It means "The bright days of my youth". The song tells about the youth that is gone forever; the sorrow for that loss; everything was seen as right, peaceful; there was innocence everywhere around. But then, being no more a child, one knows "another" world, so... Enya is expressing through this song the lament of having lost a time of life called childhood, a very bright one in her case.

Enya started with the Irish folk group Clannad. A wonderful singer, with an ethereal voice.

The video was shot in Derryveagh .. This church was built after the Famine by the wife of the landlord at the time after his death & under the church is his crypt .. It’s nestled under Errigal which is the highest mountain.. I always feel blessed to live here in Donegal 💚😀👍🇮🇪

"The Brighter Days of My Youth" is the translation of the title. Such a great singer from a family of great singers the group "Clannad" along with her sister Moya (Maire) Brennan (also a wonderful singer with Christian albums like "The Big Rock") and their brothers and uncles. You may enjoy them as well, they've done some wonderful music used in movies and TV shows like "The Hooded Man" (Robin Hood)," "I Will Find You" from Last of the Mohicans" "Harry's Game and others.

I would like you to react to a song by Diana Navarro, one of the great Spanish singers. The song is live in Salamanca " Los días que paso sin ti," She is a singer who always transmits with her very particular voice, her gestures and those incredible melismas that she does. She is very versatile singing different musical styles and that makes her a great singer. Greetings from Spain.

Loved the song, but those sub-titles could make up an entire comedy show.

A rough pronunciation of the Irish title would be
Na Layha gyal mu oiga 😊

Duine de na hamhránaithe is fearr riamh!
Trína fuair mé aithne agus grá do Gaelic Teanga.
Und es ist verdammt toll, daß in Irland wieder die irische Sprache verbreitet wird.
