  • A quick video showing my clutch stopper, plus installation instructions. Note this only fits RHD cars - LHD model currently in development and due to be released sometime in August 2024.
    Feedback from one customer: Their 3/8" 'normal' socket was a little short and bottomed out on the stud, making it difficult to remove the nut. If you have a deep socket available, this is preferable. Alternatively, put the socket onto the nut first, and then your extension bar into the socket - this will allow full contact between nut and socket.
    Purchase available through Car Cottage on eBay: www.ebay.co.uk...
    Any questions, let me know. Thanks!

    Fantastic, I agree the main improvement of this is that it improves the seating position massively. I stretch out my left leg massively because of all that dead zone. Just ordered to fix this.

    Hi there, first of all let me say that it's amazing to see someone passionate AND knowledgeable AND thorough create these well thought-out solutions for improving livability and enjoyment of the MX-5. These aren't going to change your world but will make your interactions with the car that little bit sweeter. Not many people appreciate that sort of thing (I do obviously) so I really want to thank you for taking the time to do all this. I really wish for more people to see your genius.
    Second of all, as I am eager to buy your product here in USA, are there any updates on the LHD version? Eagerly awaiting this! Thanks again!

      Hello! Thanks so much for your kind message. I really appreciate that you appreciate the time / effort / thought that has gone in :-) As you rightly said, these small parts aren't exactly life-changing but do help the driver to 'gel' with the car a little better, improving the experience.
      The one that went to Portugal seems to have got stuck in customs... ack... and the chap in the USA went on vacation and hasn't got back to me since. If you would be interested in helping test one of them, please get in touch directly and we can hopefulyl work something out. Thank you!

    Hi. Will this fit on a LHD car?

      After some research it appears not, unfortunately, but I have a guy in the USA (thanks Gavyn @RedHenRacing!) who is helping out with some dimensions so I can do a LHD version.

      @senfing certainly is!
      Got prototype LHD clutch stoppers today, one to go to Gavyn and another for a guy in Portugal (sent out to him today). Hoping they work so the design can be finalised and production started fairly soon!
