Thanks, Russell, for sharing this great tool -- will tell my students first thing tomorrow morning. I especially like the quizlet extension! That's really useful for me and my students. Thank you!!
Thank you very much! I particularly found the information about the features in Google Translate and Quizlet .... and your interactivity between the two to be useful.... (I would have liked it if you had added a third website....! Remember the rule of thirds!!! Lol). Best wishes.... you do a great service!
Really glad that my videos are helpful. I have some new stuff coming out very soon. It might be worth signing up to the newsletter on my website www.teachertrainingvideos.com/sign-up.
Very interesting site, and again, thank you; but I found the sample sentences very random and not necessarily what my students want/need to learn. Have you discovered sentences like: How was your holiday - great but the weather was awful / where is the post office, - there's one on X Street, go straight on and turn left at the traffic lights.../ you know the sort of everyday things beginners need. Refuting information is a bit high for the students I have. The sentences are also apparently not theme-based so the examples I looked at ran from a car hitting a lamp post to 'I would like to do something meaningful'.
Really valid point Alison. But keep in mind that the idea around Google Translate can be applied to any language. I just like Speechling as I love copying accents.
How do you set up Speechling to study on your own, as you were doing in this demo, Russell? My students probably won't want coaches and will want to study and speak free. Where can learners find the settings to simply study on their own?
Neal, they just sign up to the free account. I didn't do anything else. It was not complicated. Sorry I did reply to you a few days ago but it didn't seem to come out. If you need any help, contact me via my website and I will try and organise a SKYPE with you.
Thanks Russell. Can you export vocabulary from the google translate iPhone app to the quizlet app? I haven’t managed to find a way yet. If you know how please let us know.

I haven’t managed to find a way yet. If you know how please let us know.
Could you, please, give all the links by categories in the comments?
Yes but you must be logged into Google First, so that all the phrases you save are stored in the list.
