Rush Hour Trains at Leeds - 08/10/2020

Filmed on 08/10/2020. Long overdue since a rush hour was filmed but here is an hours trainspotting during the peak of the evening rush hour from West Yorkshire's busiest station, Leeds. (Season 7 Episode 20)
Quite a few changes has been made since the last time we filmed at Leeds with the Northern class 142 & 144 Pacerbuses which are now withdrawn and no longer operating for Northern. Some has gone into preservation throughout Preserved railways in the UK. Although some of the class 142 Pacers are bought back into service to work alongside services in the Greater Manchester areas with other Sprinter units. Sadly, it is unlikley they will be returning to the Yorkshire areas.
London NorthEastern Railway has introduced a new extened service between London Kings Cross and Harrogate with a daily service which will call at Horsforth. Normally, either a pairing of class 800/801 units but for an rush hour session, there was only a 5 coach Azuma unit to Harrogate from London Kings Cross which is rare. In the near future, LNER will be introducing services from Huddersfield to London Kings Cross only calling at Dewsbury along the way. 225 sets also do some Leeds services but mostly on York to London Kings Cross services.
Transpennine Express has cut back some services due to current situation with Scarbrough to Liverpool/Manchester services running only between Scarborough and York. Mostly operated by pairing of class 185's on Scarborough to York services with 3 Nova 3 sets which continues for Liverpool Lime Street. Nova 1's (class 802) mostly operates the hourly services between Newcastle to Liverpool services.

Why are most the northern trains that run though Bradford interchange delayed

On this day, it was due to:
1. Flooding
2. Track inspection taking place.

Sadly, you didn't. All Northern class 144 Pacers are withdrawn either based at preserved railways or at:
Heaton Depot
Worksop.

Well, you can venture into West Yorkshire Leeds. Another station I think you'll like is Wakefield Kirkgate as it's popular for freight workings also RHTT.

Northern is dumb that train should have diverted via Halifax line come up to Halifax and then come out then go back.

In the Halifax area between Low Moor and Bradford Interchange, there was track inspection works taking place which caused delays to Northern services and flooding as well.
