Of course they're cut out & glad they did! That's PR & branding right there. Protestors aren't even targeting the right crowd since its within the fashion industry supply chain that it's fucked up, NOT with the designers!

LUZZY obviously Shein is worse than LV but overconsumption is terrible at all levels. I’m not saying people should never buy clothes, but there are definitely lots of people that buy 100x more than they need at LV, even if they don’t want it.
I don’t know how they disrupted the show, was it physically aggressive or just loud? LV.. Could have left it in as a nod to climate action. Or maybe they don’t want to encourage others.

@@shvicat not impressing really. I did like some of the peices, yes, but they were so few and far between. I did devour the bags however, I thought the bags were visionary.

Eyeglasses were indeed amazing. Some of them closely resembled the costume accessories for Halloween variety bought at the dollar store for kids. I honestly do not know how so many beautiful, truly expensive fabrics ended up looking so ugly. That takes a special kind of talent.

Fantastic! The BEST LIVING avant-garde fashion designer ever. The play on materials, with textures mixing up concepts from centuries ago spinning it to the 21st century without being thematic, remaining classy, wearable & completely chic. His brilliance is a breathe of fresh air against Chanel, and Dior who are left WAY behind in comparaison to this SS22 collection.

@@haikaikokoni369_ I have really expensive taste and nothing much impresses me. I’ve seen better craftsmanship and innovation. Looking at this collection, it’s just kind of boring to me. While you may be fascinated due to your limited exposure of design, those who are truly compassionate about art see otherwise. To declare I know nothing is inviting an attack, but I refuse to partake in such things. In my view Louis Vuitton isn’t taking advantage of their resources. In response to the protestor, they have all the means to offer more transparency in their production and align with sustainable practices, but it’s their personal choice not to. Shame.

Let’s all keep in mind, Louis Vuitton was never intended to be a ready to wear/haute couture fashion house. Louis Vuitton didn’t even start making clothes until 1997. The bags and leatherwear will always be the staple of this fashion house.
I get massive dressage equestrian meets vampires. Some of the silk and sequins blazers with rounded collars were nice.

This collection looks like it was made to appeal to Gen Z. Each outfit was made to look individualistic and grandiose yet monotonous. Super paradoxical statement pieces with an overemphasis on classical references. Don't know if I love or hate it but it sort of speaks of LV as a brand. Gaudy yet cool. Wish they would up on the cinematic by engaging more with the audience since they look uncomfortably awkward as bystanders to a small runway.
That's because there were protesters among the models who were then violently taken down by security. I think that tension reflects on the guests faces. Hence why Ghesquiere comes out with a bodyguard at the end..
