Me too! I’ve missed it so much! I checked the channel so many times during the last month in the hope that there would be a new video on Becky’s house❤
Becky's house reno has been my favorite series on the channel for a while now, it's gonna be a sad day when she finally finishes everything........ I hope she changes her mind on style choices indefinitely and continues to make 70's house videos FOREVER
I like the way you’ve remodeled your house section by section. Showing young homeowners that they don’t need to go in debt spending thousands of dollars trying to remodel their house all at one time. Starting a project and then finishing it before you move onto the next one. I loved the green.
I loooooooove these stairs 😭 I’m so glad you went with something more “bold” like this. They’re perfect. Now all I can think about is seeing plants in some funky pots on that ledge, for life of course, but also to cover up some of that beige tile 😅
I missed this series! more of that 70s house please 😁😁😁 doesn’t need to be whole makeover/renovation videos - I think we just wanna hang out in your house 🥹
Becky!!! Truly full sent this space, and it is so freaking good. Took a typically slept on/neglected design area and gave it so much personality. The dopamine I got from watching this transformation is next level. Also, loving this cool/winter toned personal style journey for you
OHHHH MYYYY!!! Becky this is the most dreamiest, groovy, stylish 70s staircase I've ever seen... the final revel left me speechless. SOOOO stylish yet soooo cozy which literally is mcm for me
31:47 I love how Becky choose a stain color that matches Danny’s fur 🥹 The stairs turned out so good 👏 I just think some plants in that ledge would look so cute 🪴
I did not want this video to end! That's how much I love any content related to your home Becky, Austin and Danny! Your 70s style is IMPECCABLE Becky!!
If you're not already, I'd recommend following Jenna Phipps. She and her man are in the process of renovating a mid-century modern home in BC, Canada, and it's been my absolute favorite thing in the world.
Underestimated how much I would love the final product. ALSO you look absolutely radiant this entire video. The colour of that burgundy/plum hoodie suits you SO well.
The stairway looks great and is such a vibe! Love that Danny is now comfortable with it and has a new nap space too. When he’s happy all is right with the world. Well done, Becky (and Austin)! 😊
I love the way at the beginning you really sit down and explain that you've tried your best to make what you have there work instead of just going right into tearing it apart without thinking about it. Like even though you're thrifting and making do where you can anyway, it's still really refreshing to see someone being really conscious about redesigning and not just ripping everything out for the sake of it!
I love that you are doing really authentic 70's choices in your home. I personally am not really a fan of the 70's style, but I am a history lover, and I'm doing something similar in my home, but with another decade. My home is from the 1910's, and I'm filling it with antique from that period. My goal is to have a completely authentic 1910's interior. I feel you so hard on not being able to find items that feel authentically vintage because they are not in style right now!
Love love love the green carpet and teak look. I am literally a child of the seventies....and there is nothing as beautiful as mid century modern. Thanks for sharing and bringing color back into the world.
as a woman who was actually a teen becoming an adult in the 70's the colour green thats more in keeping with that era is an avocado green or a green mixed with yellow - its a hard choice because, I got very tired of the colour as it was everywhere we went - in fact my mum didn't have any of it in her house except in an appliance or two....I still loath it but for some reason the new updated versions of this colour is really fresh and don't seem as depressing...nice job!!! (just one question - why not paint the railing in black to match the bars on the upper railing?)
I absolutely love Becca videos! The thinking or decision making parts are not BS but make sense rather than just adding length. The space looks so good! I would never with the green carpet but I get the vibe and love that Becca gets what she wanted!
I tried the whole video to get excited about the green.. its definitely giving 70s. Though its not my preferred choice, seeing how absolutely excited both you AND DANNY were about the carpet is what matters. The lights were the coolest addition, i really hope you start a new trend with it!
OOOOOHHHHH!!! Grass green plush carpet and wood paneling is one of my favorite combos - so '70s! You did a fabulous job. Keep that mid-century groove alive :)
Re: stain spill @ 26:47 You need some fast orange. They sell it at hardware and automotive part stores. It’ll get most of the stain off your skin, if not all of it. It’s a hand cleaner specifically made for messy trades, a mechanic friend suggested it to me years ago. I prefer the kind with pumice, the grit exfoliates and helps scrub off hard wearing paints like oil primers and spray paints. It might take a few applications to get stain completely off, but it works incredibly well and is very gentle on the skin
Yay Becky is back in the house. Thai series makes me smile because I grew up in the sixties and seventies. I love your style. I’ve been wanting to try that spray foam perfecf timing
I would never do this at my house but Becky never ceases to amaze me with her style and how beautiful everything always comes out!! You are so talented and so true to yourself and it's such a pleasure to watch, it's definitely an extension of becky and the perfect addition to this beautiful home
doing the carpet last to prevent them from getting messed up from other renos is so smart. the lights were such a great touch, and I love the warmer stain
Love! The color combos, the lights, the series, and the puppy dog! I always watch this series the first time I see a new episode when I'm scrolling. Love it!
70s is my favourite decade too....fashion, hair, afros, disco, funk, soul, rock. I often think I was born in the wrong decade or I had a past life where I lived and loved it up in the '70s
yay to Alexainian carpets for having COLOURS!! made your dream come true and it looks so authenticly 70s!! In the 70s when I was a kid, my parents had rusty orange wall to wall installed through the main floor and stairs!! Giant rolls of carpet on the front lawn and me sneaking scraps to put in my fort😂
The best designs are the ones that make you completely rethink things you thought you hated. Becky, your 70s House is far and away the most creative, visionary, and enjoyable thing on RUclips right now. Sincerely, the Avowed Carpet-Hater Who’s Now Completely Rethinking Her Life.
I think picking a slightly more warm green with yellow tones means the red of the stain really balances each other out. I was surprised, it wasn't as olive as I was picturing, and it mellows out into something closer to like, a vintage sage. I love it! Complementary colors unite!
