+rockimaru that battle took me a while to figure out, i was at a friends house around the 5 time trying, my friend turned on the Cantina music from starwars on, the tone of the music and the tone of the scene was quite comedic
Eggly Bagelface Dude I love The End battle but after 30 minutes without seeing him I get super pissed. That's just me but I'd snap a controller in half if it could be a week long battle.
I tried making a top 5 list but it is so damn hard, I love so many characters in this franchise; but for #1 it's gotta be Big Boss, his epic heroism was on a different level and he truly is a legend on the battlefield.
"When I design game characters I design them for the game; what their moves will be, how the character will attack them" "I design them very differently from how you would design characters for a movie" If only some western AAA devs would learn this...
+Maximiliano Alignani he always gets the shit end of the stick for some reason, but I like him too, I was hoping to maybe get a glimpse of him in MGSV. he has a background working with child soldiers in the 80s in Africa so I was hoping that maybe we could get more lore about him.
My favorite character is Adamska. I'm really into gunslinger tricks for one thing and after playing Snake Eater, he really grew on me. I loved how honorable he was in battle and how he grew to admire John. That being said, I can't wait to see how he finally joins Big Boss and I know TPP is going to be a real treat. :)
GeminiGabRiElleSG i don't remember the story in mgs 3 too much and his involvement in it, but in part 4, he was again very manipulative. i mean if you think about it the 5 biggest PMCs were all his, and all were stronger than any single goverment military, and the FROGS unit was the best of the best, i mean how he manipulated the soldier sin Act 1, but especially in ACT3 where he reveals what "Guns of the Patriots" really is, i think just put him at the top of the "Evil crazy bad guys " list , plus since he could beat snake in a 1v1 at the time, that showed that he really did have it in him to be the top dog. ithink so anyways, i mean gray fox and vamp and all the other freaks were powerful and all but having real power over others like he did, thats no sci-fi, thats real,
gninja92 I'm saying, from story perspective, MGS3 was the first time we see him. So, it is the first time we see how manipulative he is when it is revealed at the very end of the game. Even if a lot of people played it in release-date sequence, considering that he is also 18 or 19 also says a lot about him at the time.
This man is a freaking genius! :D My own list: 5) Liquid Snake 4) Otacon 3) The Boss 2) Raiden 1) Solid & Naked Snake (I can't really put one higher than the other, both Snakes are awesome)
Lol, I know you're joking about Mei Ling. Miller's a really good choice though. He's also one of my favorite characters. I like Ocelot because he's slick and has that cool cowboy swag. He's ALWAYS the guy that secretly knows everything and he's the ONLY character who's in EVERY single game. (if you don't count Peace Walker)
+Orion3k Actually it was supposed to happen. Instead of the worst MGS game story-wise (AKA MGSV) they wanted to make a game about the Boss and her Cobra Unit during WWII but thought that it was too much of a new beginning since Kojima would be living Konami, something along those lines...
I loved Kojima's answer about the two Snakes = Naked Snake/Punished Snake (Big Boss) and Solid Snake. But personally, number 1 MGS character for is of course Big Boss the greatest solider who ever lived. His story is more compelling, tragic and relative than his son/clone Solid Snake. The wars and conflicts just strikes our hearts. We all relate to Big Boss more than Solid Snake. Number 2 is yes none other than Solid Snake, the legendary soldier, he is the damaged dark hero similar to Batman. His story as a clone is emotional because he becoming more broken as he ages and the most interesting thing tht he accepts it.Number 3 is the Boss, the hero of WW2, and mentor of Big Boss she truly is a Patriot and the mother of special forces sacrificed everything for her country which did care about her anymore. Number 4 is Raiden, his story his tragic and his redeemer and the true successor of Solid Snake. Number 5 is Octocan he is our eyes and our friend to the end. Honorable mentions are: Ocelot, Kaz Miller, Sniper Wolf, Gray Fox, Meryl, Meryl, Liquid, Solidus, Chico, Para Medic, Vulcan Raven, Emma, Amanda, Strangelove,Chile, Elisa and Psycho Mantis
My Spoilerific Top 6 (Hey if Kojima can break the rules here, I can too) *1 - Otacon* Let's face it, for most of us, he's easily the most relatable character. *2 - Raiden* I actually enjoyed his *whole* character arc. I really liked him in MGS2, LOVED his badass return in MGS4, and thought his part of the epilogue in 4 was the best part; it was short, simple and sweet. *3 - Ocelot* Gun spinning is the coolest thing ever and you all know it. Also _WREOW_ *4 - Big Boss* Mostly referring to his character post-killing of the Boss. Probably one of the most complex and well written characters in the series. But I suppose he needs to be, being pretty much the main thing holding all the stories together. *5 - Sniper Wolf* The most human villain that Snake kills, imo. Her death was the first time I cried during the series. But, then again, I cry pretty easy. Also, it probably helped that, at the time, I had just finished studying the 1980s Kurdish Genocide for my History course, so I'd gained a pretty good grasp on the atrocities she would have suffered through. *6 - Vamp* Less for his personality, more for the concept of an unstoppable not-vampire that fights exclusively with knives and fancy twirls. Kinda gay? Sure. Doesn't stop it from being awesome. And an honourable mention to Johnny Sasaki, the ultimate badass that somehow managed to steal away Snake's girl, despite baring his ass and shitting himself in front of her on multiple occasions. Waiting for fans to jump down my throat for my shit taste. I do like Solid, just not as much as the people I listed.
"somehow managed to steal away Snake's girl, despite baring his ass and shitting himself in front of her on multiple occasions" Hahahahaha! So true. Best line ever! Anyway, I actually enjoyed your Top 6 list! Also you didn't mentioned Grey Fox, which is a good thing -- at least for me. :P
BDsprite Sniper Wolf was very human, but she took it against many bastards in the world because of her family and village eliminated. But Psycho Mantis suffered from an abusive father, a horrible childhood that messed him up a lot. Vulcan Raven was a brute, killing machine, not a sentimental fellow. And Liquid was resentful and stubborn, although his idea of a country of soldiers operating against the "free world" (the US), like Big Boss wanted too, is very respectable. All in all, Foxhound is a much charismatic and interesting group than Dead Cell and the Cobras. And koodos on your analytic comment.
No, but I guess he's up there with crazy and unpredictable. He was gonna blow up the whole area, himself and teammates included. Biggest ego, definitely.
(Favorite of the series so far MGS3 Snake Eater) 1) Big Boss/Naked Snake 2)The Boss 3) Solid Snake/Old Snake 4) (tie) Revolver Ocelot and The End 5) Raiden/Jack the Ripper (MGS4) * Bring back David Hayter!!
What he said about The End still carries over into the final game, just not to the extent he might have wanted. It was still a long, tactical battle and it will be remembered as one of the most creative battles in a game.
Right?! XD I was actually really looking forward to that fight. I worked myself up to it before I had to go on vacation, so I could really have something to look forward to when I got back home. Two weeks later after I did I started playing and found his body, and I remember myself literally pausing for a few seconds and then saying out loud, "well shit." xD best "fight" ever. It really did come down to my patience.
