If I had to choose between the Proto Pulse Rifle and the M41A Rifle, I'd go for the Proto Pulse Rifle because it has nearly five times the amount of ammo in it.
I think it doesn't use the same ammo as the military one. Notice it took a lot more shots to pop a xeno than the uscm one which was just a short burst.
@@Drownedinbloodis like a smg type, I think the weapon was meant to eliminate human enemies, but aliens can be killed with few bullets since the ammo is probably a 9mm
the M41A is a M1A1 Thompson sub machine gun with a vacuum formed shell around it painted in Brown Bess paint, a Remington 870 was cut down and placed underneath and was fitted with the outer frame of a Franchi SPAS 12 Shotgun and Pump Handle for its Grenade Launcher. after Aliens was made most of the guns were torn down, when Alien 3 was being filmed they hastily put a few of the guns back together and painted them black and were used for the end of the film when Ripley Meets Weyland Bishop and his guards are holding the Pulse rifles. the vacuum formed shells were basically bolted back together hastily and it can be seen on film if you compare them with the ones in Aliens, the seams on the shells don't look as good and that was probably due to time constraints.
@suronia1 the bugs they mention in aliens? And fireteam elite is on most current consoles for pretty cheap, it's on sale for Xbox right now and has a pretty active player base
I was just thankful that this particular rifle in Romulus made the correct sound effect for the most part when it was fired. But to be honest they could have actually just used the original m41 in this film because if you think about it the M16 has been around for what 50? 60? Years now? So yeah, the rifle we saw hicks using could have totally existed during Romulus. It was only like a 50 year gap tween those films wasn't it?
The proto version sound cool in the Romulus movie, just like the m41a did. Glad they didn't change that about it and break what already don't need fixing.
You can tell which designs were made by people that actually operate firearms. Some of those ergonomics are yikes. The folks that made the M41 original made it actually work. Kudos.
I love the original pulse rifle. 80's kid. But I have to say the ergos are pretty bad when you actually shoulder one (I have an evike/snow wolf pulse rifle).
Your Video Title is misleading. You were supposed to talk (explore) about F44AA Pulse rifle, instead you mostly talked about other pulse rifles. Also in the movie Tyler said that F44AA were used by Colonial Marines. So it is not a "prototype" rifle.
So as a gun nerd, the romulus version is based, obviously on a kriss vector. The aliens version is based on a Thompson submachine gun, im the 80s a Thompson wasn't super hard to find, being surplus war material, and in modern day, a kriss vector is a currently produced gun making it easier to get. I basically went oh, modern gun, change makes sense, move on.
Still doesn't make sense in the movie. They should have tried at least, to maybe explain this rifle as a highly experimental design OR a rifle for special forces, W-Y special security.
@@wokeninja1805 Thank you I loved her character in the movie because she was sweet and innocent and was constantly being a punching bag which she didn't deserve by the way but despite all of that she didn't abandon her friends even though she was abandoned for most of the movie and she never got a happy ending which i thought was unfair. It made no sense. I would like some explanation because unless her whole bloodstream and her breast milk was laced with the Z-01 and it merged together causing the Offspring to drink not only her Z-01 breastmilk but her blood as well leaving her as a lifeless husk then it would make sense but nobody has explained it and her death is very vague and frustrating. @SCIFIGAMESFANS For anyone reading this, I would ask them to check out the HK LMG11 concept. It was designed to carry 300 rounds of 4.73x33 caseless ammunition. To carry that many rounds, the entire stock is essentially a box of ammo that folds down for loading.
@@stevesmith1764 That's also a problem with making any kind of prequel decades after the original. The M41AE2 Heavy Pulse Rifle does not look like that at all. What you pictured is an AI generated nonsense picture of a modern weapon, not something from the future.
The Alien franchise has been making the same movie for over 40 years now. Some unsuspecting space travelers receive secret orders from management to retrieve a human killing alien specimen at all cost, crew expendable. The alien gets loose, the company robot falls in love with the alien and helps it kill the humans and everyone dies with the exception of one or two survivors who go into cryo sleep until they are rescued and the cycle begins again. Another mutant super advanced design super weapon system that I am going to assimilate with my super hero.
There is a problem with this weapon setting. A magazine has 450-470 rounds, which is 3 times more bullets than the M41A in Alien 2.
Smaller rounds, less effective M4A1 uses larger rounds with more effectiveness
There's really no way that much ammo is going to fit. Even the original at 99 rounds improbable. It's honestly just a plot element.
