, December 31, and any other days my neighbors decide fireworks are necessary. I rarely use it for thunderstorms as they are not *usually* as persistent as the fireworks (and now you know which thunderstorms are the exception).
I got my "entry level " Gorilla Cart (used) 12 years ago... still use it every few days to pull 200lbs of chicken feed from barn to coop. It's in great condition and I leave it outside tipped up against the side of my shed. I highly recommend the brand. Great review!
I have that cart! And it is awesome. I use it with the gates up and sometimes down because that's easier for big bags of soil, manure etc. Slide them right out of the car onto the cart. Also, it was easier to open the box in the back of my Kia soul and pull out the parts as I assembled it. That kept me from having to unload the whole heavy box. I also have the bucket cart you have there. It's what I use for cleaning out the coop because the litter stays in there and I can roll it over to the compost pile. The litter I use is compressed pine pellets that you rehydrate so they expand into a nice sawdust and I also use the cart for that. I unload the bag, use the hose to put in about a gallon of water and wait for them to expand. It's like a giant bucket. You're awesome, and I'm glad you treated yourself to such a wonderful cart. It'll last you for a long long time. As the pneumatic tires start to deteriorate, I splurged and bought solid rubber tires. Best thing I've ever done. I did that on my little cart too. Talk about rolling without effort! That's all I've got, other than I'm sorry about your toes and I love the fig tree shuffle😂
I was surprised how heavy the box was. But, it didn't contain many parts at all. The whole thing was like 10 parts: the 4 wheels, 4 sides, base and handle. It went together really easily.
I have a garden cart like your small one. It's my second one in about 20 years, and they are a must. I would love a bigger one, but I wonder if it's more stable than the small one. My property isn't flat, and it's very easy to dump the contents on an uneven surface. The bigger the cart, the bigger the load, and the worse the clean up if it overturns.
One of the best things about moving things and exercise routine in my work life, I'm months away from being 62 y/o and feel great. In the military hospital days, US Postal Service I learned to lift with my legs and not my back. Look into it and abide by it. However, don't overlook the cart! the Universe gave us engineers to develop these things. Thank you for another great video!! Which Gorilla Cart did you purchase? Seeing you next to it sort of gives us a gauge of how large that one is.
Coastal SC here. Dale buddy my cat Victor Creed feels your emotions. He's mostly been under my bed during Debby. His brother Sam's dog, the chihuahua, can't do his natural paperwork cause his yard is flooded.
Your video made me smile. We have accumulated 3 carts of various sizes and functions since we started gardening in 1977 and I consider each one a member of the family. Then a few years ago we "adopted" a John Deere Gator. They all help lighten our work load in their unique ways. But it doesn't stop with carts. I also am very attached to certain of my tools that I have spent many long hours working with over the decades. They are my friends. :). I feel sorry for Dale. :( We have a cat who is afraid of noisy storms, too, but fortunately, we have a basement where she can hide out where it is quieter until all the racket is over. It's so hard on us when our pets are worried and we aren't able to help them. There is some consolation in the knowledge that they do seem to get over it rather quickly once the triggers end though.
That little garden cart and I have been through a lot. When I had my house built, I was actually renting a house 5 blocks away, so I actually used that green garden cart to cart things from the rental house to my current house. It was quite an endeavor. I'll miss it. The problem with the storms over the last week is they have been rolling storms throughout the day. Normally, we have afternoon storms, which isn't a big deal and we just deal with it, but this has been non-stop thunder, so we just haven't had a break. Luckily, we are finally entering in a week-long dry pattern for the first time since June.
Aww, sweet Dale! ❤❤❤❤❤ I'm praying the storms stop so you feel better!! My babies are the same way. Plus, there are no dry areas for them to use when they have to go outside. Hugs from Florida! Love, Sherri, Bruno and Marlee 🐾
Not for what you get. You'd think it would cost an arm and a leg, but it's only a couple hundred bucks. Not a small sum of money, no, but considering how big and high quality it is and it'll last years, it's a steal.
Very nice cart! We have a large cart as well. I moved 120 bags of mulch, 20 bags of soil and 36 step stones from the driveway to the backyard. It saved me plenty of trips back and forth😊
I bought a smaller size Gorilla Cart this Spring and I love it. The one thing that I wish it had, though, was hand brakes. When I'm dragging the cart down a hill, it rolls really fast after me. 😅 Does the large Gorilla Cart that you bought have hand brakes on it? Just curious.