Interesting choices Hideo Kojima chose and his explanation. He's created THE MOST complex and interesting characters in all video games. Based on that, it's difficult to anticipate which characters he'd favor the most from his masterpiece of a creation.
I agree with Kojima's decision to group Solid Snake and Big Boss as "Snake" in his answer. I love both characters, for their similarities and subtle differences. With that said, I find myself more emotionally engaged with Solid Snake's story, mostly because I actually see part of myself in him. I'm a very distant person, who has trouble socializing with others. When Snake tells Meryl "other people just complicate my life. I don't like to get involved", I felt rocked to the core, because that is exactly how I feel most of the time. That's why it really pains me when I read people say Big Boss had a more tragic life, as if it's a game of "who had a marginally shittier life", or that Solid Snake is just an emotionless clone, as if being reserved makes someone "less human."
Surprised Ocelot isn't on his list, he's one of my favorite characters of all time, and really was pulling many strings in the background of almost every game. He's one of my favorite video game characters in general, really. My personal list would probably be: Ocelot Solid Snake Big Boss The Boss Raiden Though I also really like Liquid, Otacon, The End, Gray Fox, Psycho Mantis, The Sorrow, and Vamp... So many great, memorable characters. Hell, I even really liked Fatman and Stillman's stories.
I 100% agree with you,Ocelot is the man in the Mgs Saga and the most complex character as well,he did what naver can, eliminate the Patriots thanks to Snake "help" in the end,my list: 1-Solid Snake 2-Revolver Ocelot 3-Big Boss 4-Gray Fox 5-Otacon
1. Sniper Wolf 2. Gray Fox/Cyborg Ninja 3. Fortune 4. Raging Raven 5. Olga Gurlukovich (sp?) I usually prefer the villains of MGS, as they always end up showing their vulnerability/humanity in the end. Plus, they're always cool.
otacon was an underrated character. despite the stereotypes of a nerd or otaku, he was an honarable character that became a stepfather to Olga gurlukovitch's daughter. I have nothing but respect
'Most players will probably feel closer connected to Otacon... no courage and constantly rejected by women.' Yep, Kojima definitely knows the average gamer.
My list (aka The Badass Council): 1. Gray Fox (Frank Fucking Jaeger) 2. The Boss 3. Naomi Hunter 4. Kaz MIller 5. Adamska Ocelot And the worst: 1. Sissy Raiden 2. Cool cyborg wannabe Raiden 3. Rose 4. Their sons 5. Their family
why you hate Raiden?you that he save solid snake two times and he is bad ass look play metal gear rising he is the best of the best {not better than solid snake and the big boss and the boss} and you hate rose? are you gay? she is fucking hot really you must be drunk to not like her.
well i hate her but she saved the world she created fox alive to destroy JD and GW {the two patriots AI} well she is a whore but she saved the world and she is fucking hot
I Liked Big Boss, Frank Jaeger, Miller the most. Oh and also Solid Snake especially from MGS 4. After playing all MG games it is very hard to choose the best one out of them, but I enjoyed MGS 1 and 4 the most.
1)The Boss 2)Solid Snake 3)Big Boss 4)Sniper wolf 5)Raiden I still remember a tears in my eyes in Sniper Wolf cutscene. That's the first time I'm cried in video game.
I think The End had the best boss battle, simply for it being so unique, but my favorite characters are: 1. Big Boss: 2. The Boss: 3. Solid Snake 4. Ocelot 5. Vamp
OMG this man Hideo Kojima his a true Legend Gamer Designer, so exited, what he got through all he done making Metal Gear games at same time like a movie! Ihope get a autograph.
5. Genome soldiers 4. Psycho Mantis 3. Meryl Silverburgh 2. Iroquois Pliskin 1. Sniper Wolf : "I was born on a battlefield. Raised on a battlefield. Gunfire, sirens and screams... They were my lullabies..." - Sniper Wolf to Solid Snake
I don't really have a favorite or top. I loved them all, Otocon was nerdy which was awesome. Ocelot was amazing. Vamp was really cool, Snake was legendary, same with Big Boss which wasn't too different, Raiden I liked even though people bashed him, don't know why when he was a very interesting character and much different than Snake which was good cause you don't want two similar characters other than Big Boss who was the guy who cloned his sons anyways, so makes sense. I probably hold Otacon the highest as he's most relatable, but all the characters were great. Wasn't a fan of most bosses in 4 though
1, Liquid Snake. 2, Revolver Ocelot. 3, Big Boss (Snake). 4, Psycho Mantis. 5, Vamp (i know people hate Vamp but i thought he was cool) I would love a MGS game in the future to play as Liquid, would be so awesome to play as that Snake for a change.
A game with Liquid before the events of Metal Gear Solid would be neat. Its funny that at the end, one of the most heroic characters was Ocelot. He died sacrificing himself just like his mother. Love that man lol
1. Big Boss 2. Solid snake 3. Boss 4. Ocelot 5. Eva Man that fight with ocelot at the end of 4 where you fought all his different personalities was badass.
kojima was giving hints about his new characters in mgs v tpp mantis=young mantis in tpp sniper the end=sniper quiet ghost sorrow that doesnt exist= skull in one of mgs v trailers it was mention ghosts that doesnt exist
1) Liquid Snake 2) Solid Snake 3) Otacon 4) Revolver Ocelot 5) Gray Fox Decoy Octopus almost made it onto my list, read a lot about him and he sounded pretty awesome, pity we didn't see more of him. Would love to know which Metal Gear is Kojima's favourite, mine was always Rex.
I never thought of Otacon as the one who represents the the player - a person who is not the hero but tries his best to support the hero. The player is Otacon observing Snake's progress throughout the years, guiding him through battlefields, becoming a very close and reliable friend.
DUDE hideo is a damn legend he just said characteristics of otacona and said everyone relates to him he basically just said we are all nerds and cant get a girl
Gray fox with cyborg body was awesome fight I couldn't figure out what he was but the technique to defeating him was unique he was a mystery character on playstation 1
1. SOLID SNAKE(little biased), BIG BOSS 2. OCELOT 3. OTACON 4. THE BOSS 5. SOLIDUS (underrated) Favorite Boss fight 1. THE END 2. THE SORROW(Clever and innovative). 3. THE BOSS 4. SNAKE VS LIQUID OCELOT 5. PSYCHO MANTIS
I'm surprised he didn't list The Boss, given how important her character is to the series, both as a thematic and as a narrative device. I always got the impression that Kojima particularly cared for her character, and even identified with her.
Let's be honest the best and most important character especially after all the games came out in venom Snake. This series doesn't exist without him. He set everything in motion. We didn't know it at the time but he is Metal gear solid.
first time facing The Sorrow, I saw that he had no health, so I tried throwing rations at him. it did not work.
rockimaru Thats smart thinking though!
rockimaru Lmfao, back in the day i really did not like playing this particular bit of the game because of the jumpscares.
rockimaru Daaaaaaang, I never thought of doing that! Not in my 3 playthroughs of MGS3 did I ever think of that. Shame it didn't work though.
+rockimaru that battle took me a while to figure out, i was at a friends house around the 5 time trying, my friend turned on the Cantina music from starwars on, the tone of the music and the tone of the scene was quite comedic
Lmao
I relate to Raiden the most as I have the tendency to run around and do cartwheels naked
Who doesn't?
Cyborg raiden is cool as heck tho
nelsonta00 I relate to Raiden as the badass mofo that showed up solid snake.
Thatguywhoplaysguitarandsingsonthatcornerdowntown

