There were so many emotions that I experienced with this drama. I cried, smiled, got emotional and suffered a lot. It has certainly become one of my favorites. My heart is warm with this ending. ❤🥺

Season 1 was all about Uk discovering himself. Everyone who knew tried to hide it. Who is meant to be this powerful being and finally learning and accepting it. Along the way found his master and fell in love…. Which ended tragically.
Season 2 is all about their love story developing. They were always meant to be with each other, to find each other. And love story was beautifully done. Even with the different face… after 3 years, when Uk laid eyes on Naksu (whose face it is and was still her soul too), he was smitten and drawn. He just didn’t understand fully why then. Same as her. She didn’t remember but her heart knew.
That development and definitely the chemistry between LJW and GJY, helped. It is quite insane when they look at each other… the chemistry just burning
For the love story, I loved the season 2 but enjoyed season 1 for each of the characters development. And Uk having this power but still mourning for her and carrying all the burden, that cold Uk but so so strong was definitely a change compared to the happy go lucky season 1 Uk.
I so love this story from beginning to end!❤ The growth of Jang Uk from this arrogant jokester to this caring hero is so cool. Actually the growth of all the characters is wonderful to watch. I am now restarting the series for the 4th time. I am just hooked on AOS! ❤❤❤

For all those thay say that the 2nd season is inferior, you must watch BOTH seasons and see them as a continuous story, where, AMONG OTHER CHANGES, Naksu / Mu Deok / Cho Yeong / Jin Bu Yeon went from a Solo AOE/DPS Mage Assassin into a SUPPORT/HEALER/AOE GODDESS, while Jang Uk went from a weakling polititian into a Solo AOE/DPS Mage Assassin

The preference for the second Naksu is only because Jang UK was a better kisser in Season 2. This is due to the fact that Koreans have this age idiosyncrasy. Jung So-min is older than Jae Wook, they probably didn't feel comfortable kissing each other. But Mu-Deok was more badass than Naksu.
Mudeok was more badass than Buyeon. Naksu was the one we see in epidode 1 of season 1. I have no idea why they decided to nerf her in season 2 when it is the same damn actress from season 1 episode 1!!!

Yes, it's a happy ending as Naksu didn't die as she live as buyeon & Jang Uk's wife, some says Buyeon(Naksu/ChoYeong) is pregnant in the last scene of S2 when they(JangUk&BuYeon) were hunting those missing relics