This cart does not have hand brakes. That's honestly something I've never had to consider here on the Carolina coast since the terrain is flat as a pancake.
Well, I’m a 72-year-old woman getting shorter and more frail by the minute! I can’t do a wheelbarrow (who would want to, right?),but I do have a small red cart (much like your blue one) that is, like most old folks, showing its age. I’m having serious “big-gorilla-cart-envy.” AND I’m thinking Dale might like to tool around the yard in his new cart. Not a ‘67 Cougar and there’s no 8-track, but still pretty nifty!
Just to share a note from my own experience. I went with an "off brand" that advertised "like gorilla cart but cheaper". It was certainly cheaper (not that much though) but it did NOT perform anywhere near as well as the gorilla cart. I didn't realize how poor my cart performed until I was at a friends house and they had a gorilla cart. So I can agree 100% with your gorilla cart statements.
Love the intro! This is a great idea to prevent injuries and lighten your workload. We can’t garden into old age if our bodies don’t function properly. I hope you heal quickly and that the storms pass soon for Dales sake ❤❤❤❤❤
A hand truck dolly. Sure, you can only move one pot at a time. But, you never have to lift a 15 gallon pot. You just tilt it and slide the hand truck blade under the pot. Lean back, and off you go. A 4 wheel cart has its place, too. You need both.
I have three dogs that are afraid of thunderstorms and rain! It sticks. They all have thunder jackets but still they are scared. Hang in there Dale. It will get better in the winter!
Dale has a Thunder Shirt, but we can't use it for the current storm pattern. It's been non-stop storms for over a week, and he can't stay wrapped in it that long because of the tightness. We don't let him sleep in it due to circulation issues, and the rolling storms we've had all day and night have been a lot. He's been groggy from lack of sleep. Thankfully, we finally have a 1 week dry pattern coming and he can catch up on sleep.
@@TheMillennialGardener poor baby! I know all about the rain. In a normal summer season we get rain every day. During Debby we had rain all day for three days. Very scary for the dogs!
I have a Best Choice Products Green Cart like the one you have, the handle on the front broke off, the solder points were weak and cheap, anyways now its stays in the garage and holds my fertilizer and pots. Thanks for posting about the Gorilla cars, will need to invest in one pretty soon.
Wow, you do have so many potted plants. That’s unbelievable. You can almost open a nursery. I can see why it takes a while for you to move them around. Your new garden cart is also slightly higher. I bet it helps your back even more. I like those big tires. Oh…poor Dale😢 Hope you all finally got a better sleep. One of my Jack Russells brought an opossum inside the house that was big as she was one time. I was horrified…
I have *too many* potted plants. I'm trying to whittle them down and shrink my collection. It has grown to be too much to maintain. You should've seen this possum walking along my fence. It was the size of a beagle. It must've weighted 30 lbs.

I'm 69 I think I deserve a big garden cart! Great Video
I agree 100% 😆
Yes you do! But don't get a knock off. Get the gorilla.
I looked it up on Amazon and it’s only $210.00
@@raneesmith3530 You do deserve a cart! I'm 65 so I need them too. I can do a lot more without help and I like being independent.

I got all 3 of my garden carts at estate sales. That’s the best place to find garden tools at great prices.
i am 64 now, so i upgraded my cart .took bottom of old elc wheelchair attached to my cart ran controls to the handle. now i have a power chart.
Aw big love for Dale and his parents for making him feel safe
Thank you. Dale appreciates it
I love my Gorilla Dump Cart with non flat tires. The no flat tires are a way better choice than trying to fix flats forever.
Eventually, I’ll convert them when these tires wear out. These should last 2 years.
That is mine too. You can mix soil in the cart and dump in the raised bed. I bought the no flat wheels separately and put them on myself. . . -
So far I've used my Gorilla dump cart to move over 58 tons of soil, compost, and mulch over the last three years. It's taken a beating but it's the one specific tool I have at my disposal that I'd say is absolutely essential.

I have always wanted to take up welding but never did. I think now is a good time.

That is a seriously nice garden cart! I have a cheaper cart but it does fine for my needs. I don't have a long distance to take things but will keep this in mind if I find myself needing one when I start doing a fig shuffle. Thanks Anthony
Yesss gorilla carts are awesome!!!
I've had mine for 13yrs now still use it to this day!! its been through 1 set of tires thus far
Go Dale, Go Dale... I love your channel and am always recomending it. 😀 oh, and I want that cart.
Thank you! I *really* appreciate it!
