- 🐘 Wild Elephant Survey 2024, organized by the Department of Wildlife Conservation aimed to estimate the number of wild elephants and tuskers in Sri Lanka and understand their distribution across the island. The survey occurred during the dry season, spanning 48 hours (2 days) around the full moon Poya day. The method is called A water hole count, We observed and counted elephants visiting a water hole at Borawala in Block 2 of Yala National Park.

💓 About my channel
This channel delivers fresh and uncommon sightings of wildlife, places within national parks, circuit bungalows, camping sites, nature tours, travel destinations, and hotels in Sri Lanka.
We will shoot videos from the natural habitats within the different climatic regions from sea level to highlands and capture the beauty of wildlife in this unique, tropical island, Sri Lanka.
