I believe Oda intentionally made us think that Law may not be able to cancel immortality due to Hancock's words. However, Hancock's ability works differently because the user doesn't die after use the ability, which means they must undo the effect themselves. In contrast, with the immortality operation, the user dies after performing it, making it impossible for the same user to undo it. But this doesn't necessarily mean that the next user won't be able to do so. I think this fundamental difference will make Law a key player in dealing with Imu, reversing immortality, and ending the curse.

Mu is a lost continent in the pacific, it's also a greek letter with a numerical value of 40 (biblically significant, 40 days and 40 nights is how long many trials took etc), it also is derived from the Egyptian hieroglyph for water. My theory IMU, devil fruit or not, is a “deva” from mythology. More specifically, I think he is “Mara”. An old “celestial” entity that’s jealous of true gods. Oda might be playing off the lore of Shin Megami Tensei. There’s lots of parallels there. Additionally look at the forms of Mara in mythology and in Shin Megami… The traditional depiction of Mara has similarities to tot musica. The Shin Megami version is a “worm” like form with tentacles, which will surely make you laugh. In the traditional depiction, Mara has 5 floating skulls around his neck or head area (elders). I get that Dragon has a different look than Luffy and Garp but their surnames are all the same. If Dragon is truly not Garp's son, why is his family name Monkey? Or perhaps Dragon looks different because it fits well with his personality. As far as I can remember, Dragon has always been depicted as serious, edgy and stoic. Meanwhile Garp and Luffy are often carefree and goofy. Grandpa and grandson look more similar because they are closer to each other than Dragon is with anyone.
I watched a more recent video (it's 7th Feb. 2024) and decided to watch *ALL* videos from this channel, and subscribed a few videos ago. I'm curious how many things were obvious from a native-speaker's perspective, and having watched about 30 or so videos already I can see this creator was ahead of the curve and predicted some things before the chapters with those events came out. I truly enjoy your videos, but one thinｇ is bugging me : because you use speech synthesis for the voice-over of the videos, the japanese words in your text are pronounced with a very awful english-speaker accent. For people with basic japanese knowledge, it's a real pain to hear, and it's even hard to understand sometimes. Is there any way to isolate japanese words in your text, so that the speech synthesis is not using english pronounciation on it ?
Could someone have used Yami Yami no mi or Numa Numa no mi ( caribou's swamp swamp fruit ) to swallow the God valley itself which is why it disappeared without a trace. there is tons of theories on sanji and nami ending up and the prince princess couple would fit for sanji. sanji literrally calls her a godess. so nami being a royal family would make sense especially because arlong park forshadowes the ancient kingdom or atleast when joyboy died. namis bounty was 16 wich means imu. and she even has rings in her eyes sometimes wich in my opinion represents the voice of all things. wich is also why mihawk is such a talented swordsman he can hear his sword.

This made me think all the way back to Gear 2 when Lucci told Luffy that kind of technique would cut his life short due to the strain on his heart. Later we see in Gear 5 Luffy is using this technique to manipulate his heart. And the drums of liberation directly related to his heart beat. Everyone thought Gear 5 was a wild card but now I see how Oda was setting the entire thing up.
I actually think that Imu is a woman, and already introduced as a character in previous chapters, hence she was still a silhoutte. Lol. She's basically free to do whatever she wants, hence the empty throne because she could be in other places or her other personality manifests (? IDk, just a thought that you can do all the shit you want if you're in the top). I always thinks that Imu has certain hatred towards woman (Shirahoshi, Rebecca, and Vivi) which kinda puts me off whenever I see that in the manga panel. I also think that she's connected with Joyboy in some point in the past - like a lover. Additionally, I have a lot of spiritual studies which somehow ties with One Piece symbolisms (which is wild since I'm into spirituality and shit), for example Moon symbolism is related to the feminine aspect of the universe, yin symbol, emotions, dreams, unconscious, and water, since it affects the tides (I guess this is why there is 4 seas and calm belt and grandline. Like the seas, the moon is also moody --- so as women.). In Hindu Moon is also related to Maya, which means illusions, while in Hebrew, it means Water. (Imu in Japanese means dream based on my research so it kinda sticks with idea.) Hence, the whole one piece era is in the era of night/darkness/moon as luffy's gang will be the 'Dawn' of new era Additionally, in spiritual community, Mother Earth (Gaia) is this caring mom that doesn't want his children go on their own adventure and wants to envelop them in illusion because they love them so much. . Imu being symbolism to Mother Earth kinda makes sense to me, as she lives in the highest part of the world, and wants to keep everything under her control. Father figure is represented as Path of light, which a person seeks for his own sense of destiny and stuff. I believe Oda intentionally made us think that Law may not be able to cancel immortality due to Hancock's words. However, Hancock's ability works differently because the user doesn't die after use the ability, which means they must undo the effect themselves. In contrast, with the immortality operation, the user dies after performing it, making it impossible for the same user to undo it. But this doesn't necessarily mean that the next user won't be able to do so. I think this fundamental difference will make Law a key player in dealing with Imu, reversing immortality, and ending the curse.

