    Having been a student of Chinese since 1985, I think the most difficult aspects for native English speakers are the tones and the frequent use of idioms from Chinese cultural history, none of which foreigners are familiar with. When I started taking Chinese classes in university, about 30% of the American students dropped the class after a month because they just couldn’t hear and reproduce the tones. The grammar is fairly simple. The idioms often don’t make sense when directly translated, they have to be individually learned, and there are so many! I’ll never master Chinese but I enjoy every minute of studying it, it’s a very expressive and beautiful language. I love your videos!

      我是一个学习中文的外国人, 我同意冰丽的话,中文越学越难, 我的意见是 “不用学习太深, 学一点点就好了。” 我觉得中文最难的部分 是 “中文很多类似的字, 第二声调跟第三声调差不多, 一样的话不一样的意思,等等。中文 太离谱, 中文很奇怪的语言。怪不得, 很多中国人也不喜欢他们的语言。 哈哈哈哈。

    This is excellent, thank you very much, especially as I am picking up so much vocab while listening to your back and forth discussions. I wonder if you can tell me how I can post Hanzi here instead of writing in English. Thanks.

    请问,老师们,如何询问老师的姓名?就是如何替换 "你叫什么名字?"这句话

    • @dashumandarin
      @dashumandarin  3 месяца назад

      一般来说,口语一点就是:老师,请问您的名字是?
