Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can't hear the patterns separately or when I press the Global play. The red lights on the keyboard show they are running.
Make sure you have loaded a sound too, you have to use a sound with any pattern. If you still have trouble please contact our support department at www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support and you can also discuss SampleTank 3 with other IK users on our official forum at www.ikmultimedia.com/forum

Miquiel Banks You cannot import patterns. We will definitely have expansions and work with third parties so there will be more sounds and patterns available over time!
ikmultimedia : Not being able to import patterns - which should basically just be midi parts - is either pretty dumb, or a money-grab. It's a shame considering how lucrative SampleTank3 is otherwise. What professional user will want to use patterns - ie midi parts - created by someone else?
Richard Bexborn You can import your own patterns into your DAW and route them through SampleTank 3. There is no nefarious reason other than not duplicating this functionality.

Can you change the key or the default instrument of patterns?
TaoMannaDon yes you can change the KEY of the pattern (for non-pitched patterns SampleTank 3 offers a semi-tone offset).

How can I create my own patterns in this program?
SampleTank 3 does not have a sequencer/pattern editor built in. Thank you for the suggestion.
Someone purchased me the Pro Studio Suite. Do any of the programs have a sequencer built in? Is there a plug-in you can buy to make patterns?