That's life friend
+Eggly Bagelface Maybe hunting the End as a bonus mission. Could be included for a hopefully upcoming PS4 remaster? :)
+Eggly Bagelface Hahaha But don't you think the real battle is hard enough?
You could just kill him with that "glitch".
Eggly Bagelface Dude I love The End battle but after 30 minutes without seeing him I get super pissed. That's just me but I'd snap a controller in half if it could be a week long battle.
"the first Snake was a blank"
*shows footage of Solid Snake in MGS*
thanks IGN
Can't spell ignorant without IGN
motorcycledude101 OMGGG they did one mistake! Kill them with fire!
gabrieltdelima Solid Snake was the first Snake that he made. He “kills” Big Boss in the first one.
@@ryanator7935 I think he meant that Snake in MGS1 already had a backstory, so the footage was inappropriate.
And the "1st snake" is a blank character when the og MGS starts!
Kojima is speaking about solid snake, not big boss.
love how kojima pretty much disses otacon than compares him to most people playing metal gear ha
I bet Kojima actually put a lot of himself (probably his younger self) into Otakon, lol.
Poop pee I'm part kojima. Lol.
I tried making a top 5 list but it is so damn hard, I love so many characters in this franchise; but for #1 it's gotta be Big Boss, his epic heroism was on a different level and he truly is a legend on the battlefield.
Macie, you here?
This is why Kojima is the best Game Director ever
+Conor Mc Colgan i agree

