Having been a student of Chinese since 1985, I think the most difficult aspects for native English speakers are the tones and the frequent use of idioms from Chinese cultural history, none of which foreigners are familiar with. When I started taking Chinese classes in university, about 30% of the American students dropped the class after a month because they just couldn’t hear and reproduce the tones. The grammar is fairly simple. The idioms often don’t make sense when directly translated, they have to be individually learned, and there are so many! I’ll never master Chinese but I enjoy every minute of studying it, it’s a very expressive and beautiful language. I love your videos!
你们这样交流挺好。会让大家有提高听力的机会。我订阅你的频道。I teach Mandarin too on my channel. But I think this is an excellent podcast to get a lot of listening comprehension practice and Chinese input. I've subscribed. I like what you're doing here. I will definitely recommend you videos on my channel. 我也会推荐你们的频道。😊👍
This is excellent, thank you very much, especially as I am picking up so much vocab while listening to your back and forth discussions. I wonder if you can tell me how I can post Hanzi here instead of writing in English. Thanks.

great episode!
谢谢你!
Thank you for your videos! I've really been enjoying them!
冰麗超棒的,加油!
同意!
很有意思的,谢谢你们

thank you for your kind words!
I want to jion
我也想学汉语难的一部分就是中文是上下文,语境的语言。
Every language is contextual, just to varying degrees and in different aspects.

Why the irritating subtitles? If you put them on auto, please just set them on mandarin.
宾客的普通话很难听。胡乱了声调, ch,sh也是
我觉得听力是最难的方面
我们配有中文字幕 ❤
同意,毕竟说绝对标准普通话的人不多
冰丽的中文真棒! 以后我知道找谁取经。巧的事,我也姓许。 😍
