Such a better game than the 2012 reboot...even down to character design. I like how you can read their personality based upon their outfits and, idle animations and brief lines. They're so distinct from each other and colorful looking.
Best snowboarding games hands down. A remastered version would be awesome. I understand the direction SSX choose for the future games to make them more realistic but I wish they would bring it back to when the characters had a personality.

I love the way the music evolves and adds layers every time you progress to the next function. For example, the guy goes "S, S, X..x...x...x". It's amazing musical production.

They have 4 actually. Each transition between races/events. Off the top of my head I know Eddy has one where he makes cash register noises and another where he says "you're not really picking me at you? Teha! Just kidding!"
When you hire ppl like Lucy Liu, Bif Naked, Patricia Valasquez, and Macy Gray for voice acting, you know you got a hit game worth playing for years and years…

Eddie is one of my favorite characters in all of games along with duck King from fatal fury I think if they ever met in real life that they just dance forever. The amount of personality in those two individuals is amazing and it sucks that EA won't make a game filled with this much personality again
Favourites as a kid: Kaori Now: Marisol ( but I love seeiah’s personality the most and love Elise playing the mean role) I’ll forever be bitter that Marisol and Seeiah didn’t return to any games besides the secret character in ssx 3. I love how everyone felt so personal in this game and it was more than just a skin. The voice lines and interactions between, before and after races . The friendship/enemy meter. The fun level up videos. Nothing can come close.

They weren't my games, but my dad's but I have great memories...all be it very vague so details on the gameplay are blurry. One thing I never forgot from this game was the phrase one of the characters would shout when you jumped from a tall height "I CAN SEE MY HOUSE FROM HERE!!!"
God damn we just need more arcade sports games. I'm a big fan of sports but when it comes to games I think the arcade style suits me so much better over simulation type sports games. And there is still hope with stuff like the captain tsubasa game or stuff like windjammers coming back. I think we just need one good ssx or blitz the league to make people realize how popular arcade sports games are.
Does anybody know why the EU version never had Mac? We got his cousin, Marty instead. Always seemed like a strange choice to me considering Mac is one of the faces of the series, alongside Moby, Elise and Kaori.
In the UK Release Mac was called Marty & He was German, He also had long hair coming out of his Beanie however in the intro to the game his hair was just like Mac's

The level of personality given to each character was so good. They just don’t make characters like this anymore.
