Thank you so much for this teaching of Brigid!!! ❤🔥🙏. I will now have a new understanding of Imbolc celebration and this part of my heritage , Irish and more...
Amazing artwork & telling of her story. Thank you for sharing. Keep up the great work. Bríd symbolises the rise of the Divine Feminine in Éire/Ireland & across Europe ❤
While Brigid is undeniably a significant figure in Irish mythology, blending her identity with that of Saint Brigid feels like an attempt to erase the pagan roots of Celtic culture. Turning a powerful goddess into a saint seems more like a strategy by the Church to absorb and control indigenous beliefs rather than honor them. Shouldn't we be preserving the original myth instead of reshaping it?
@@kristyalberton9498 You're absolutely right! Many Christian holidays have roots in pagan traditions from the *Wheel of the Year.* Christmas aligns with Yule (Winter Solstice), Easter with spring fertility festivals like Ostara, and Halloween with Samhain. Early Christianity adapted these traditions to make conversion easier, blending old customs with new beliefs. It’s fascinating how connected they all are!
That's how they getcha. Looking at a story, arguing about who's it is, perpetuating the cycles seeded with trauma and celebrations, and dismissing the actual personification of the archetypes living the repeating inevitability with whatever truths that were buried and rewritten right in front of you if you're paying attention and really want to know. Not just once. I think it's called Slava to focus on the idol and not see the real.
@@alexwelts2553 That's a really thought-provoking perspective. It’s true that stories and archetypes can distract us from deeper truths, especially when history is rewritten or obscured. Focusing too much on symbols or idols can sometimes blind us to the real lessons or realities behind them. Recognizing those patterns and questioning what’s presented allows us to uncover what might be intentionally hidden. It’s definitely something worth reflecting on.

Yes, because it is pretty evident that it was the Christian attempt to humanize the Goddess. Instead of being the daughter of the Dagda the Good God, she was made the daughter of a druid who wanted to sell her for being too generous to the people. Something a druid would never do, their creed being generous and protective of the people and the land.
Exactly , I can tell when it's a pagan response in these threads. Cause they're about the only people who put any real , spiritual and logical thoughts into it. 👋👋👋👋👋👋

Bingo! That is EXACTLY what christian dogma was designed to do. Where do you think christmas ,easter and halloween came from? The wheel of the year.

I say preserve, separate them from whatever that tries to engulf them and recover their place in the world

She was expunged as a Catholic Saint in 1969, ( because of her pagan origin no doubt), the information is on another thread on this same video...

Not Pagan, Celtic Only, Ireland. Celtics are totally different from Christian too, More Budda than those, thats why she was with Nature.
What are you talking about??.. Celtic paganism is the Celtic gods..
Celts in ancient Britain were Irish, Gaels ,Scots, Welsh and Cornish.
