How can one climb carrying tripod in one hand and camera in the other? Most impressive. Obviously, a great deal of hand carving went into these steps, so it is a shame that the Brits did so much damage with explosives. As they did all over India, I suppose.

I did this trek, this sunday (16/12/18). Have done 20+ treks, but this one, my god. Your every frame was making me relive the trek again. Thrilling it was, but also there many things to learn,. Just wanted to see how you crossed the 'overhang part' without ropes. As we used ropes at that point only.
I was not really scared from the level of difficulty (lm get used to climb) rather than how you managed the camera work as one person; very impressive !and lm sure exhausting (placing the cam, climb up to record than down to take the cam again). And always under full attention 👍🏼🙏
Total respect Gautam. I do non-technical hikes in Sahyadri. Your film is full adrenaline pumping. I liked your statement that it is a lifetime privilege to climb Bhairavgad. All the best, trek safe always.
Much appreciated efforts put into making this video woth all the information. Plus recording it all alone while climbing as well as descending is commendable in such a risky path. Thank you for sharing your experience Gautam
You are a legend Gautam. Been watching all your maharastra videos. Great work. You put a great effort on all your videos, like here shooting few shots twice or thrice. Your videos are like no non sense stuff. No chattering and stuff, only content. Btw, it'll be great if you share photos on Instagram or something.

Gautam, i know probably whenever I leave for treking i first watch your video to seek guidance. Your video is packed with information's. Hatts off for that camera work going off and coming back for camera, this might be good for you to get practice while going down. I know while traveling upward you get a terrible sence of fear that you have. to go down again.
Yesterday I have been to Bhairavgad. Now I realised how difficult the rock patch are in real. I wonder how u climbed the overhang rock patch in the middle of East face steps. You are really great.
Nice & exiting videoshoot of bhairavgad.I with two other colleague visited bhairavgad yesterday.path towards bhairavgad is easy & straigh well marked.but we lost on reaching platue & misreading road started ascenind through scree on west side.It really difficult & dangerous from westside. Finally we got main path & r proceeded on east side.In between we noticed lost path coming from right side.We descended this path. few steps are very narrow.at overhang climbing Due to bolt support i didnt find hard to ascend except you have to push your body on upwards side. But for me while decending overhang climb it is also easy to come down & stand with bolt support but it is diificult ito access two narrow step because wall in not straight & pushes body backwards So balancing body & keeping foot on narrow step & then getting down is challenging task.It is tricky to get down than ascending overhang.Otherwise exciting trek. There is a water cistern before Bifurication of right side & westside path just below starting of bhairavgad on upperside which is full of water.Water is potable & cold.We drank that water.this water cistern Doent get noticed easily as it is inside rock on upperside just little hight On path.overall It was exciting trek.
thank you very much, yes the overhang is short and you have to push yourself, balance is important, great you did it, yes west side is scree as i showed in video one can slide too :), one can climb the west face pinnacle and descent from east only if one is good at climbing like alex or chris, the east side steps are easy and exciting both :)
Gautam Bhairavgad is most difficult climbing destination isn't it if climbed with out rope in sahyadri.? Lingana is tougher one but very few people try with out ropes. Alangs 50ft wall is toughest if tried solo. What is your opinion?
bhairavgad is easiest of all, where as lingana is moderate to tough, alang is tough where as tailbaila is also tough. however bhairavgad and lingana can be done without ropes however for general public ropes are required for all climb, bhairavgad is the easiest of all and does not require ropes only if you arent afraid of height :)
This is best trekking and need courage and endurance and u are doing with such a ease, hope u don't miss the shooting of that dangerous patch climbing next time, that is where the Crux of trekking..best of luck for future trekking..God bless my friend..
Great Work Gautam! request you to add a caution line ( though you have added, I think it should be clearly mentioned as a caution at the beginning itself and declaring you as an expert has undertaken the task ) in the video of not attempting the summit without rope and proper safety gear. Not all and especially the over-enthusiastic novice can think in the way we think and evaluate the risks. Thank you Bro for this amazing video
Loved watching ur trekking experiences live😇... Whn ever u step on a rock which is smaller and steeper my legs get a shiver.. U hav the grt interest and passion to do so...nly ppl who hav courage and love on their work can do it so... Wonderfull work and grt... Big salute 👏 thank u for uploading it and make us watch these beauty of nature☺☺
Another masterpiece!! I love watching your videos - takes me to all the places which I wish I had climbed but did not have the skill and courage to do so. Take care though - some parts look very dangerous.
Doing this in summer heat! That too all alone! and shooting, moving up and down continuously... You sure you're a normal human being belonging to this planet?
awesome video bro.. we all appreciate ur hardwork but still safety is always imp.that over hang part is so riakey n still u climbed that without rope.. next time be with some safety kit on such treks.. al the best
Gautam Khetwal dear Gautam, hats off on your amazing trekking. although risky in many section in this, you went ahead like a professional. as you rightly said, safety is no. 1 priority for everyone, request you to pls have at least harness or fall arrester. otherwise, I and my both son's enjoy watching your wonderful treks. bye, take care. Actually you are trekking twice in a single trek!!!.....Hats off...what's that driving you so much!!...and also being solo how you know the correct trek route?..don't u get scared to lost ya stranded smwhere!!?!

