  • The Cotswold Way - a truly beautiful National Trail stretching just over 100 miles. It begins in the charming market town of Chipping Campden, meanders south through the heart of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and finishes in the historic City of Bath.
Join me on this series every Sunday as I set out to walk and film every single step of this stunning trail, sharing the entire journey with you from start to finish.
    Part 10: King’s Stanley to Cam Peak - 7.2 miles (11.6 km)
We begin our journey from King’s Stanley, passing through the village of Middleyard before making our way up into Pen Wood, where the two route options meet again. From here, we walk through the woods along the edge of the escarpment, emerging at Coaley Peak. This is a lovely picnic spot with stunning views, a great place to pause and take in the surroundings.
Continuing on, we pass by a disused quarry, where the rock face reveals fascinating layers of strata. Then, we venture along another woodland path, leading us into a valley with Cam Long Down ahead. The climb up is steep, but the views from the top are nothing short of spectacular, offering 360° vistas of the surrounding landscape.
After taking in the panoramic views, we descend into the valley at Farfield and pass through farmland before finishing this section at Cam Peak, just before reaching the market town of Dursley.
This section has 771 feet (235 metres) of ascent and 951 feet (290 metres) of descent.

    About Dave's Walks
Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!

I use Davinci Resolve Studio 19 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to RUclips. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.
