As an immigrant who has moved from a different country, grew up poor and got fortunate financially, thanks to investing etc, this challenged some of my thinking about what we owe to the society especially to the vulnerable and less fortunate. Amazing episode. I love how you give your guests the grace and space to flesh out their thoughts without undue interruption Great interview and lovely banter. Please bring her back!❤
She made a brilliant point which really made me think - we believe in socialism when it comes to the rich like bailing big banks out but not so much for the common, everyday man/woman. Stop paying your mortgage when you come into hard times and see what happens to you and your house- ain’t nobody coming to the rescue!
This was an absolutely phenomenal conversation with a brilliant mind! She was funny, witty and incredibly knowledgeable about the things she spoke on! Keep up the good work. Both of you!
Top notch interview and very educational-opens your eyes to things we don't have knowledge. We perish because of lack of knowledge-need to read more to broaden our horizon
Totally agree with her points esp with Covid. So many people were not compensated for working through Covid but their furloughed colleagues had 100% pay for effectively being on holiday And way too much money is wasted by the government and they need to held accountable
When a vessel is sinking on the river bank, they have to bail out the water so it can repair and keep trading... If interest rates are rising in this cost of living, assets rise and cash devalues. It makes sense to buy assets and turn £1 into £2 (crypto, whiskey, even lego) rather than saving in the bank not beating inflation. When interest rates drop, sell the assets (as they fall) and hold cash...its a cycle.
As an American, I'm going to deliver some really bad news to my British friends. The world revolves around the United States, just ask your prime Minister who went to business school in the U.S, who owns property in the U.S, and who has a us green card. Also, most of his stock investments are in the us. Also, ask all the British actors in the us.
There’s no such language like “Nigerian” 😊 It’s either broken English aka pigin or languages in Nigeria for example Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo and many many more.
I think she was arguing for greater fairness across the board and a more social conscious way of thinking with less me, me, me selfish thinking. It's a shame you found it offensive enough to want to preach to other listeners to unsubscribe. You should read more, take care.

When you borrow against an asset, you’re still meant to make repayments on the loan with interest. It’s clear!
Interest only payments and the cash flow covers the debt
@@fling4206 IF the cash flow covers the debt

"I am Nigerian and I don't speak Nigerian" what language in Nigeria is called Nigerian?
Amazing ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good interviews but the intro edits are too messy imo. I would choose 1 or 2 key points rather than trying to cut so many sentences together
I hear you! The idea is to take various parts of the episode to demonstrate the breadth of topics

That's cruel! Bus every 4days, lolz....
Haha I’m sure the bus is more often than that!
Hasn't she read a history book socialism doesn't work darling
is capitalism working darling?
Lets be equally poor "yay"
Shame … this episode turned into a party political broadcast for the Labour Party! 🤣 UNSUBSCRIBE!!
