I really don’t like a lot of the decisions Elijah starts making this season. He’s becoming quite ruthless. I’m glad Hayley has an issue with the fact that he was willing to sacrifice all those children. The Hollow is a very frightening villain with a quite interesting story. I still love the moments between Klaus and Marcel. No matter how much they hate each other, Klaus was still trying to protect him when he needed to.
I love that they showed Hayley questioning him cause it’s much more consistent with her character. All that excusing she did for his action in season 3 was so ooc
Hearing Klaus say "Thank you." Shows true character development. In tvd I could never imagine seeing him like he is. All thanks to a little infant who could only sit there and stare (No offence Hope, I love you!)
The Originals are kinda stuck in the past in a metaphorical way, since a lot of them were locked up in different ways, but Klaus and Hayley seem to be trying to change from their original for their daughter

Here’s the breakdown of the ring when they are told they can change at will means they can unleash the power of the wolf form in their human form while wearing the ring. If they want change on the full moon in their wolf form they have to take the ring off. Haley, Jackson and the rest of the crescents were part of the wedding ceremony to give them Hayley’s power of not having to turn cuz she was a hybrid they are wolves with hybrids gift of shifting and not shifting. The wolves who were loyal to Esther ditch the rings cuz they got Hayley’s hybrid shifting power. Keelin isn’t from their bloodline and she wasn’t there for the wedding ceremony so she needs the ring to not shift by force cuz of the moonlight.
I never understood the rings as letting you turn into a Wolf whenever you want, this being reserved to hybrids. From what I know it keeps you from the curse of having to turn during a full moon if you are wearing it.
