Me too. How many times have I imagined the people that despised, bulled, judged me in my skin and tell myself "if they were me tomorrow, they wouldn't even last a week without wanting to die."
The song is an abusive person obviously. So yeah, the line fits if you consider the song. And having been in that situation, I'd say this is a perfect song.

If I understand correctly, Nico is talking to a bully or an abuser: He feels sorry that this person is such a loser that they have to harm others to fulfil themselves. He says he'll spare a thought for them even though suicide is better than to make others suffer for their own insignificance. I suppose the last part is somewhat tongue in cheek, with multiple meanings. And he also makes clear his suffering at their hands, which might influence their feelings.
It might not be 100% like this after all, things are all too often more complex than meets the eye but I can see that being somewhere within the ballpark.
Personally, I can't remember so much how I felt back then but given the impact of the pain inflicted on me, in the past. This song has more relevance to how I feel towards those who abused and bullied me, than I am comfortable admitting.

I guess it's obvious. Sounds like a letter to a bully. You can't get help, because they'll just hit you harder next time. When you cry, it only motivates them. So you go numb until it becomes safe to feel again.
Eventually, you learn that bullying was probably their coping mechanism, and you actually pity them. It's still not an excuse, but you can't be bothered to hate them for reacting that way so you wish then the best and move on.
Empathising with people can be a curse. It's worse because victims of bullying often end up forgiving them because they (the bully) was going through some stuff. They can put themselves in the other person's shoes and see how hard life must have been. At this point, the victim has probably considered suicide themselves.
They may be projecting a bit, or maybe that's as condescending as they can get, because it's hard to completely forgive someone who's made your life difficult for so long.
On the other hand, that may be the victim's sarcastic inner monologue that stems from pent-up resentment. This entire song could be a victim kicking their bully when they're down cz retaliation is fun (until you realise that you've stopped down to the other person's level.) I just watched a Nuclear Revenge video recently, so I say go for it...
It would be pretty cool if they were praying for their bully like that song (Pray for you by Jaron and the king road to love). I pray for a lot of people myself so I'm definitely projecting.

This is so me when I was in middle school. When I was in middle school, I was bullied so much it hurt, I wanted to die. Every single day I would cry into my pillow because of all the things my bullies said. I would pick my skin and make my self bleed. Sometimes it got to much and I would have mental brake down. I prayed that things would get better for them, but for me it only got worse and worse as I went through middle school. The bullies made me scared of making friends and any new friends I made I would keep on a edge of friends and strangers. I hated it. I hated it so much I wanted to just cry forever. A few songs from others people and you Nico helped go on along with my friends and family. This makes me happy to know that someone is showing people that there is a reason behind the violence. I've never been bullied, but this song speaks to me. Whenever my stepdad is upset or in a remotely bad mood (which is often) he takes it out on us. Not physically, but verbally. He has called me things as simple but hurtful as "stupid" and an "idiot" or as deep as "you're just like your father"
Now, I take pride in my school smarts, so those statements hurt a lot. And as far as the dad one, my dad used to be a really bad influence in my mom, so they split up. Dad's changed a LOT, but the statement was meant to be hurtful.
Everyday I do something wrong in my stepdads eyes. And he always has smth to say. I always say "sorry I'll do better" but at this point sorry doesn't even mean anything.

Usually the abused becomes the abuser, it still doesn’t make it right or justified what they do and sometimes they did make their own choices to get there and sometimes they’re just psychopaths with no conscience but often they are tortured souls lost in pain and that pain overflows to others.
I felt this song to the heart. I went through abuse, emotional and physical. This it hits homes for me. And I don't blame him he made me stronger. I love this song so much, your voice is amazing.
