So I’m watching newsies on Netflix and after I casually scroll through Instagram. Someone pointed out that the Santa Fe Jack painted for Medda’s backdrop during this scene has the same color pallet as Katherine’s costume during the first half of the second act... it’s because she’s becoming his Santa Fe 🤯 The 2017 newsies btw :)
This scene is one of the best because Kyle is an awesome jack Kelly and also the same thing for Clayton hider, Olivia Cornett and mark miller not only that this song is a masterpiece thank you tka for putting this show production because it’s awesome and amazing
@@lilykat4236 Yeah but Les is talking about Sally "the plum" he's only 10 years old rather than Jack and Katherine who are much older and dont kiss at all in this version
@@Isa-qz9mb I mean, I get it’s a bit too young to have a date at ten, but why did they stop Jack and Katherine kissing? (I’m not Christian, I’m Hindu.)
Katherine Plumber/Pulitzer: " Jack, you look like Hell" Me: He just got back ( Ok no, Wrong musical quote from the answer of Veronica Sawyer with Heather Duke in the musical of "Heathers ")
whoever is playing jack, HE REALLY SOUNDS LIKE JEREMY?! WHAT THE-
Jack was played by TKA senior Kyle Martin.
JustYourAverageWannabe ok so I am in performing arts and we WERE gonna do Newsies (it’s canceled) but the guy who plays Davey sounds just like him lol
HE DOES BUT A LITTLE HIGHER THAN JEREMY IF THAT MAKES SENSS
Sense

Jack's sarcasm was so good. And you can so tell Katherine is falling in love, she doesn't want to lose him.
So the poor guys head is really spinning :)

So what are you waiting for?
He lost his plum :[
lol sad they changed it..
this height difference is perfect
In our production our Les is a sophomore (and we do have talented eight year olds as ensemble newsies) and he’s taller than almost everything
A Fun and Friendly Name in our production les is a senior but it’s fine because she’s shorter than everybody
Clay is doing an amazing job here. Everyone does

Whoever played jack and his friend are insanely talented and incredible

HOW DID YOU KNOW
@@blandrice8884 Because it's one of the most iconic moments in this musical and for our beloved Ben Fankhauser (Benoncé)
song starts at 4:30
I just got casted as Davey in a local production of this and I am ecstatic at the thought of preforming this number. 😊
Break a leg!
I just got a callback for davey Im hella scared and this song is in the audition cut
this is the clean version my children ahahaha
These guys are awesome 😍
This is amazing but you've should've kept "And I've gotta date" in.
This is actually amazing
I’m speechless, chills, literal chills
why do i love the way davey says "dozens of goons"
This was really good. Great acting.
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Davey: We're on the front page, above the fold. Oh yes, get this: ABOVE the fold.
How come they changed Les’s “And I have a date” line at the end of the song??
Because this is a Christian school production
@@Isa-qz9mb but that doesnt make sense because Jack and Katherine still have there relationship

What about the “ AND I HAVE A DATE!” That les says
Katherine Plumber/Pulitzer: " Jack, you look like Hell"
Me: He just got back ( Ok no, Wrong musical quote from the answer of Veronica Sawyer with Heather Duke in the musical of "Heathers ")
This is awesome
IM WATCHING THE WATCH WHAT HAPPENS REPRISE ON TV AND THIS POPPED UP
Clay Hider is a handsome young man with a beautiful, large mouth in which to form the sounds of his tremendous singing!
the poor guys head is spinning was on point
“Above the fold..” hahah lmfao

DOZENS OF GOONS
"she's a plum" was left out but I'll give it a pass
So was the iconic "And I've got a date!" line :'(
LES WAS ROBBED OF HIS LINES
I love this school but I wish they didn’t slow everything down in the music

You're welcome (:
Well if I'm going to do Thin Ice, I gotta Start somewhere, Careful Sue or this will be you. WOJCICKI YOUR ON THIN ICE!
5:10 GO AND LOOK IT UP THE POOR GUYS HEAD IS SPINNING
Les in this is way too grownup. He's supposed to be the navie little kid not a teenager .
This is just my opinion, I genuinely love this performance
Actually I think the kid who played Les was in the 5th or 6th grade so he was about the same age as the kids who played Les on broadway
the cc is funny hehehe
The tempo is way to slow