Keep up the excellent work. Very well detailed as always. I am a casual trekkker and have done Harihar fort, Kalsubai and Peb fort. Can I do this one just till the overhang patch but without ropes? I won't go past the overhang patch but return back. I wanted to experience those stairs...
thank you very much, i appreciate it. you can go beyond too but if you are well accustomed of heights than only. if body height is less than 5.5 one might have trouble in overhang footing.
Hi goutam..i can not understand how have u crossed that overhang?it is not clear in this video.have u used rope?this ic bcoz there is little support for legs and little grip except support of stony wall ridge for left hand
nope, no ropes required, you have to grab the steps above and pull yourself up just like a pullup bar. only one leg stays outside. was solo so could not film that. it is quite easy for people above 5.7. people with height lower than that might face problem pulling up :)

@@GautamKhetwal 😯..chan..ichashakti..bhari..
Thank you so much, i appreciate, i write blogs and share images in them 😀
@@GautamKhetwal yeah just saw, but link in this video's description doesn't work. I remember all blogspot.in domains are blogspot.com. May be you gotta change it.
I'm nobody to give a advice, take it or leave it, but you definitely reach more audience if you post photos on Instagram as well and give the handle in descriptions. Also, add your blog think in channel's about. Thanks for the reply Gautam.

thank you very much Kiran, i appreciate that :)
Dear Gautam, u r very brave, solo climber, but u skipped how to climb overhang patch.
solo climb, no place to keep camera on overhang :)
Gautam, i know probably whenever I leave for treking i first watch your video to seek guidance. Your video is packed with information's. Hatts off for that camera work going off and coming back for camera, this might be good for you to get practice while going down. I know while traveling upward you get a terrible sence of fear that you have. to go down again.
thank you very much, i appreciate. respect nature, nature is your guardian :):):)
@@GautamKhetwal my bad I mean to say guidance* not guardian 😜😅😁
Bohat hard track bro suprb....
thank you very much :)
This is the best, among all your videos that I have watched.
yeah this was adventurous :)
Yesterday I have been to Bhairavgad. Now I realised how difficult the rock patch are in real. I wonder how u climbed the overhang rock patch in the middle of East face steps. You are really great.
admire your courage bro..... keep trekking... love your videos...may you conquer all the trekking spots in Maharashtra and keep exploring !!
thank you very much, i appreciate :)
Gautam... you are one man army... Amazing bro
thank you very much :)
Welcome bhai ❤️
Thank you for sharing your experience. You walk alone in India. Any tigers along your way to worry about? Curious
thank you very much, leopards but not to be seen :)
Long Live The great Gautam
thank you ;)
You are Gem💎, huge respect 🙏
thank you very much :)
Hatts off bro for your trekking dedication...be always carefull.
thank you, sure :)
Gautam
Bhairavgad is most difficult climbing destination isn't it if climbed with out rope in sahyadri.?
Lingana is tougher one but very few people try with out ropes.
Alangs 50ft wall is toughest if tried solo.
What is your opinion?
bhairavgad is easiest of all, where as lingana is moderate to tough, alang is tough where as tailbaila is also tough. however bhairavgad and lingana can be done without ropes however for general public ropes are required for all climb, bhairavgad is the easiest of all and does not require ropes only if you arent afraid of height :)
Great Adventure Video,👍👍👍
Akele Jata h... ya Dosto k sath

thank you very much, i appreciate :)
Thank you Bro for this amazing video
thank you very much, i appreciate your views, sure will mention in future videos :)
Thank you very much, i appreciate that :)
Please also make video On Mahabaleshwar Ghats

Omg how do you manage it!!! And how did u descend!!! Respect _/\_
this was a challenge since it was a solo trek along with filming and getting lost for 2 hrs was the top up :)
full on adventure.. awesome video bro..
Thanks for watching bro :)
Another masterpiece!! I love watching your videos - takes me to all the places which I wish I had climbed but did not have the skill and courage to do so. Take care though - some parts look very dangerous.
thank you, it is a wonderful place

Doing this in summer heat! That too all alone! and shooting, moving up and down continuously... You sure you're a normal human being belonging to this planet?
yes sunburn everywhere :)
awesome video bro.. we all appreciate ur hardwork but still safety is always imp.that over hang part is so riakey n still u climbed that without rope.. next time be with some safety kit on such treks.. al the best
thanks for watching, sure safety is no 1 priority :)
I want to climb with you in your next trek
awesome video but so difficult :) great man i love alllllllll video ur trekking be careful
thank you very much :)
this is great and informative, opened my eyes to many things in the video.......
however saw really risky stuff in there.. take care man!
hey thanks, yes this was a difficult trek but adventurous too
Gautam Khetwal
dear Gautam, hats off on your amazing trekking. although risky in many section in this, you went ahead like a professional. as you rightly said, safety is no. 1 priority for everyone, request you to pls have at least harness or fall arrester.
otherwise, I and my both son's enjoy watching your wonderful treks. bye, take care. Umesh
Actually you are trekking twice in a single trek!!!.....Hats off...what's that driving you so much!!...and also being solo how you know the correct trek route?..don't u get scared to lost ya stranded smwhere!!?!
yes, always a double trek, i get lost in every trek, spends some hours finding the right route, thats fun in its own :)
@@GautamKhetwal many ppl do trek some solo some in group; some make videos many not;..but your video quality and editing is Da BEST...you are really class apart....thank you once again for making the lost hidden history alive to us...!!!
thanks, these are two hobbys that got mixed, climbing and photography :)
@@GautamKhetwal thanks man 🤘
Hi goutam..i can not understand how have u crossed that overhang?it is not clear in this video.have u used rope?this ic bcoz there is little support for legs and little grip except support of stony wall ridge for left hand
nope, no ropes required, you have to grab the steps above and pull yourself up just like a pullup bar. only one leg stays outside. was solo so could not film that. it is quite easy for people above 5.7. people with height lower than that might face problem pulling up :)
@@GautamKhetwal thanks a lot bro
