I was in Ukraine once. Ukrainians are very nice, polite and interesting people. They don't smile a lot but it's the Russians' fault. Ukrainians come to Poland, you are welcome here. Many Ukrainians work and live in Poland, they are nice, polite, hardworking and friendly. Ukrainian women are beautiful.
I knew a lady that married a guy to give him citizenship, he paid her well, but she didnt like him, refused to let him stay in her house, but was able to get him an apartment across street & down 2 units, so when they came to do random checks, he was always at his "friends house" hanging out, she could call him & he walk over in just a minute, they never suspected anything, they got divorced as soon as legal time was over, & I think it was 2 years as well. as for names, it took my wife a long time to be able to spell my last name, I use an abbreviation, since thats what most people say to make it easier.

I do not believe in false marriage in Ukraine. Ukrainian women seem to me to be very beautiful (I write from Brazil). With daily coexistence, the foreigner will end up falling in love with the Ukrainian woman. The external aspect of marriage can be interpreted as a false relationship, but within the heart of the foreigner, the marriage is true!
So I have looked into this as I am planning to move to Ukraine, I am from the UK and we allow dual Nationality. Ukraine does as well, Article 4 does say only 1 citizenship in Ukraine but further down there are exceptions to this and the UK is one of these. That said it is discretionary and not guaranteed. I suppose if you can prove your marriage or business is real then it would be easier.

I know the United States sees a lot of immigration that way, and I understand it's the same way for many other nations, i.e. Canada. That way you move to where you want to live, you make yourself genuinely productive when you move there, and most importantly, everything is above the table (no deception). from my understanding of new laws here in the states....they do polygraph test now....lie detector test. thing is with a marriage...sorry to say it can 2 months as long as its legalized in ukraine.its because she is considered family and a spouse. she can not however come here and work for about a year give or take.

@Glen Mayne my lawyer is / was a immigration lawyer and she is a russian immigrant.laws change. i already know / knew where the interview takes place.i think the polygraph protection act if i am not mistaken only applies for jobs in certain industries such as defense or distribution of defense related materials such as parts for things like tanks and the humvees. i know that...i had to take one for a job a long time ago but i dont think it applies for things such as a marriage visa. given they are roughly 98%-99% accurate i can see why they would use them in this case...to prevent scams. i believe this could be a i.c.e. law now or a law pertaining to homeland security. give trumps mental state at times....who knows if they do it or not.in all fairness...i do believe they are given at request...at the least
I wouldnt even attempt to marry without seeing the girl first and spending some time with her. Same with purchasing a home. Not buying something i cant inspect for myself. However i would be willing to compensate which ever woman i married if she agreed to remain married to me legally for the full 2 years.

I think very few would give up a E.U. passport for a leap in the Dark ie Ukraine passport.Imagine language barrier alone.With the greatest respect it looks a beautiful country.
