    That thing sounds great!!! Fantastic playing as usual Michael. I went on the CB hunt in Syracuse NY today. I got some cool stuff. I found 11 boxes I've never seen before and they were only 2 bucks each woot woot.

    That's awesome, love that guitar. I don't have any open E tuned yet. I've got one in DAD, and one is GDG. Maybe my next build, I may try the open E.

    Awesome. You just have a mag pickup on the 5" resonator guitar, correct? Would a piezo amplify more of the actual resonator tone in your opinion?

    • @SouthernFireGuitars
      @SouthernFireGuitars  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks, yes just the P90. A piezo may amplify the cone sound a bit more yes. M~

    Love it!!! I actually prefer this one over the larger cone guitar. Which one do you like better?

    Don't these covers muffle the resonator's effect a bit?
    Keep these beauty coming on towards our screens and ears! Cheers.

      Thanks. Big. Not sure on that one, I haven't played with them enough, with and without covers. M~

      @@SouthernFireGuitars Thanks for replying Mike.
      Just noticed I have a tuning fork right in front of my keyboard and this is an old tool also used to test instruments' acoustics. Placing a vibrating tuning fork on a CBG's box with and without the resonator would be a quick and easy test to check the cover's effects on the sound. You don't even need the strings to be on.
      Cheers.
