    Great advice! One hack I use in my open concept is to turn on only half the warmers to start. Then, an hour or two later, turn on the remaining warmers. I find this extends the number of hours I get from a scent.

      How many cubes do you put in each one? Do you end up using an entire clam?

    • @KarenDStarke
      @KarenDStarke 2 месяца назад +2

      @@TerriG_104 Every space is different. As background, my open area has a vaulted ceiling which reaches two stories high. It's a challenge. If a scent is strong, six cubes divided among my warmers will scent the area. For medium to medium strong scents I divide a whole clam among my warmers. Any scent lighter than medium strength just won't work in my open space.

    What a fantastic video! Thank you for all the tips. I have a substantial quarterly club and I'm trying to pare it down to be closer to what I'm actually using. I'm a spreadsheet nerd and have my entire collection logged and that includes a sheet for what I'm using. I refigure my averages monthly lol 🙃 Great tip about keeping the shopping list. I'm bad about that, especially with light bulbs. I'm a sale shopper so I always shop the clearance section first. I'll even sometimes chance a more expensive warmer and wait for it to show up in clearance. I recently picked up the Frosted Night mini from clearance and then the full size showed up in a flash sale. I try to be as frugal as possible with my addiction lol! Thanks again!

    Good tips I wish I had when I started buying wax! Your 2nd tip that wax buying should equal wax melting is something I learned to do over the years with candles and wax melts too. It is very easy to have an overwhelmingly large wax collection before you know it. The only way to really avoid this is to not buy more than you can melt to stay at an even amount and to shrink your stash buy less than you melt per month.
    Also, I know that fall and winter for me is my favorite for home fragrance and I know I will buy the most bars, wax melts, and candles then. So from early December through February I will buy practically nothing (except some BBMB’s in January) to use up what I bought and balance it out…a very low buy for a couple months.🍁

    What a great video! I agree with your tips! A tip for storage is I use empty whiff boxes and separate by season I melt them in. I have a box for all season favorites ans also a box for my bathroom and bedroom scents that are not seasonal. The boxes are "free" and give me a confined space that I attempt to not have more than. I use rubbing alcohol to clean my warmers, but I might need to give hand sanitizer a try on a few of my warmers. A few times the rubbing alcohol dripped and took a little of the finish off the warmer.😢 I also need to equalize my purchases to my melting! It's a hard life of a Scentsy fan! Smiles, Abby Smith

    Couldn't agree more about melt it when you love it because yes our noses and preferences can change. Also yes don't buy a thousand bars of something you have never smelled - guess how many bars I bought of perfect pumpkin pear in a flash sale several years ago? Guess how many I still have left? lol
    I think I've only had a couple scentsy bars go off on me. Sunburst Bamboo and Summer Rain.
    I keep my inventory spreadsheet as up to date as I can with dates on there too from when I purchased them. I also use masking tape and sharpie to write down month/year on there too.
    The thing I love about scentsy wax is how easy it easy to change out scentsy wax. I also do a similar wax change like you - maybe turn on the warmer for about 1-2 minutes and the wax just pops right out. Vendor wax or other mass branded wax is not the easiest to remove unless its hot pour. But Scentsy's wax formula is perfect for easy clean up imo.

    I use timer plugs in my more hard to reach warmers this helps me prevent spills from having to turn them on and off. It also helps with getting the best scent and longevity from my wax. Yes!! I had a club process at the end of July and threw a bunch of BBMB in there instead of placing a separate order. So the end of the promotion month. Why did I get a flat bottom BBMB bar?!?!? That frustrates me so much!

    Yeah Ive seen all the teddy bees hauls and I’m like ladies…..that’s ridiculous. Like I get liking wax, but that’s more than you could use in a year! Go on vacation with that money.🙄

      Teddy Bees business model has got it going on with respect to the amount people order. Whatever she’s doing all the other vendors must be thinking “I’ve got to get a piece of THAT!”

    Is maraschino sugar cookie an LTO? Is it ever coming back?😊

    • @PatriciaG-NosetoToes
      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes  2 месяца назад +2

      It was a LTO. (It was never in a catalog)
      I suspect it may return eventyally but it all depends if they put it up for BBMB voting, which is not likely according to their past pattern.
      We might see it in a Scents of the Season collection in a couple years…that’s the spot they tend to recycle past holiday inspired fragrances

      @PatriciaG-NosetoToes Given how much wax I already have, it's difficult to commit to a club. I guess I'll have to wait for it to return. 😊 thanks

      If it returns then you might have to decide on a club or just stock up. It might be a while; you just never know with Scentsy. The only bonus of waiting for it to return is you have extra time to deplete your wax stash

    I have most of my warmers on smart plugs I can turn on and off with my phone. To change my wax I turn on a warmer for approximately 8 minutes and then pop out wax with my finger or the corner of a clam shell. I clean my dishes by turning on for a couple minutes to slightly warm up then use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel or cotton ball. Another tip I picked up from you is to warm not so appealing scents in the garage. Thanks for this very informative video!

    I use hand sanitizer to clean the “gunk” out after I saw the tip in one of your videos. I try to be very careful about the number of bars I purchase. I enjoy the flash sales, so I have ended up with more than usual with the bundles. I have two small bins that I keep in a cabinet with my bars. I have extras now, but I don’t like to have much more than what fits in the bins.I also warm the scents I don’t care for in my garage…I have had three “throw aways”, but garage works pretty well, and I don’t have to do it often. Thanks for the tips!