I don’t love the 70’s style (I was young in the 70’s so I remember it for real!), but I love watching your videos because your work is precise and lovely and you have such an infectious personality, you’re a pleasure to watch! And they do look good! Danny approved!
This was so much fun to watch. Becky your design triggered memories of several family homes I visited when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. The coloring of the wood paneling, the texture of the carpeting (color also). the glimpse of the black wrought iron banister, and the light contrast created with the stair lighting, all reminded me of the homes of two of my sweet aunts. Also, last but not least, the mood created reminded me of a spot at Graceland (yes, That house in Memphis); specifically the passage between the kitchen and the family den just behind the kitchen. Thank you so much for this glimpse of the past. So glad you are living well with Austin and Danny.
As a teenager in the 70’s, you have no idea how “at home” your divine staircase feels to me. Love it. Love it. Love it !!! Actually your entire home rings my bell. 😊 Keep it up girl !
My grandma had that same color of green carpet on her stairs and not gonna lie, I always kinda loved it! Yours looks so perfect with your house's vibe!
Thank you for staying true to not only your style, but the style of your home. Too often people ignore this when renovating and your home is just beautiful and you've restored it to it's former glory ❤
What a fantastic transformation! I love how you stayed true to the 70’s vibe while addressing the practical need for carpet for Danny. The lush carpet and rich stained wood paneling look amazing, and the stair lighting is such a great touch! Can’t wait to see how the rest of the renovation comes together. Thanks for sharing this inspiring makeover!
I literally have never loved something more - such a good color combination!! And the lights are so smart and amazing aesthetically. Girl, you blew this out of the water AND you're looking as stunning as ever while doing it. You and your vision have never been better 💚
UGHHHH yes becky!!! the stairs are gorg. such a small space and it was so anaemic looking before with the grey on grey and now its so warm and inviting. what a nice transition between spaces.
I stumbled on to your channel and yes I lived with this green carpet when I was a kid. My parents were up on all the latest home decor back in the 70’s, 80’s. And even crazier, I’ve been watching a 70’s sitcom that I use to watch when I was a kid called “Bewitched”. Her home is all green carpet & green decor. You have to pull it up on RUclips. Your channel has put a smile on my face. Thanks so much. Wanda 62yrs old, Orange County California. 😊
I am so impressed! I've been watching you guys for many years and you're always so inspiring. My grandmother's basement stairs were wallpapered on the ceiling and shag carpet, so this video made me so happy.
Becky, your Reno series has been such a highlight for me. It is so endearing and motivating to see someone creat a home that so reflects themselves and their partner (and their pooch). I am obsessed ❤
While not my usual choices in colour and such, the whole stairway is absolutely gorgeous! I love how somehow the colour of the panels makes the carpet seem less warm(?).
Happy to see that 70s house series back!
happy to be back!! 💚
Me too! I’ve missed it so much! I checked the channel so many times during the last month in the hope that there would be a new video on Becky’s house❤
I want green carpet now in my hallway. xxxxx love your stairway and your boyfriend is cute. I am 68 btw xxxxx❤
This... and I also just love green carpet coming back 😂
Woohoo
Becky's house reno has been my favorite series on the channel for a while now, it's gonna be a sad day when she finally finishes everything........ I hope she changes her mind on style choices indefinitely and continues to make 70's house videos FOREVER
Me too
Exactly!
I agree entirely!
We haven’t seen her bedroom yet have we? I forgot.
Yes! I find myself only watching these videos!!! So many cool ideas!
I like the way you’ve remodeled your house section by section. Showing young homeowners that they don’t need to go in debt spending thousands of dollars trying to remodel their house all at one time. Starting a project and then finishing it before you move onto the next one. I loved the green.
THIS!
Love the darker hair on you, looks really natural and fitting, perfect match!
I was thinking You look younger, thought you got work done 😂. But it's your hair colour. Wow Perfect like your staircase. ❤❤🎉
Brings out the beauty of her eyes -- Becky has gorgeous eyes.
...totally agree that Becky's eye color 'pops' against the dark hair color
I agree. I kept thinking Becky looks so pretty and glowy in this video. And the stairs are amazing. The lighting feature is so cool too!
Totally! It makes her eyes POP! It's the first time I realized she has the most amazing hazel eyes!
As a dog mom, Danny sleeping on the stairs really melted my heart. I know you just love the stairs 10x more because your pooch does too ❤❤
Aww, I totally agree! Seeing Danny all cozy on the stairs just adds that extra level of love to the space.
I loooooooove these stairs 😭 I’m so glad you went with something more “bold” like this. They’re perfect. Now all I can think about is seeing plants in some funky pots on that ledge, for life of course, but also to cover up some of that beige tile 😅
I feel like the truly retro thing to do would have been to carpet that shelf. LOL
Yes! Beige tile, be gone!!
@ that would actually look so sick! A little bit more color and retro vibe without clutter of more decor or plants!
I’m obsessed with how bold and beautiful the stairs turned out too! The rich colors and textures really pop.
@@everyoneknowsitslindy6074 I bet they could do a funky paint pattern on the tile as well and then seal it!
The wood paneling! The citrus carpet! The lights! The Danny napping spot! All sooooooo GOOD. Love it! What a stairway to heaven. 💚🤎💚🤎
That outlet location is the sign that you are doing the right thing with those lights! Amazing🥰🥰🥰
Right?? How lucky is that
I missed this series! more of that 70s house please 😁😁😁 doesn’t need to be whole makeover/renovation videos - I think we just wanna hang out in your house 🥹
Exactly as Becky and Austin are a Vibe , and often funny with their commentaries added 😮❤❤❤❤
I missed this series too!
True!!! I love every minute in that house
Yes PLEASE!!!!
Never thought a staircase would get me this excited 😂 The lights were genius - good job Becky!! 😍
Becky!!! Truly full sent this space, and it is so freaking good. Took a typically slept on/neglected design area and gave it so much personality. The dopamine I got from watching this transformation is next level. Also, loving this cool/winter toned personal style journey for you
I'm getting old. All these new phrases. Full sent, slept on, next level. 😮
@@djjones7039
Wait a few months, new slang will be in then.
THESE STAIRS ARE PERFECTION (and being Danny approved is the most important!)
I had that same thought!
With her leg stained she probably looks like Danny too 😊❤
The stair's green colour reminds me of Kelsey's favourite colour.

