To many comments to read to see if anyone has mentioned but that piece that you broke off can be taken off. You take off the one screw holding the door handle and the pop out the black piece. Once that’s done on the bottom of that clip looks like a “W” you pull up on the middle piece of the “W” and pull out the clip and your done!!!! Thanks for all your GS videos!!!

Lol back when I was young af and I had my first car way before all this ambient light stuff was out I did it the cheap way and replaced all the interior bulbs with blue ones from auto zone and drove with them all on , it was ghetto AF but we sure did Hot box that MF . This comment totally reminds me of that 😝!

I don’t have Instagram to see that other guys page but Ive always wanted to do this to my RCF except with color changing lights not just one color. I always comment that Lexus should be doing this from the factory like Audi and Mercedes where you can change the colors and even have two different colors at the same time . Imagine how much better the interiors would be . Shit even Kia has ambient lighting now a days . Looks great though ...
Yea they are slacking with the interior lighting. They have lights that are color changing man so u can do it
@@BulletsGarage definitely, I was thinking if those aren’t too distracting you could somehow attach another longer strip of lights to one of the doors power source then run it through the rubber part of the door to the dash and have a longer one all the way across the dash between the crease above the carbon fiber glove box section and ac vents .

My 2015 F150 has color changing ambient lighting, it actually has more features than my F. Lexus needs to step it up

I've had my F for almost a year and just realized that there's a light bar under the carbon trim after watching this video. Its so dim I didn't know it had them

did u buy the same led light as me??? if so you might have put it in upside down. one side has less of the white covering the light output, i noticed that also and had to flip the led around and they match now

Just did this and also have the same observation of the front being about half as bright I did the dash led like your other video and comparing that led strip to the front door, the door is a lot dimmer than the dash Are you saying that the led strip itself may need to be rotated around 180 degrees?

Same applies It just depends how your dash is laid out to where you could fit it properly
I was a little confused when you were talking about the auto dim. Did you say the GsF had auto dim or not? If not, did you add in the auto dim? And you said the guys who installed it, didn’t you install the lights yourself?
Question, do your lights completely turn off when you put the car in gear? Just did an LED swap like this in my 21’ ES & the LED’s lose total power when shifted out of park. Perhaps there’s a fuse I can pull or something so they stay on while driving? Any help would be appreciated!
No on the GS when you go out of park they just dim down they do not turn off. Maybe the LEDs you have are not dimmable and when they don’t have full power they just shut off.

Did you flip the front led strips the opposite way of the rear ones? I put the front with the stripe facing down but it seems about half as bright as the rear
No all facing same way. Rear just looks brighter cuz it bounces light off the seat

You would have to tap into power from the window switch instead so it won't dim

@@BulletsGarage I own a Toyota Avalon 2014 Limited that has ambient lights on the doors, a cup holder and a front dashboard, and I can control its power and switch it off without opening and closing the doors, but I expect the policies of Toyota and Lexus are similar because it is similar to your presence in a car of one color white and a long crystal line

Did you buy 4 Neon Led strips or separate and wire the one long strip into 4 pieces?
One strip it's 16 feet long you cut on the lines on the strip and solder in wire and then to the connector

so I have installed these but they are not as bright when you plug in the cars wiring. The car is only giving 5 volts. I wish it could get to 12 v so then it gets brighter.