"I design them very differently from how you would design characters for a movie"
If only some western AAA devs would learn this...
I don't know why nobody ever mentions Solidus, i liked that character so much
Dude! Solidus has been completely forgotten! yet he had one of the biggest impacts on fans when we first played Sons of Liberty all those years back
Agreed
Maximiliano Alignani I know right??? I think Kojima kinda regrets that he couldn't have done more with him
+Maximiliano Alignani one of the things i miss are fist fights in MGS.
I hope that some how in Phantom Pain they do Big Boss vs Solidus
+Maximiliano Alignani he always gets the shit end of the stick for some reason, but I like him too, I was hoping to maybe get a glimpse of him in MGSV. he has a background working with child soldiers in the 80s in Africa so I was hoping that maybe we could get more lore about him.

I loved how honorable he was in battle and how he grew to admire John. That being said, I can't wait to see how he finally joins Big Boss and I know TPP is going to be a real treat. :)
I learned to like ocelot in mgs4 . Maybe I'm just a tan of power ful characters
gninja92 If you think about it, he was also very powerful in MGS3, but more in a manipulative backstabbing kinda way
GeminiGabRiElleSG i don't remember the story in mgs 3 too much and his involvement in it, but in part 4, he was again very manipulative. i mean if you think about it the 5 biggest PMCs were all his, and all were stronger than any single goverment military, and the FROGS unit was the best of the best, i mean how he manipulated the soldier sin Act 1, but especially in ACT3 where he reveals what "Guns of the Patriots" really is, i think just put him at the top of the "Evil crazy bad guys " list , plus since he could beat snake in a 1v1 at the time, that showed that he really did have it in him to be the top dog. ithink so anyways, i mean gray fox and vamp and all the other freaks were powerful and all but having real power over others like he did, thats no sci-fi, thats real,

Tucker Coolman Actually, his name is John. Jack is just a nickname of John.
A week long battle with The End would have been awesome.
1. Big Boss
2. Revolver Ocelot
3. Solid Snake

Snake, did you like my sunglasses?!
+LIQUIDSNAKEz28 I would replace Ocelot with Miller or maybe Mei Ling. "In China they say"
LIQUIDSNAKEz28 "In China they say 'Better to eat a dog than to point someone's eye's out with the chopsticks XD'"

The Boss has got to be my number one. Wouldn't mind a game about her.