You can hook Dale to the cart and do "hay rides" to pay back for the cost 😂😂😂🐕(just kidding)❤
Poor Dale, hope he comes out soon❤
Awe...poor Dale. Our Bella is a wreck during storms. I've gotten to where I play the tv rather loud and I even play music in the middle of the night to try and drowned out some of the thunder. lol Your new cart is really nice. I have had the green one for probably a decade.
Oh Dale, what have you done to Dad? Be brave in those storms buddy 🐕🐾💕
Good info, man!
Hey, I have the Indiana state record for Butternut Squash now at 89 lbs.
WOW 😮 Amazing!
Thank you. I love all of your content. I have been looking for a cart to meet my needs. I will be getting a smaller beast than what you have but I’m obsessed too. ❤
It's a great choice. Not everyone needs the largest cart possible, but this brand is great quality.
Aww.
Anthony, you are a character! Thank you for your sense of humor which is appreciated
Glad you enjoyed it. $9 well spent on that beard 😅
@@TheMillennialGardeneruse it for halloween! You can be Old McDonald 🧑🌾 😂❤
Oh, I am so sorry you got hurt. Hope you will heal quickly and completely.
Thank you. It's been fun limping around the last few days 😅
@@TheMillennialGardener broken toe is not fun
This video couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve been looking into garden carts and reading and watching reviews.
I hope it was helpful!
I am on my second cart 🤪it has saved me so many times well worthy the money. Wouldn’t be without one.
The more, the merrier!
I'd like one that has a solid tub with some kind of dumping mechanism to haul dirt, mulch, compost, ect.
Poor baby. Good luck Dale.🤗
It has finally been nice here the last couple days.
The little entry level cart also helps if you want to haul your fishing gear around! ❤
Coastal SC here. Dale buddy my cat Victor Creed feels your emotions. He's mostly been under my bed during Debby. His brother Sam's dog, the chihuahua, can't do his natural paperwork cause his yard is flooded.
Much love to you Dale! Hang in there buddy❤❤❤
Dale appreciates it
I'm going to make walking canes from my giant sunflower stems.
❤Sending Dale some love from Texas. I hope the storms calm down soon. My Remington hides, too😅
Your video made me smile.
That’s a fine cart! We love ours too, but it’s not the gigantocart that you have! Please give Dale a pat on the head from us
Hook a trailer up to your pickup. Load both the truck and trailer. Transport that way. Big time saver.
Dale cheer up, the Thunder Monsters said (Where leaving!)
Just received my Alaska fish emulsion thanks for the heads up earlier
I looked up the cart and you were right it’s not expensive.
Not for what you get. You'd think it would cost an arm and a leg, but it's only a couple hundred bucks. Not a small sum of money, no, but considering how big and high quality it is and it'll last years, it's a steal.
@@TheMillennialGardener I agree
Very nice cart! We have a large cart as well. I moved 120 bags of mulch, 20 bags of soil and 36 step stones from the driveway to the backyard. It saved me plenty of trips back and forth😊
That is a big haul!
Love the garden wagon. We got one just like it.
Awesome! They’re so helpful.
If you aren’t in sales, you should be… hit every pitch perfectly ❤
Awww poor Dale. Hope you get some sleep. ❤
THANK YOU FOR THIS!! ANY SUGGESTIONS ON GARDEN "STOOLS"? THIS BODY IS GETTING OLDER CAN'T DO THE UP & DOWN SO WELL. 😉😉
I just find myself kneeling down a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if a single step step stool could be used as a decent small seat.
Glad you enjoyed the video. Luckily, we dry out after today, so hopefully we are thunder-free for awhile.
I got a garden cart for Christmas a few years ago, and it has been so handy!
It's a lifesaver for me.
Just love it. Thanks for sharing
You're welcome!
A hand truck dolly. Sure, you can only move one pot at a time. But, you never have to lift a 15 gallon pot. You just tilt it and slide the hand truck blade under the pot. Lean back, and off you go. A 4 wheel cart has its place, too. You need both.
Also, I feel so sad for Dale!!! Poor little guy :(
Luckily, the storms are supposed to let up over the next week.
Dale, you got this! Be a good boy, use that sad face to your advantage and maybe you can get more treats!
that hair flying on his chin... great video!
I thought I got all the hairs off. Cheap $9 beard 😂
My garden cart is solid and the back will dump with the pull of a lever. At 70 (hubby is 78) we try but just can’t lift like we used to. 😅
I can't live without some sort of dump cart. I bought mine when I was 32, and it couldn't have been done without it.
