    I'd never ran at all (except when forced in the PE beep test) in my life until last summer. I'd watched you and a couple of other youtubers, and figured I would do a couch to 5k to sort of just say "I tried running and it's not my thing". Except now I'm training for a half marathon in a couple of months and it's the first time I've genuinely enjoyed any cardio, and seeing you live your life with running as part of it has been a big reason I even discovered it.

    How do you still look so lovely and fresh during/after just running a half? 😅 You’re such an inspiration Holly! I’m training for a half and have lost so much fitness after an injury but hoping to get it back with lots of training, stretching and rest 🙏

    this was the boost I needed to get back into running. After my last half marathon in October I have almost completely stopped training. But your videos inspire me to just do it!

    Honestly you have no idea how much you documenting your running journey has helped me, injury recovery and all.
    I realise I’m not doomed to be injured every time I run (I genuinely thought my body was just rubbish) but rather I just never warmed up properly before or stretched afterwards and didn’t factor in effective rest and fuel. Also I would run way too fast and long right off the bat 🏃‍♂️
    Finally building up my endurance and pace in a sustainable way, have a proper pair of shoes, and actually am falling back in love with running thanks to you 🫶❤

    I needed to hear and watch this today. Today is a low day in my spine recovery journey after two weeks now of deciding to not do a surgery on my l4-l5 disc that is massively extruded. I have high hopes to get back to running on trails but right now, at least I’m finding joy in my days again after a long 5 months and hearing your struggle and achievement is everything I needed to boost my mood and remind me of my goals in this recovery period. Thank you so much

    I was training for my first half marathon and got a stress fracture... having 3 months left till THE day lol I'll be back to training in a month or so, with just 2 months of training but I think it's possible. Honestly you're such a great inspiration in running I love watching your videos and seeing how much you've grown

    I started running in August of 2024. I was crushing my PRs, running 3 times a week and lifting for 2. I was at my healthiest mentally and physically. As of December 2024, I sustained an injury that has taken me out for months. I feel AWFUL. You talking about mental health spirals due to an injury is so nice to hear.

      Oh no, that’s the worst feeling!
      My best mental health advice for injury is to see what movement (if any) you can do, whether that’s upper body (assuming this is a lower body issue) or something lower impact like swimming or cycling. Personally, that prevents me wallowing too much.
      Unfortunately, unless you’re a unicorn, you will get injured from running occasionally, but it does make you appreciate it so much more when you can get back to it 💛💛💛

      @@Raccoon00798i totally get it…. I’m in year 5 of back injury where I’m not allowed to run…. I’ve broken down a number of times and run (maybe 30 times in the over 5 yrs) and the 2 periods where I did multiple runs (like over 6 runs in a row… maybe one day off in those 6 runs), I really frigged things up so much worse… like causing a drop foot😰😰🤬🤬

    I recently found out I have moderate osteoarthritis arthritis in both my hips at 34 and sadly no more running, it is so heartbreaking! Now I do mobility and cycling which I love but doesn’t quite have the same high

      My heart goes out to you as I’m in same position but with a back injury (and small labral tears in both hips) and it’s been so tough. It’s been 5 yrs and it’s still a struggle and I often have to fight myself not to run because I’m so desperate to run and get that high. I’m thinking of you

    14:43 😅 Maurten are literally the only ones I can stomach on a run. It’s tragic because I can’t enjoy all the fun flavours, but every other one I’ve tried makes me feel sick. I keep the flavoured ones for long bike rides and swims.
