The simplest nest structures are to hide eggs from predators, protect them from the sun or other environmental factors, or simply prevent them from dispersal.In general, birds are the most skilled nest builders, although not all bird species are nest builders.
Some eagles choose to nest on the edge of cliffs. The nests are 6 to 15 meters high. They sleep on their eggs for about 8 weeks. Most eagles lay only two eggs, only one of which survives.
