What a superb part two, nothing like watching a craftsman at work and what a stunning end product. Sincerely appreciate you taking the time to record and share this ~Peace~
That was nothing short of anything but pure human inspiration. The amount of time, effort, sweat, care, and love you put into that axe was heart warming to watch. You are very talented and a wonderful blacksmith that should pride his work. I hope you know how amazing and beautiful it was to watch you care for that axe. Most beautiful axe I have ever seen. Perfect.
Always love the idea of owning such a hand axe , Thanks for the you tube videos I will have several before spring time as my ribbon burner is being completed by DIY in a week or so. Thanks for showing and teaching me,Sir.
Great videos man. While I am not particularly fond of the straight handle, the curved handle was really cool. Loved the mirror finish edge and the rough forged look of the rest of the axe.
Nice work man love the finish on the handle and all round great axe, lots of love gone in to it I can see, hope to get my own forge set up in the future
Great work! I saw your axes on your site and they're a "must have" :) I will probably order one from you if you're shipping to Sweden. Keep it up, and please, more videos ;)
+Karan Trivedi Bearded axes were generally tools, not weapons and a long haft would be unwieldy. Space under the "beard" was for a better grip while woodworking - you can actually see Dave do this at 0:58-1:00.
hi, great work. you're a true craftsman. I'm a brand new beginner just wondering what kind of oil you use? I'm looking to get a dark black finish on mine. thanks.
Thats Amazing! Well done :) I would very much like to get into Bladesmithing, but do not have the any forge near me, nor the permission to build one on my land :(
Dave Budd is obviously a very talented bloke who obviously tales a lot of care and pride in what he does. I want one!
obviously
What got me is the sheer amount of love you have to the craft. The pride you had showing that axe....you are an inspiration sir.
What a superb part two, nothing like watching a craftsman at work and what a stunning end product. Sincerely appreciate you taking the time to record and share this ~Peace~

That handle finish came out really nice. I'd like to know what kind of oil he used on it.
Wow! Love it!
Beautiful work. I love bearded axe's, I have several, but none are hand made.
Great and beautiful job
Hi, i like your videos.
I would like to know, can you do a video about how you sharp your axes or other as knives ?
Thanks a lot :)
Very beautiful axe
Look at this video is a very beautiful enjoyment, thank you.
nice stump anvil. real nice axe. why the cross grain of the handle? i love that old press
Outstanding.
Great looking axe!!! It didn't show but did you re do the eye after making the lugs?Just wondered because the big end of the eye should be on the top.
I love to see people working with their hands on the tools. I bet it's a bob or two to buy, shame there only £9.99 at Aldi for a shite one.
I believe the handle is not made optimal, because the grain of the wood should be parallel to the blade.
Good work man
Beautiful axe
Awsome work
Wow amazing question the finish on the handle why that way if only looks beautiful. Curious if there is a function to it and is it just fire and sand.
I wish the handle was a bit longer like a battle axe but looks sick bro. 10/10

Amazing job brother. Its sad knowing that in a few years from now great blacksmiths such as yourself will go extinct.
Thats Amazing! Well done :) I would very much like to get into Bladesmithing, but do not have the any forge near me, nor the permission to build one on my land :(
great job!!!😃
Pure quality.
