Great video. This place is now sealed and the locals are keeping a very close eye on it. It's such a shame to see this beautiful historic building fall into disrepair hopefully it can be saved.
It will probably fall down within a few years if nothing is done. Maybe the owner wants it to so they can sell the land.
Bit of a sad story behind this one. The Hotel was owned by Ian and Helen Pereira originally under the company name Helenian holdings ltd. Sadly Helen passed away from Cancer in 2012 aged just 58, leaving Ian and Son Ryan who was only a child at the time. So I would suspect that the hotel closed at around the same time, although Helenian Holdings was dissolved in 2010 so it may have closed at the start of Helen's illness. Ian is currently heavily involved in the Northern Soul scene and from his Instagram profile he appears to live in Stourbridge. So perhaps he has just given up doing anything with the hotel.
It's a shame as the water damage is really bad inside , another year or two and other parts will start collapsing. Hopefully the owners will see this video and try to fix it or sell it on. Thanks for the comment 👍
