Shay is THE perfect role model. And I think Emily Field is probably one of the best lesbian characters on tv because they don't make a big deal out of it. I loved her friends their reaction, I loved the story line with her mom - they handled this in such a great way.

This is why I love her!! She is real about it. She doesn't become defensive like most actors who play gay characters. She says it how it is and knows the impact she has. Most actors say it is about the connection between two people and not about their character's sexuality but Shay gets that being a gay character on TV has a massive impact on people (especially younger people) who connect with her character and gain confidence from seeing people they can relate to on their favourite TV shows.
Everyone can relate to her Character on the Show, im straight and I can see myself in Emily shes Loyal, Caring and Brave and I can totally relate to that, what I Love about her character is that her sexual preference doesnt define her through the story line. Shays character is my Favorite.
Emily is my favourite too. Then Spencer. Then Aria. Then Hanna. I relate the most with Emily and Spencer, I think, since I'm a bit of a an overachiever and I do stress easily, but I love Aria and Hanna too. Even if I put Hanna last, I get tears watching her empathize with people and always care about them in her own quirky way.
Ashley Benson is so beautiful and cute. Lucy Hale is adorable and sexy. Troian Bellisario is amazing. BUT Shay Mitchell is incredibly charming, seductive, enigmatic and sultry. She really is my favorite girrrrrrrl....... :P

Shay never had a relationship with a girl in her entire life but she has an open mind about gays because she has relatives and friends who are gay. Shay has a bf whom she has been dating for a few years now. Don't see a "bi" vibes in her.
