Correction: this is not her last speech. Her last speech was given on the balcony of the Casa Rosada on May 1st, 1952. The speech heard during this video is the one she gave on the 17th of October, 1951, on 9 de Julio Avenue.
I do not understand why the musical portrayed Peron as a dictator and Evita as a whore and a false actress, Peron brought labor justice to the poor workers of Argentina and Evita was the spiritual mother of the poor and the oppressed by the aristocracy and by British and American businessmen
Péron and Vargas eras will haunt Argentina and Brazil forever. So many politicians were elected on the fame of those famous (or infamous depending who you ask) surnames.
What would be REALLY helpful would be if the Non Spanish speakers of the world could have some English subtitles (Or subtitles in whatever language they speak)
So what?? She was born in argentinian ground. I have Italian and Spanish descendant and that doesn't make me less argentinian. 50% of the people here has some European descendant. That's how the country grew its inhabitants. Read something about history and you will understand it.
For your information. To this day, Argentinians benefit from her changes. A Health service, Pensions, fair pay, Children services, utility services, subsidized housing, votes for women, Children nurseries, single woman hostels and a whole list of other achievements. Their luxury as first man and woman was no more than any other world leader (she left all her things to the state anyway) Her changes cost the country a fortune and did make it poorer, but how else would these things have been achieved. They were such remarkable changes that the ruling Juntas that followed dare not remove the things she had put in place. It is mostly the rich that became much less rich that resent her for this.....poor things!
dejate de joder con pelotudeces forro. Nada de lo que decis es verdad. You are lying, nothing what you said is true so fuck you and if I see you run for your life.
Social benefits from this era are still been enjoyed by working class Argentinians. Some of them were taken away in different (mostly authoritarian) governments
I have always admire her. What a lady, near peoples heart.

Amazing woman. Beautifully touching speech.
It would be good if we could actually HEAR the speech over all the music. We do not need music played in the background all the time.
Brave, brave woman.
Ruhlmann come on don't be so dramatic! it's argentina not uganda!
The last speech was in worker day at 1st may of 1952.
Wow, increible....esta mujer amaba al pueblo
Evita es Argentina, y siempre sera !

The movie musical with Madonna was much more true to her character. :-)

I LOVE to play her (in the musical)

Oh dear, did someone throw their pacifier out of their buggy?
+Rosie Rennie No, but you somehow left your brain somewhere at the bus depot where you got off! 😠
Sorry to ruin your parade, but she's actually a Basque descendant (French-Spanish).
It does not matter, so are many of us here in the Southwest and yet indigenous.
Neil Tagra really did not know she had basque ancestry

🙏Dios aborrece, la hidolatria, esto es un ejemplo claro de ello
Evita Evita!!!
She and Peron bankrupted an entire nation, but managed to live in unbridled luxury themselves. So much for their concern for their own people.
You must be a big boy posting stuff on the net with zero facts and context to back up your statement.
Eva loved Argentina. She spoke from her heart. God blesses the peronist.
