this ones a bit of a stretch, but tell me if u have anything better! so when ena was in middle school, she was very exited to be an artist and was very confident in her art. as she got older, her dad criticized her more, telling her that in the "real world" she is untalented. over the years, "the fruits of reality ripen within her" and the reality that she may not be successful in life set in.
-Mizuki, who sketches out lies on the mirrors reflection
mizuki and a recurring motif of looking in mirrors. Examples include:: Unyielding obsession 3 star, untrained mizuki is seen putting on a ribbon in a mirror. in this cards trained image is mizuki smiling, while a reflection in a puddle shows them frowning(#emo#brocken#fakesmile). in Hermit reversed untrained, mizuki cleans their mouth in a mirror after throwing up. in mizukis fragment sekai card untrained, the are seen holding up a dress in a mirror. the lies would refer to them lying to ena about revealing their secret, and their "lies" about who they truly are in terms of gender identity.
