    I really like what you have done. It reminded me of myself when I realized that you saved a part from an old project and repurposed it for a new project. My Junk Pile is the beginning of a new use for something, and that is a portable antenna for my truck that isn’t very obvious, but still very effective !

    G'day Almir! Wooohoooo! Congratulations on a fantastic build my friend. This is just absolutely awesome. WOW the DX you were hearing was incredible, and the noise is zero! Congrats on a great build buddy, and thanks so much for posting this video. This makes me so happy when I see an antenna like this working so well. Cheers my friend!

      @@martinfischer5766 Hi Martin, this is where I got the idea for my delta loop www.bay-net.org/uploads/1/2/2/7/122774721/ki6oid_delta_loop.pdf , lately I found that if you deploy on horizontal plane is less material but you need the help from trees. The nice thing is that on 20m will resonate on 10m as well :}

    Hello! Last summer in afternoon I received in 10M band several far station. As I suppose - it was radio stations on trucks or cars. One group of stations appeared and disappeared, then was second group of stations e.t.c. I used for it DEGEN-DE1103 with 7-8 meters of wire. I have NO license - I only had in past (it had burnt accidentally ) homemade AM/FM transmitter (5W) that I use for experiments with medium-wave and shortwave bands ))).

    It would be a great project. But may I ask, is it possible to just use an ugly BALUN like I used in my rotary dipole? You know, RG58 wrapped around a PVC pipe.

    • @VE3DAL

      I done that balun before with vertical antenna but I'm not sure if it works with yagi antennas. The one that I used it cost $20 only. 73's

    • @VE3DAL
      @VE3DAL  9 месяцев назад

      Hey Francisco thank you so much I appreciate! Continuing with your question. I'm new on ham radio but I believe the ugly balun is for RF noise reduction and not a impedance matching. For example I have a delta loop antenna for 10m on my backyard that antenna is about 112ohms so it needs a 1:1 balun to make approximately 50ohms both ends. Best 73's for you and your family my friend!

    • @franciscolopez3229
      @franciscolopez3229 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@VE3DAL I copy that sir. I remember it now, some say that the ugly BALUN cuts off common mode current going back to the radio. Hope to catch you on 10 meters someday. 73, DW1QEW.

  • @Aleziss
    @Aleziss 9 месяцев назад +1

    you know that you can do the opposite, have the dipole and a director instead of the reflector. That gives a little bit more gain but you sacrifice front to back rejection. I run a 2el using a dipole and director and it works very well also. Has more gain than a inverted V at the same height.

    • @VE3DAL
      @VE3DAL  9 месяцев назад

      I didn't know that, thank so much for the info. 73 my friend.
