This is the 1915 silent film adaptation of Lewis Carroll's novel "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" directed and written by W.W. Young and starring Viola Savoy as Alice. Original music composed by Marco De Boni.

I've often found it odd that many of the numerous adaptions of Alice in Wonderland
actually omitted the Pool of Tears. And none of them displayed "You Are Old, Father
William" completely. But, for me, it was this adaption that did the Pool of Tears in the
most unique way of all.
Better than some versions of Alice with sound, color & huge budgets

" kids " today ( which in my opinion ) have the attention span of a gnat world not dig the beauty of black and white silence. Once while attempting verbal communication with a 20 something, it told me he can't watch anything in black and white because he wasn't born yet. HA!. Whoa lad,I was not alive @ the time of Mozart but that Never prevented me from the appreciation of his music. Au contrer,Contreras, only piqued my curiosity. Then again that's me.70 yrs.old. I assure you, I've not changed an in the slightest, regarding music, films eh yes. Jazz,my tThang." Pro. Union at 16.played rock..punk, jazz..even classical. What am I on about? Nothing. It falls on deaf ears.
I really don't think if I were any animal - that I would appreciate being hoisted
up by my ears.

Well Lewis Carroll was pretty clear on his inspirations ... The film makers who are all dead just adapted it

Very nice... I'm really enjoying the music which keeps revitalizing itself throughout the length of the entire film. I don't have a Spotify account, but is this soundtrack music available elsewhere for purchase? I would like to have a high quality audio format of it like FLAC. In other words, I think the music deserves appreciation with or without the film.

Almost everything before 1923 more like everything before 1923 is in the public domain for movies dont know bout the music but if the music is copyrighted they post it without the music

this was a great movie I would love to see the world back then I bet it was a lot better than then it is now
Well, WWI was raging and three years later there was the outbreak of the "Spanish Flu". Those two events combined killed 67 to 120 million people approximately.
But I bet myself the world back then was a lot better than it is now.
Yeah, it's quite pretty - but...there's too many essential stuff from the book missing.
Busty Blonde Beach Bunny it cant be through the looking glass because this follows the story of Alice in wonderland, plus TTLG does have a short cameo from the hatter and Hare

What makes the more creepy than it already is, is that everyone in this film are long dead.

SamAM16, This was a silent film. It is original music composed specifically for the film for the 100th anniversary of its release. (see the notes to the video)