Mu is a lost continent in the pacific, it's also a greek letter with a numerical value of 40 (biblically significant, 40 days and 40 nights is how long many trials took etc), it also is derived from the Egyptian hieroglyph for water. It is also used in VERY interesting ways in math, physics, and engineering. Check out the Mu wiki. If the name is written in a way to denote a foreign word in Japanese, it might give us some juicy hints at Mu's powers.

I think that Imu actually COULD be nothing/a void. Maybe they ate the void void or nothing nothing fruit...which I suspect is the fruit that turned the void century into a void. Imu's shadow-like appearance could also be a hint at this as it'd mean they're a void/nothing person.

My theory
IMU, devil fruit or not, is a “deva” from mythology. More specifically, I think he is “Mara”. An old “celestial” entity that’s jealous of true gods. Oda might be playing off the lore of Shin Megami Tensei. There’s lots of parallels there. Additionally look at the forms of Mara in mythology and in Shin Megami… The traditional depiction of Mara has similarities to tot musica. The Shin Megami version is a “worm” like form with tentacles, which will surely make you laugh. In the traditional depiction, Mara has 5 floating skulls around his neck or head area (elders). I get that Dragon has a different look than Luffy and Garp but their surnames are all the same. If Dragon is truly not Garp's son, why is his family name Monkey? Or perhaps Dragon looks different because it fits well with his personality. As far as I can remember, Dragon has always been depicted as serious, edgy and stoic. Meanwhile Garp and Luffy are often carefree and goofy. Grandpa and grandson look more similar because they are closer to each other than Dragon is with anyone.

Could someone have used Yami Yami no mi or Numa Numa no mi ( caribou's swamp swamp fruit ) to swallow the God valley itself which is why it disappeared without a trace. Blackbeard used his technique "Blackhole" to swallow the town and Caribou has "bottomless swamp" which has infinite amount of space, so both of these fruit are capable disappearing an island.

I actually think that Imu is a woman, and already introduced as a character in previous chapters, hence she was still a silhoutte. Lol. She's basically free to do whatever she wants, hence the empty throne because she could be in other places or her other personality manifests (? IDk, just a thought that you can do all the shit you want if you're in the top). I always thinks that Imu has certain hatred towards woman (Shirahoshi, Rebecca, and Vivi) which kinda puts me off whenever I see that in the manga panel. I also think that she's connected with Joyboy in some point in the past - like a lover.
Additionally, I have a lot of spiritual studies which somehow ties with One Piece symbolisms (which is wild since I'm into spirituality and shit), for example Moon symbolism is related to the feminine aspect of the universe, yin symbol, emotions, dreams, unconscious, and water, since it affects the tides (I guess this is why there is 4 seas and calm belt and grandline. Like the seas, the moon is also moody --- so as women.). In Hindu Moon is also related to Maya, which means illusions, while in Hebrew, it means Water. (Imu in Japanese means dream based on my research so it kinda sticks with idea.) Hence, the whole one piece era is in the era of night/darkness/moon as luffy's gang will be the 'Dawn' of new era
Additionally, in spiritual community, Mother Earth (Gaia) is this caring mom that doesn't want his children go on their own adventure and wants to envelop them in illusion because they love them so much. . Imu being symbolism to Mother Earth kinda makes sense to me, as she lives in the highest part of the world, and wants to keep everything under her control. Father figure is represented as Path of light, which a person seeks for his own sense of destiny and stuff.