+Jonnjon That's actually the dopest idea ever....

I'm shocked Ocelot was no where in there.
My Spoilerific Top 6 (Hey if Kojima can break the rules here, I can too)
*1 - Otacon*
Let's face it, for most of us, he's easily the most relatable character.

The best character in the MGS saga is: FATMAN.
"Laugh... and grow fat!" ;-)

Mert Tuncer Too right!!! :) :)
what about Revolver Ocelot, or Liquid Ocelot?
Mighty Mask Theoretically there was no Liquid Ocelot, and I meant Revolver when I said Ocelot, but I see what you mean
Jamie Beach Biologically there's only one ocelot.
Mighty Mask Yeah I know, different names
1. Solid Snake
2. Raiden
3. Liquid
4. Big boss
5. Revolver Ocelot
What he said about The End still carries over into the final game, just not to the extent he might have wanted. It was still a long, tactical battle and it will be remembered as one of the most creative battles in a game.
DSP should be made sit through what Kojima originally wanted the boss battle with The End to be like.
gilgamesh310 Hahahaha
1- Solid Snake
2- Big boss
3- Revolver Ocelot
4- The boss
5- Naomi Hunter
i never fought The End i just made him die of old age
Right?! XD I was actually really looking forward to that fight. I worked myself up to it before I had to go on vacation, so I could really have something to look forward to when I got back home. Albion 1977 yup
Mighty Mask
no really...whut?
My personal list would probably be:
Ocelot
Solid Snake
Big Boss
The Boss
Raiden
Though I also really like Liquid, Otacon, The End, Gray Fox, Psycho Mantis, The Sorrow, and Vamp... So many great, memorable characters. Hell, I even really liked Fatman and Stillman's stories.
I 100% agree with you,Ocelot is the man in the Mgs Saga and the most complex character as well,he did what naver can, eliminate the Patriots thanks to Snake "help" in the end,my list:
1-Solid Snake
2-Revolver Ocelot
3-Big Boss
4-Gray Fox
5-Otacon
1. Sniper Wolf
2. Gray Fox/Cyborg Ninja
3. Fortune
4. Raging Raven
5. Olga Gurlukovich (sp?)
I usually prefer the villains of MGS, as they always end up showing their vulnerability/humanity in the end. Plus, they're always cool.
the villains i didnt like were fatman and vamp. specifically fatman, i just cant take that dude seriously lmao.
Also big boss is a “villain"
Big Boss is the best character in the entire franchise.
Indeed he is.
***** So is big boss snake or what, im getting confused now,
John Mare Big Boss is the original Snake. Solid, Liquid and Solidus are clones.
Solid snake
***** but now solid snake was given the title big boss right?
man Kojima is an awesome guy i aspire to be like him one day
The Boss is not only Metal Gear's most badass character, but one of the greatest video game characters of all time.
I like The Pain because I'm afraid of Bees.
Wait you like someone because of a fear of bees? How does that make sense?
Ssbb7777brawler He confronts his fear in a game, thats cool
They're not bees, theyre hornets.
-Big Boss
-Venom Snake (he is altruist, wise and right i like him)
-Ocelot
-Solid Snake
-kaz (played like a damn fiddle)
-Johnny
My favorite character was snakes mother! The Boss or The Joy ( i was unaware of her name as the joy, only fought her once and i cried)
This dude is a legend. Seriously, Konami would be nothing without Hideo. I'll follow him whatever project he chooses.
otacon was an underrated character. despite the stereotypes of a nerd or otaku, he was an honarable character that became a stepfather to Olga gurlukovitch's daughter. I have nothing but respect
'Most players will probably feel closer connected to Otacon... no courage and constantly rejected by women.' Yep, Kojima definitely knows the average gamer.
The End boss battle is my favorite ever
My list (aka The Badass Council):
1. Gray Fox (Frank Fucking Jaeger)
2. The Boss
3. Naomi Hunter
4. Kaz MIller
5. Adamska Ocelot
And the worst:

I Liked Big Boss, Frank Jaeger, Miller the most. Oh and also Solid Snake especially from MGS 4.
After playing all MG games it is very hard to choose the best one out of them, but I enjoyed MGS 1 and 4 the most.
1)The Boss
2)Solid Snake
3)Big Boss
4)Sniper wolf
5)Raiden
I still remember a tears in my eyes in Sniper Wolf cutscene.
That's the first time I'm cried in video game.
I think The End had the best boss battle, simply for it being so unique, but my favorite characters are:
1. Big Boss:
2. The Boss:
3. Solid Snake
4. Ocelot
5. Vamp
This was the most epic thing I've seen all week or maybe all month.

1. Sniper Wolf :
"I was born on a battlefield. Raised on a battlefield. Gunfire, sirens and screams... They were my lullabies..."
- Sniper Wolf to Solid Snake
I don't really have a favorite or top. I loved them all, Otocon was nerdy which was awesome. Ocelot was amazing. Vamp was really cool, Snake was legendary, same with Big Boss which wasn't too different, Raiden I liked even though people bashed him, don't know why when he was a very interesting character and much different than Snake which was good cause you don't want two similar characters other than Big Boss who was the guy who cloned his sons anyways, so makes sense. I probably hold Otacon the highest as he's most relatable, but all the characters were great. Wasn't a fan of most bosses in 4 though
1. Big Boss
2. Kaz
3. Solid Snake
4. The Boss
5. Psycho Mantis
1, Liquid Snake.
2, Revolver Ocelot.
3, Big Boss (Snake).
4, Psycho Mantis.
5, Vamp (i know people hate Vamp but i thought he was cool)
I would love a MGS game in the future to play as Liquid, would be so awesome to play as that Snake for a change.
A game with Liquid before the events of Metal Gear Solid would be neat. Its funny that at the end, one of the most heroic characters was Ocelot. He died sacrificing himself just like his mother. Love that man lol
1. Big Boss
2. Solid snake
3. Boss
4. Ocelot
5. Eva
Man that fight with ocelot at the end of 4 where you fought all his different personalities was badass.

Decoy Octopus almost made it onto my list, read a lot about him and he sounded pretty awesome, pity we didn't see more of him. Would love to know which Metal Gear is Kojima's favourite, mine was always Rex.
1. Ocelot
2. Otacon
3. The Boss
4. Jetstream Sam (not certain if he counts but he's a delight)
5. Raiden
The Sorrow was such a memorable moment in MGS3! I'm hoping that Kojima experiments with the bosses in MGS5: The Phantom Pain in a similar way!!!
I'm gonna say it...Solidus Snake was my favorite!!! The End was great, Ocelot in MGS3. Its insane to pick because they all are such bad asses!!

3. Psycho Mantis
4. Gray Fox
5. The Boss
I never thought of Otacon as the one who represents the the player - a person who is not the hero but tries his best to support the hero. The player is Otacon observing Snake's progress throughout the years, guiding him through battlefields, becoming a very close and reliable friend.
Solid snake should be everyone's #1
+Solid Snake I like solid snake a lot but big boss holds a special place on my hart so he is my no1
No.
The Boss: For being so wise
Psycho Mantis: For despising people that are slaves to their genes.
My top 5 characters
1.Soldier #1
2. Johhny
3.cardboard box
4. The Codec
5. Major Raikov
I remember The Sorrow. Creepy bastard scared me senseless during my time playing that game. Also, he and The Boss (?) are Revolver Ocelot's parents?
Hideo wanted a boss to last for a week? haha love that
1. SOLID SNAKE(little biased), BIG BOSS
2. OCELOT

Favorite Boss fight
1. THE END
2. THE SORROW(Clever and innovative).
3. THE BOSS

5 Roy Campbell
HM Grey Fox,Liquid and Solidus Snake,Raiden pre Ninja,Eva
I'm surprised he didn't list The Boss, given how important her character is to the series, both as a thematic and as a narrative device. I always got the impression that Kojima particularly cared for her character, and even identified with her.
1- solid snake, or big Boss
2- ocelot
3-otacon
4-the boss
5- vamp
Let's be honest the best and most important character especially after all the games came out in venom Snake. This series doesn't exist without him. He set everything in motion. We didn't know it at the time but he is Metal gear solid.
My top 5:
1. Ocelot
2. Big Boss
3. Solid Snake
4. Psycho Mantis
5. Tie between Raven and Sniper Wolf.
