I'm glad I found your tutorial. Since I'm a complete beginner I was hoping to learn everything the correct way right from the start. 😀You are the best.
Thanks Pierre. Another fantastic contribution from you in promoting and teaching this game we all love!
Thank you for enjoying my videos Amar 😊🙏
Fantastic video, Pierre! You covered many nuances along with the details. Very helpful. Thank you for your efforts. Merci beaucoup
It is too important to know who you are, you are learning from each and everyone, it is your unique victory, Mr. Piere ,

Thank you sir! Great educational video! You are the best teacher! You are truly helping thousands out there to improve their Carrom game. Much appreciated.
Thank you very much 🙏 I'm glad you find it useful
It is a very nice video for beginners and regular players. I would add here that locking grip is a better option for beginners. For regular players, to change any grip (other than locking grip) to locking grip is not easy because they are not used to with this grip and all persons playing carrom have different sizes of fingers. One (regular player) has to work hard to adopt and stick to locking grip and wait for better results.
Very well narration of different types of locking grips in this video. It will be useful to carrom players who will choose one of the locking grips.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience unselfishly with carrom fraternity.🙏
Thanks for your comment 🙏
really shows your passion and interest on carrom and so broad minded to say some best carrom players name, you are so wise and good.
Thank you so much 🙂
Strangest one man talent show I’ve ever seen at the start of this video lol I just found out about this game, have to figure out how to get me a board now. I might be obsessed!
Hi Pierre. Madhu here from Chennai. At @01:00, I had an opportunity to learn this technique ( when I was a kid), taught by 'Bangaru Babu' (considered as father of Carrom by many in India). He had asked everyone to stand, raise our playing hand in front of us at 90 degrees( like taking an Oath) and then crumple the newspaper using fingers alone. It was very effective then to play our shots well.
Wow !! thanks for your experience returns !! I know Sir Bangaru Babu, we met several times in International tournaments. Maybe this news papers technique come from him; and i heard it somewhere. I hope you're still playing and enjoying the game !!
@@seyeah1 I had an opportunity to attend a training when I was about 24. Now I am 36, with a full time job which took precedence 🙂.
I recently had an opportunity to interact with you on youtube. Remember 'carrom de club' 🙂. I have started to prepare for competitive level over the last 4 months, with an aim to prove my potential within 2 years. Hopefully our future paths will cross each other 🙂
@@seyeah1 No doubt I still am enjoying the game. My achievements though, are at a very low level compared to competitive levels 😇. I won 2 years straight when I was in school and a year back, was the winner at my intra-company tournament 🙂🙂. There came the spark back to me! Not everyone makes it to the competitive level like you 😉😊😊
Explaining of the experience champion,i love it so much, keep it up bro😎
What a superb video and tutorial! I totally endorse this! Excellent Pierre . You've made history with this !
Thank you very much Louis 🙏🙏
I had locking grip when i started but over the years i made changes. But i realize the fact that it gives u better control and adds power to our shot wherever necessary. As always great insights and very useful information provided.
Thank you very much 🙏

Its quite interesting for me as Im a player who has only ever used the scissor grip and prefer thinner striker. Im from Mauritius btw. Carrom is quite popular here.
Thanks for the clarity Pierre! It's really cool. This is what I want. Feeling bit confident now. Thank you so much Man!

Excellent info Pierre
Thank you so much sir for this great and helpful information
Welcome
Really cool video. Thanks a lot!
True professional. I like the way you teach. Very detailed. Thank you. I have always played using my middle finger and I can say I am an average player. But I could not get better. I used to see other guys play using the pointer finger and I was just too lazy to start all over again switching fingers. After seeing this video i understood that it is possible to switch esp if there is experience and understanding of the geometric of the game, then all os required is a practice and patience. I have tried and am surprised at the outcome. Using focus patience and experience I am confident.
Thanks for your comment, I was also scared at first to change my grip after so many years playing with the middle finger, but really it was benefic to me. I trusted in Arun Deshpande's advice and he was right, even if it took me several years to become again European Champion, it was a good decision.
All the best to you for your improvements with the index finger grip
Thank u sir.. This is a best grip tutorial video... 🙏🙏

Hello Pierre, I have a cheap but new carrom, but it doesn't slide! Can you please tell me how to use the Powder to make it smooth? (I bought WTC powered but don't dare .... Fear if putting too much or too little and therefore damage the board!!)

Hi pierre, please make a video on how you clean the board surface for smooth running of striker.
Nice
Thanks For Sharing sir🌹🌹🌹🌹
Good Information
I bet u saw ASHRAF KHAN'S video on cleaning carrom board and u didn't get satisfied 😂...
Umm your not supposed to clean the board its for slipping and the next time you play or the next round but i think its you can do what you want to do
Merci beaucoup.
Welcome Martin
Pierre, I observed you keep your index at angle but we always get advice to keep it vertical.
It's my natural way actually, you can watch also how Rashmi is doing with even more angle
I also now play with some angle because it is natural for me also I find the power and control more than vertical.
When we have some important task to do, we always watch these videos. :P
🤣🤣
Hi Pierre, nicely explained. Carrom board lamp is very nice. What's price and from where to purchase one?
Hi , thanks !! I bought this lamp in Leroy Merlin in Reunion Island where i live... you can find similar ones in IKEA in Eruope

Hi Pierre. Madhu here. No videos for a long time.
Some tips and tricks video will be helpful 🙂
Wow, nice video bro. May I know the time-out period for a carrom shot ( 10 sec or 15 sec?)
Thank you !
In International rules it's 15s, but in India i don't know now if it's 10 or 15s in official tournaments. I think 15 also
Sir which material striker is best & which material u ar using in matchs ?????
sir it is relay very important information about grip
Thanks a lot 🙏🙏
Hello, I have searched all internet, but don’t know what is the logic behind the semi circle arrows, and the design on the carrom board. Any chance you could explain please?
Good question, I'll try to ask experts about that
i know that we have to tab index fingure with thumb aim than realese it
Sir please tell me how to avoid slipping of Stricker sir I am using locking grip but even due to small powder my fingers starts slipping sir please tell me what should I do
Hi, the only solution i see is to play maximum, till it becomes automatic and you'll earn confidence, without feeling this slipping problem
Sir, why have you changed your grip from middle finger to index finger. If Any disadvantages with middle finger please make a video😊
Hi very nice please make more videos sir and where do you purchase Striker. And kind of striker you use......
Hi , thank you Sir .. I bought strikers in different places in India, from Irfan Khan in Delhi, Ayan Khan in Mumbai, Ashraf Khan in Panvel... All Khans !!
Can I get contact of those.... and what type of type of striker you use sir?
I play with my index finger just like you. I find it difficult to to play long powerful shot . I'm good enough to play it slowly and smoothly . But to play long shots, rebound or cut shots my aim gets wrong for powerful shots. Can you give some advice other than saying practice more ????
Can you do a timeline for this video and share...
Dear Pierre what is flicking in carrom while releasing
Love u😘