@@BebeDaull Thank you so much for the recommendation. Will definitely check them out!!
loving the gallery wall above the stairs! adds so much color and character 🫶🏻
You nailed the70's "Avocado green" my mom has our original 1970's fridge in her basement (still works) and it is a match for that carpet!
Underestimated how much I would love the final product. ALSO you look absolutely radiant this entire video. The colour of that burgundy/plum hoodie suits you SO well.
By far my favourite series on the channel is Becky’s house! This stair project is the absolute best to date. Well done, Becky!!
I totally agree! Becky’s house is by far my favorite series too
DANNYYYYYYYY 🤩🤩🤩
The carpet is not my style, but it is SO YOU and looks great in the space. The lights are a total chef's kiss.
The stairway looks great and is such a vibe! Love that Danny is now comfortable with it and has a new nap space too. When he’s happy all is right with the world. Well done, Becky (and Austin)! 😊

Love how Danny claimed the stairs as a nap spot! Also, Austin and Becky work so we'll together on home improvements.
Danny sleeping on the new carpet is the biggest compliment and seal of approval omg 🥺💚
I don’t know why. But stairs are some of my favorite renovations to watch. 😊
Having a flashback from the 1970s when I was a young bride! Great color combo with the walls and carpet color.😊
I love how you stay true to yourself and your own vision. It looks amazing!

The carpet looks like moss! And it's so wholesome to see Danny enjoying those stairs so much
That is the teak color of my dreams! It‘s a gorgeous stairwell, and i‘m glad you found the right carpet for it.
It turned out exactly how I envisioned! Love your adventurous style! I know it’s not for everyone but that’s what makes it unique!
I love the sorry girls so much but this has to be my favourite series! Becky’s how and videos are chefs kiss 🙌🏼💅
I love it! Grew up in 60/70's and you nailed it!! The lighting for the steps was amazing!!
the lights on the stairs is GENIUS!!!!!!! They look so clean!!!! YES oh im obsessed!!!!

it's Becky. Not Becca.
It’s been like seven years and my Danny obsession continues unabated.
I love the makeover, the stairs look gorgeous!

Love your house! What’s next? We ll we get to see a 70s kitchen?
I grew up in the 70’s and these stairs look so authentic! Love the lights.

In a strange plot twist, the hospital i work at (built in the 70's) has that exact shade of green carpet on the stairs 😂
