They are used to clean the seal after pushing the load off the truck. A broken hockey stick works perfect.

Good to throw some cardboard in there every now and then to sop up all the organics juice. Helps to keep it from being a River by the end of the day

I used to dump those green bins and do yard waste every day. There was one house who's green bin always made me gag. I've dealt with a lot of smelly bins.. But that one house was so gross. I used to throw the bin every time just to get rid of it faster. lol
